It's safe to say NL is primarily about GEJ vs PMB

Politically motivated junk.
If they lost money I can only say sorry.
PMB need time to plan and implement his plans.
I am not expecting him to continue on some of the templates left by PDP. Some of the federal Ministries must be scrapped and merged. Don't forget we voted for change and that is exactly what we are getting.

Rubbish Article,

The stock market is going down simply because of the devaluation of the naira. Foreign investors are now existing the market due to the depreciating naira and that is what is causing the downturn in the stock market.

Naira devaluation was caused by GEJ and started during GEJ's time. It's only going to get worse because they stole part of our foreign reserves we had and spent it on elections. Stop the cheap blackmail

Slow? My president like to COME LAST because Nigerians love it that way. Politics apart, I think the only thing that needs urgent attention here is our economy not an invitation by the US. Unless they will fix our economy for us, too.

u ppl should stop thinking like this ,it is annoying , noone is asking him to perform magic or miracles and u claimed he needs time to carry out his plans , the question the nations economic players are asking is what are his plans ? We are talking about 160million ppl here and not just 200 cows . For the past 50days ,this nation has been on auto pilot ,no policy direction, even cbn is confused .don't worry by the time dollar hits 300naira you will understand what we are talking about

On issues of economy, you dont leave a vacuum or attempt the market to correct itself on autopilot.

Especially in Nigeria where there are no strong systems and institutions. .... Buhari should have set the economic direction from the first day.

He can afford to delay on other less important ministries but his cabinet members on issues of economy and security should have been sworn in the week after his inauguration.

The impact of this two months delay will be felt in the economy for the next 3 years cos the investors are not keeping their funds waiting for Nigeria to find direction.... they have long invested in more secure grounds.

->Stock Market(Investments) is very pivotal to a nation's development.
->This is about Nigeria, not just Buhari; so stop defending someone who's action is putting the country at risk.
->We need all the investments we can get now, since the price of crude oil(our major source of income) has fallen drastically and there is no hope of it rising in the foreseeable future.

what of our economy..... I am not a Jonathan fan.... but with the way this government seems to be handling the state of the country..... I fear for Nigeria... Am sorry but you are clueless on the subject.

Devaluation of the naira is not a new event. Dollar once sold for 80, 100, 120, 150, 170 naira and has continued to devalue. Within that same period, the stock market has appreciated in value. As such your analogy is helplessly flawed.

Devaluation is not even a bad policy, silence and lack of direction by the new govt is the biggest issue.

If Buhari wants to devalue the naira, he should proceed and leave no room for speculation and capital flight.

If Buhari wants to take away subsidy, he should be quick with it or vocally say otherwise because a lot is hanging in the balance

What does he want to do with the power sector? More private participation or govt take over?

What of Oil and Gas downstream? Is he privatising the refineries or not? Is he bringing more private players?

Look, investors are impatient and wont stand an inch of speculation. Once a nation loses direction..... key investors pull their money.

But i think our dear investors are literates with bsc, hnd, phd. They should know that buhari needs time to think about who and who are capable of holding an office in his administration. Here are some assertions about what buhari may be thinking.
1. Since he wants to fight corruption, he probably wants to appoint someone with no tainted background.
2. He doesn't want to cause problem within his party while satisfying the leaders of the party.
3. He probably wants to avoid sentiments arising from ethnitism.
4. He is looking for the capable person. He definitely needs time to work out this puzzle in front of him.

see the way u left a well researched article and start attacking the innocent op. the stock players has put the blame squarely on buhari go slow, deal with that. how a man that we all know have no secondary school certificate is the president, finance minister, economic planning minister, trade minister etc at the same time and some people are still trying to support him beats my imagination. every society deserves the type of leaders they have and Nigeria really deserve baba go slow given the type of comments we see here. by the way, let buhari publicly declare his assets as promised before we can even take him serious.
