It won't be bad to brush your comprehension and understanding skills. I said the FAAC was pre-informed that the Government is to withdraw $2b in early Nov. The FAAC was also informed in Early december when about $1billion was withdrawn and again informed in early January after another $1billion was withdrawn. Did anyone tell you that the FAAC "approved"? Demdem: |

Mogidi:$16billion right?... but your hero GEJ spent even more than that. Are you aware that virtually all the plants commisioned by GEJ were started and progressed to advanced stages by obj with the same $16 billion you talk about?... Are you aware that GEJ did not start a single new power plant?.... Are you aware that GEJ privatised our power generation plants yet he still spent more government money on these privatised plants than OBJ spent? How many megawatts did GEJ add to our entire power generation capacity in his 5 year misrule? 11 Likes 1 Share |

barcanista:You think you're talking to kids? Did Yar'Adua end his tenure or Jonathan did? Why should we ask a dead man what he left? Is Jonathan, his deputy who rose to acting President and then substantive President to end his (Yar'Adua) tenure, not the right person to ask? The question should be what Jonathan left in the ECA in both 2011 and 2015. 8 Likes |

barcanista: Goon, ur spinning capability is fast becoming dusty. is this due to jonah-daft loss? Pre-informed means Before the deed was done...................before the withdrawal. Can u substantiate this? What the commisoners said was they were informed after the deed was done and not before. Even at that, what is the FAAC business with ECA? She attends NEC, that was the right place to get approval from The commissioners stated that “indeed, the FAAC noted and observed accordingly the withdrawal from the ECA of a total sum of $2 billion in December. “The then minister of finance and chairman of the FAAC when asked during the plenary of the FAAC meetings of the respective months explained that the former president gave approval for the withdrawals from the ECA to pay oil marketers subsidy claims as they had threaten to stop importing petroleum products. According to her, he further explained that this action will be ratified by NEC.” 6 Likes 1 Share |

There is NO law anywhere that said the FG should obtain approval from FAAC before it can withdraw from ECA. In fact, the Governors kicked when the FG transferred $1billion from ECA to SWF. The money was not spent on Iwaela subsidy but Nigeria subsidy. As long as the Governors and all 36 Finance Commissioners didn't shout then, they have no case. If they think they do, they should direct it to FG or Finance Ministry and not "Mrs Iwaela". 2 Likes |
