Interesting BIOGRAPHY though I am uncertain about its relevance to the subject

Well I am very sorry for the irrelevance of my post, but just to buttress the fact that a woman can have her own money, the husband can have his own money and both husband and wife can have joint money and investment.

And a man should not think he can and must do it alone in this age and time, and real men support the progress of their wives and must not be parasitic on their wives' money.

My brother you guys don't have financial challenges na. Infact you guys are absolutely balling. There is nothing to learn from you on family financial management.

I had and i still have financial issues, but with planning, prudence and discipline one can easily overcome money issues in the family.

If a hardworking and disciplined graduate of about 20 years cannot have some of the basic things outlined, what then is the essence of our education.

That is a good point to make I am not sure how your biography helps to buttress it..

The the husband of the OP uses the wife's money and even depleted the savings which the wife wanted to use for her graduate studies, and another person used his own family's case study to show that a man and his wife can both have their personal money and investments, they can also both own assets together and you are still a loss about the relationship of the OP's case and how another family have devised a formula that works for them.

Although what works for family A may not work for family B, but I guess the OP can learn one or more things from the scenario described. OP is a good woman, who needs to educate her husband on financial discipline, financial planning, financial independence, savings and investments, these are the strategies that can solve money issues.

A rehash of the facts are unnecessary we all read them the issue is why it is necessary for you to tell us how many houses you and your wife own or how many houses she inherited and how that further illuminates the debate. I am unsure what value that serves for us it may serve some obscure purpose for YOU but it is unnecessary.Everybody has a story no doubt bu there is a time and place for everything. On this occasion we do not need to hear your biography or family BALANCE SHEET

I guess it is also unnecessary for the OP to share her family issues, challenges and successes with us, if one is to go by your own belief of what is necessary.

It is a free world, nobody stops you from sharing your story. The OP shared her story and I learnt somethings from her relationship and her family, I also shared my story with her and not with you. Since the OP never said my story and case study are unnecessary, I will not dignify your with a response again.

Have a great day.

That is exactly the point if you want to tell your life story create YOUR own thread or write a book THis is the OP 's thread and it is not clear how telling us what your wife inherited blah blah blah is relevant

One of the many mistakes we women make is allowing our men know that we av money.

U did not do anything wrong and let it remain so even after paying ur fees.

When men sees money with us, they will be coming up with different project that they cannot do alone just to make sure that we spend what we av.

It is not a mistake if you tell your husband what you have or own, provided the man is hardworking, independent, focused and he is very sure of his own ability to make, manage and multiply wealth.
But if the man is lazy and parasitic, it will not a bad idea if you do not disclose your finances and investments to him.

I totally agree with you, I learnt some husbands require their wives to submit all their earnings to the husband.

Well a lot of rubbish and stupidity happens in the name of love, my sister sold the shares of Nigeria Brewery Plc which my father bought for her 35 years ago and the husband wanted to get 80% of the windfall.
