Christianity EtcMaulid Nabiyi (maulidi) By Baba Ali Mustapha by 247tops(op): 2:41pm On Dec 18, 2017
Maulid Nabiyi (Maulidi) is celebrated by Sunni (Ah al Sunna Wal Ja’ma) Muslims throughout the Muslim world to commemorate the birth of Prophet Mohammed every year. It is usually observed in Rabial Auwal, the third month of the Islamic Calender.
To observe this ceremony with my fellow Sunni (Ah al Sunna Wal Ja’ma) Muslims throughout the world this year I put up this research to know more about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s morals and what fair-minded impartial non Muslims thinkers tell us about the Messenger (SAW).
In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Ever Merciful.
All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Peace and blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, the seal of the Prophets, the best of the First and the latter generations, Our Master and Ideal.
He is the possessor of the Hawdh (Basin) from which the believers will drink in the day of Judgement, the banner under which the believers will gather, the station of praise and glory, the bright marks on his face, hands and feet (i.e. the traces of ablution). He is the One who was mentioned in Al-Tawraah (Torah) and Al-Injeel (Gospel), and supported by Jibreel (Gabriel).
His Lord distinguished him with the Al-Israa’ and Al-Miraj (Night journey to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa and Ascent to Heaven). He split the moon for him, made cure and blessing in his Saliva and sweat. With his invocation the rain was sent down. To him the tree submitted. Upon him, camels and stones sent their salutations. He was made victorious by awe, (Allah frightened his enemies at a distance of one month’s journey). He is the master of the sons of Adam, and he is not boasting.
The evidence of his Prophethood are numerous and his noble manners and attributes are countless.
The best of creation in his childhood, the most purified in his youth, the superior in his old age, the most righteous throughout his lifetime, the most just of judges, and the bravest in the battlefield. Allah the Almighty endowed him with every sublime moral and refined manner, purified him from every impurity, guarded him against every slip, taught him good manners and taught him well and endowed him with every noble trait. Thus, no one is like him in his perfection, nobility, truthfulness, honesty, asceticisin, bashfulness and chastity.
Such is the Messenger of Allah (SAW). All those who knew him well acknowledged his nobility, excellent nature, kind-heartedness, gentleness, wisdom, intelligent, firm determination and leniency.
What fair minded thinkers said about the bestman who ever lived (Muhammad (SAW)
No one can read about the Magnanimous manners and the noble character of the Messenger (SAW) without expressing their admiration of his character and their bedazzlement by it. Thus, it is no wander, that we see such fragrant praise fair testimonies from many of those who have not reverted to Islam and of which history recorded their quotations and in their books and heritage, to provide firm evidence and decisive proof of his sublime morals and characteristics (SAW).
Fair minded impartial non Muslim thinkers tell us about the Messenger (SAW) Muhammad (SAW) in the eyes of the Orientalist.
1. The American Orientalist, Washington Irving said, “Muhammad (SAW) was the last and greatest Prophet Allah has sent to call people to worship Him Alone” (Excerpted from Qaaloo ‘an Al-Islam (What they said about Islam) by Professor Imaad Addeen Khaleel).
2. The Spanish Orientalist, Jan Lake, in his book The Arabs said: “The life of Muhammad cannot be described using any words that are better than what Allah says; ‘And we have not sent you, (O Muhammad), except as a mercy to the world’) (Quran 21:107). Actually, Muhammad was a real mercy, and I ask for blessings upon passionately and ardently”.
3. The Italian Orientalist, Laura Veccia Vagelieri said: Muhammad, who always held on to the divine principles, was very tolerant especially with those who believe in One God. He knew how to have much patience with pagans, ever showing deliberation” ‘Apologia dell’ Islamismo (translated into English as: An interpretation of Islam by Laura Veccia Vaglieri).
4. The French Orientalist, Gustave Lee Bon, said: “Muhammad met all the harm and torture with much patience and endurance. Muhammad treated the people of Quraysh, who were his enemies for twenty years, with kindness and forbearance”. (La Civilization des Arabes, (The civilization of Arabs) by Gustave Le Bon).
Muhammad (SAW) in the eyes of the Philosophers:
1. The renowned British Philosopher and Playwright, Sir Bernard Shaw, said: “I have studied the life of the Messenger of Islam, very well, time after time, and I have found nothing but moral standards as they should be. I always wished that Islam would become the way of the world (Ar-Rasool, Sallallahu alayhi wasallam, fe uyoon Gharbiyyah Munsifah by Al Husaini Ma’di).
2. The English Philosopher, Thomas Carlyle, who was said to be the best British Mind after Shakespeare said: “This great, kind hearted merciful wise man had other thoughts in his mind than worldly ambitions, and other intentions than seeking authority and high status”. (Ar-Rasool , Sallallahu alayhi wasallam, fe uyoon Gharbiyyah Munsifah by Al Husaini Ma’di).
Muhammad (SAW) in the eyes of Historians.
1. The British Historian, Sir William Muir, said: Mahomet, Peace be upon Him, was characterized by his distinct and emphatic speech. His religion is uncomplicated. He did amazing actions. Actually, history has never witnessed a reformer like the Prophet of Islam who increased awareness and revived the proper meaning of noble manners and virtue in such short time.
He added: A remarkable feature was the urbanity and consideration with which Mohamet treated even the most insignificant of his followers. Modesty and kindness, patience, self denial, and generosity, pervaded his conduct and riveted the affections of all around him. He was not known ever to refuse an invitation to the house of even of the meanest, nor to decline a proffered present however small. When seated by a friend, he did not haughtily advance his knees toward him. He possessed the rare faculty of making each the individual in a company think he was the most fevered guest. When he met anyone rejoicing, he would seize him eagerly and cordially by his hand. With the bereaved and afflicted he sympathized tenderly. He share his food, even in times of scarcity, with others; and was sedulously solicitous for the personal comfort of everyone about him”. (The Life of Mahomet by William Muir and Ar-Rasool Sallahu alaihu wasallam by Sa’eed Hawa).
Muhammad (SAW) in the eyes of Poets and Linguists:
1. The famous French Poet, Alphonse de Lamartine said: “I have studied the life of Muhammad well and realized the greatness of it”. (Voyage en Orient (Travelling to the Orient).
2. The well known German Poet and Writer, Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe, said: “I have searched the history of humanity for a role model for man and found it in the Arab Prophet Muhammad” (Allahs Sonne Uber dem Abendland (Allah’s sun over the occident) by Sigrid Hunke).
3. The French Writer, Edward Montet, Professor of Oriented Languages at the University of Geneva said in his book Muhammad and the Quran: “Muhammad, Peace be upon him, had magnanimous manners, sublime morality, sweet speech and soundness of judgement, truthfulness of words and a firm belief in what he did and said”.
These are testimonies of some European Orientalist, Philosophers, historians and poets about the noble character of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the seal of the Prophet Muhammad. We aim to prove that the Western people acknowledge the Prophethood of Muhammad (SAW), his noble traits and his favor that will last until the day of judgement over mankind in all part of the world.
Although Christians European fanaticism is always partial and make no attempt to be objective, there are still fair-minded thinkers who affirmed the truth unequivocally. However, the dominant western cultural trends that are filled with fanaticism, stubbornness and self centeredness explored every possible avenue to hide and suppress these obvious facts, so that European lay person would not know these facts that his fellow countrymen had proved true about Islam, its Prophet and his universal everlasting message. All such things are done only to realize two aims:
First, to keep the Christians of Europe away from Islam whose effectiveness in attacking the human personality was evidently proved. In fact, the people in the West are afraid of Islam because of the steady decline in the number of those converting to Christianity in the world inspite of the enormous amounts of money and time they spend to make people Christians.
The well known evangelist, Lawrence Brown said, “ we have found that the real danger for us is Islam and its ability to expand and to submit people to its teachings and its remarkable vitality”. He added: “the real universal danger in this age is Muslims. So we have to unify our powers, mobilize armies and be aware of it.
…..the cause of Islam is totally different from the Jewish One. The religion of Muslims differs from that of the Jews. It calls all people to embrace it. It is spreading among the Christians themselves and among non-christians. As a matter of fact, Muslims engaged in a long struggle in Europe. Muslims, as the Evangelist view, have never been a trodden-upon minority….Therefore, we see evangelist supporting the Jews against Muslims in Palestine. We used to fear the Jews, the yellow danger (Japan when it defeated China), and the Bolsherik danger, however, none of those dangers have been realized as we expected. We have found that the Jews are our friends and thus, whoever oppresses them will be our sworn enemy. Furthermore, we have discovered that the Bolsheriks are our allies. As for the yellow people, there are big democratic states resisting them. Indeed, the real danger lie in the system of Islam” (At Tabsheer wal-isti-maar (Evangelization and occupation) by Dr. Mustafa Al-Khaalidy and Dr. Amr Farrookh, excerpted from Al-Bayaan Magazine, Issue no. 174 p.92 and Ar-Rasol fi uyoon Gharbiyya Munsifah (The Messenger (PBUH) in fair minded Western eyes).
Second, guaranteeing the continuation of the conflict between the West and Islam, and their disagreement for the interest of Zionism and free masonry that believe they are the first party to be harmed by any agreement or serious dialogue between Islam and the West.
Finally, just last two weeks, Mr. Donald Trump, the President of U.S.A. breaking all the international laws and United Nation Resolutions, recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. It is the biggest mistake, the government of U.S.A. ever did. The only option for the Muslim countries is not violent, but for the organization of Islamic Countries (O.I.C) with strong members about 63 countries and headquarters at Jidda Saudi Arabia to call emergency meeting of its foreign affairs ministers and inform them to recall their ambassadors from Washington (U.S.A.) and sent packing the ambassadors of U.S.A and Israel from their soil. In addition all the member countries of organization of Islamic Countries (O.I.C) should refuse to recognize New York as headquarters of United Nation. UN either moved its headquarters to either London or Berlin (Germany) the neutral ground or they quit the organization (UN) and set up a parallel organization for the Muslims. That is the only solution.

Christianity EtcMuhammed (phuh) The Greatest By Baba Ali Mustapha by 247tops(op): 10:53am On Nov 10, 2017
MUHAMMED (PHUH) THE GREATEST
BY
BABA ALI MUSTAPHA
To every Muslim on this planet earth irrespective of cultural, geographical and political differences, Muhammed (PBUH) is Allah's greatest creation and was sent as a mercy for all mankind. A thousand million Muslims however, do not require any surveys, list or research to arrive at this conclusion. It is a non-negotiable article of faith that Muhammed (PBUH) is the greatest.
BUT WHAT OF THE NON-MUSLIMS
Surprisingly, over the centuries many an eminent non-Muslims had rated Muhammed (PBUH) most highly and given due recognition to his greatness.
- Among such non-Muslim intellectuals is Michael H. Hart a Christian American, astronomer, Mathematician, lawyer, chess master and Scientists after extensive research published an incisive biography of the 100 most influential people from Adam to our time. The biographical rankings with explanation describes the careers of religious and political leaders, inventors, writers, philosophers, scientists and artists.
- From this research, which included personalities such as Jesus Christ, Moses, Caesar, the Wright brothers, Napoleon, Shakespeare, Columbus and Michelangelo; Michael Hart rated Muhammed (PBUH) as number one. He concluded the biography with the words 'it is this unparalleled combination of secular and religious influence which i feel entitles Muhammed to be considered the most influential single figure in human history.
May Allah exalt Muhammed (PBUH), his family, his companions and all the believers. Insha-Allah!
I here by privileged to present to you the entire chapter on Muhammed (PBUH) from Michael Hart's book "THE 100 ,A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY'.
1 MUHAMMAD 570-632
My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both religious and secular levels.
Of humble origins, Muhammad founded and promulgated one of the world's greatest religions and became an immensely effective political leader. Today thirteen centuries after his death, his influence is still powerful and pervasive.
The majority of the persons in this book had the advantage of being born and raised in centers of civilization, highly cultured or politically pivotal nations. Muhammad, however, was born in the year 570, in the city of Mecca, in Southern Arabia, at that time a backward area of the world, far from the center of trade, art and learning. Orphaned at age six, he was reared in modest surroundings. Islamic tradition tells us that he was illiterate. His economic position improved when at age twenty-five, he married a wealthy widow. Nevertheless, as he approached forty, there was little outward indication that he was a remarkable person.
Most Arabs at that time were pagans who believed in many gods. There were, however, in Mecca, a small number of Jews and Christians; it was from them no doubt that Muhammad first learned of a single, omnipotent God who ruled the entire universe. When he was forty years old, Muhammad became convinced that this one true God (Allah) was speaking to him, and had chosen him to spread the true faith.
For three years, Muhammad preached only to close friends and associates. Then, about 613 he began preaching in public. As he slowly gained converts, the Meccan authorities came to consider him a dangerous nuisance. In 622, fearing for his safety, Muhammad fled to Medina ( a city some 200 miles north of Mecca) where he had been offered a position of considerable political power.
This flight, called the Hegira, was the turning point of the Prophet's life. In Mecca, he had had few followers. In Medina, he had many more, and soon he acquired an influence that made him virtual dictator. During the next few years, while Muhammad's following grew rapidly, series of battles were fought between Medina and Mecca. This was ended in 640 with Muhammad's triumphant return to Mecca as conqueror. The remaining two and one-half years of his life witnessed the rapid conversion of the Arab tribes to the new religion. When Muhammad died in 632, he was the effective ruler of all southern Arabia.
The Bedul tribesmen of Arabia had a reputation as fierce warriors. But their number was small, and plagued by disunity and internecine warfare, they had been no match for the larger armies of the kingdoms in the settled agricultural areas to the north. However, unified by Muhammad for the first time in history, and inspired by their fervent belief in the One true God, these small Arab armies now embarked upon one of the most astonishing series of conquests in human history. To the northeast of Arabia lay the large Neo-Persian Empire of the Sassanid’s, to the northwest lay the Byzantine, or Eastern Roman Empire, centered in Constantinople. Numerically, the Arabs were no match for their opponents. On the field of battle, through, the inspired Arabs rapidly conquered all of Mesopotamia, Syria and Palestine. By 642, Egypt had been wrested from the Byzantine Empire, while the Persian armies had been crushed at the key battle of Qadisiya in 637, and Nehavend in 642.
But even these enormous conquests which were made under the leadership of Muhammad close friends and immediate successor, Abu Bakr and Umar Ibn al-khattab did not mark the end of the Arab advance. But, 711, the Arab armies had swept completely across North Africa to the Atlantic Ocean. There they turned north and crossing the street of Gibraltar, overwhelmed the Visigoth Kingdom in Spain.
For a while, it must have seemed that the Moslems would overwhelm all of Christian Europe. However, in 732, at the famous battle of Tours, a Moslem army, which had advanced into the center of France, was at last defeated by the Franks. Nevertheless, in a scant century of fighting, these Bedul tribesmen, inspired by the word of the Prophet carried out an Empire stretching from the borders of India to the Atlantic Ocean-the largest empire that the world had yet seen. And everywhere that the armies conquered, large scale conversion to the new faith eventually followed.
Now, not all of these conquests proved permanent. The Persians, though they have remained faithful to the religion of the Prophet, have since regained their independence from the Arabs. And in Spain, more than seven centuries of warfare finally resulted in the Christians reconquering of the entire peninsula. However, Mesopotamia and Egypt, the two cradle of ancient civilization has remained Arab as has the entire coast of North Africa. The new religion of course continued to spread, in the intervening centuries, far beyond the borders of the original Moslem conquests. Currently, it has tens of millions of adherents in Africa and central Asia and even more in Pakistan and northern India and in Indonesia. In Indonesia, the new faith has been a unifying factor. In the Indian subcontinent, however, the conflict between Moslems and Hindus is still a major obstacle to unity.
How, then, is one to assess the overall impact of Muhammad on humanity? Like all religions, Islam exerts an enormous influence upon the lives of its followers. It is far thus reason that the founders of the world's great religions all figure prominently in this book. Since there are roughly twice as many Christians as Muslims in the world, it may initially seem strange that Muhammad has been ranked higher than Jesus. There are two principal reasons for that decision. First, Muhammad played a far more important role in the development of Islam than Jesus did in the development of Christianity. Although, Jesus was responsible for the main ethical and moral percept of Christianity (Insofar as these differed from Judaism). St Paul was the main developer of Christian theology, its principal proselytizer, and the author of a large portion of the New Testament.
Muhammad, however, was responsible for both the theology of Islam and its main ethical and moral principle. In addition, he played the key role in proselytizing the new faith, and in establishing the religious practices of Islam. Moreover, he is the author of the Moslem Holy Scriptures, the Koran, a collection of certain Muhammad's insights that he believed had been directly revealed to him by Allah. Most of these utterances were copied more or less faithfully during Muhammad's lifetime and were collected together in authoritative form not long after his death. The Koran, therefore, closely represents Muhammad's ideas and teaching and to a considerable extent his exact words. No such detailed compilation of the teaching of Christ has survived. Since the Koran is at least as important to Muslims as the bible is to Christians, the influence of Muhammad through the medium of the Koran has been enormous. It is probable that the relative influence of Muhammad on Islam has been larger than the combined influence of Jesus Christ and St. Paul on Christianity. On the purely religious level, then, it seem likely that Muhammad has been influential in human history as Jesus.
Furthermore, Muhammad (unlike Jesus) was as secular as well as a religious leader. In fact, as the driving force behind the Arab conquests, he may well rank as the most influential political leader of all time.
Of many important historical events, one might say that they were inevitable and would have occurred even without the particular political leader who guided them. For example, the South American colonies would probably have won their independence from Spain even if Simon Boliver has never lived. But this cannot be said of Arab conquests. Nothing similar had occurred before Muhammad, and there is no reason to believe that the conquests would have been achieved without him. The only comparable conquest in human history are those of the Mongols on the thirteen centuries, which were primarily due to the influence of Genghis Khan. These conquests, however, though more extensive than those of the Arabs, did not prove permanent, and today the only area occupied by the Mongols are those that they held prior to the time of Genghis Khan.
It is far different with the conquests of the Arabs from Iraq to Morocco, there extends a whole chain of Arab nations unified not merely by their faith in Islam, but also by their Arabic language, history and culture. The centrality of the Koran in the Moslem religion and the fact that it is written in Arabic have probably prevented the Arab language from breaking up into mutually unintelligible dialects, which might otherwise have occurred in the intervening thirteen centuries. Differences and divisions between these Arabs states exist, of course, and they are considerable, but the partial disunity should not blind us to the important elements of unity that have continued to exist. For instance, neither Iran nor Indonesia both Oil-producing states and both Islamic in religion, joined in the oil embargo of the winter of 1973-74. It is no coincidence that all of the Arab state, and only the Arab state, participated in the embargo.
We see, then, that the Arab conquest of the seventh century have continued to play an important role in human history, down to the present day. It is this unparalled combination of secular and religious influence which i feel entitle Muhammad to be considered the most influential single figure in human history.
This is the end of the chapter on Muhammad from the book "THE 100 A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY' by Michael H. Hart in which he ranked Muhammed as the most influential person in the history.
OTHER NON-MUSLIMS INTELLECTUAL VERDICT ON MUHAMMAD (PBUH)
'If a man like Mohammed were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problem that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness'.
George Barnard Shaw

' People like Pasteur and Salk are leaders in the first sense, people like Ghadhi and Confucius, on one hand, and Alexander, Caesar and Hitler on the other are leaders in the second and perhaps the third sense. Jesus and Budha belong in the third category alone. Perhaps the greatest leader of all time was Mohammed, who combined all three functions. To a lesser degree, Moses did same.'
Professor Jules Masserman.

'Head of state as well as the church, he was Caesar and Pope in One, but he was pope without the Pope's pretensions, and Caesar without the legions of Caesar, without a standing army, without a body guard, without a police force, without a fixed revenue, if ever a man had the right to say that he ruled by a divine right, it was Muhammad, for he had all the powers without their supports. He cared not for the dressings of power. The simplicity of his private life was in keeping with his public life'.
Rev. R. Bosworth-Smith

As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he is?
Lamartine, historie de la turque, Paris 1854, Vol II 00 276-277.

' It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great Prophet of Arabia, who knows how he fought and how he lived, to feel anything but reverence for that might Prophet, one of the great messengers of the Supreme. And although in what i put to you i shall say many things which may be familiar for many, yet i myself feel whenever i re-read them, a new way of admiration, a new way of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher'.

Christianity EtcJesus And Muhammad (peace Be Upon Them) In Bible And Qur'an. By Baba Ali Mustaph by 247tops(op): 10:49am On Nov 01, 2017
PROPHET JESUS IN THE HOLY QUR'AN
The Holy Qur'an narrates in some detail the importance of the advent of Jesus, his immaculate birth, his miracles, his mission and ultimately his ascendance. These divine revelation on Jesus (PBUH) are indeed a living witness and a proof against Christianity.
Almighty Allah says:
“when the angels said: O Mary, Verily Allah gives you the glad tiding of a word from Him: His name will be Messiah Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the hereafter, and of those who are near Allah”. (Q3.45).
“Verily likeness of Jesus before Allah is as likeness of Adam. He created him fom dust then He said to him, Be and he was. (This is) the truth from your Lord, so be not of those who doubt (Q3:59-60). 'And of their (Jews) rejecting faith and uttering against Mary a grave false charge.
“And their boasting, we killed Messiah Jesus, the son of Mary, the Apostle of Allah, but they killed him not nor crucified him, but the resemblance of Jesus was put over another man (and they killed that man). And those who differ therein are full of doubts with no (certainty) of knowledge but only conjecture to follow. For a surety they killed not (i.e Jesus, son of Mary (Q4:157).
“But Allah raised him (Jesus) up onto Himself. And Allah is all-powerful, all-wise (Q4:158).
“And there is none of people of the scriptures, (Jews and Christians) but must believe in him (he, Jesus son of Mary as only an Apostle of Allah before his (Jews and Christians) death (at the time of the appearance of the Angel of death); and on the day of Resurrection he (Jesus) will be a witness against them (Jews and Christian)' (Q4:159).
“O People of the scripture! do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah ought but the truth: The Messiah Jesus son of Mary was (no more than ) an Apostle of Allah and His word which bestowed on Mary and a spirit created by Him, so believe in Allah and His Apostles. Say not: Three (Trinity)! cease; (it is) better for you, for Allah is (the only) one God. Glory be to Him (far exalted is He) above having a son. To him belongs whatever is in the heaven and on earth and sufficient is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.
“The Messiah will never be proud as not to be a slave to Allah (i.e he is Allah's slave not a God) nor even the angels who are near (to Allah) (i.e angels too are Allah's slaves). And whoever refuses His worship and is proud, He will gather them all together onto Himself (Q4:171-172).
“Surely in disbelief are they who say that Allah is the Messiah son of Mary, say (O Muhammad) who then has the least power against Allah of He willed to destroy, the Messiah son of Mary, his mother and all that is on the earth together? And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heaven and the earth and all that is between them. He creates what He will and Allah is able to do all things.
“And (both) the Jews and the Christians say; We are the children of Allah and His loved Ones. Say (O Muhammad); why then does He punish you for your sin? Nay, you are but a human being of that what he had created, He forgives whom He will and He punishes Whom He will. And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them and to Him is the return (of all) (Q5:17-19).
“Surely they are disbelievers those who said; 'Allah is Messiah (Jesus) son of Mary. But Messiah (Jesus) said 'O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and Your Lord.
“Whoever set up rivals in worship with Allah, then verily Allah has forbidden paradise for him and fire will be his abode. For wrongdoers there are no helper (Q5:72).
“The Messiah (Jesus) son of Mary was no more than an Apostle. Many were the Apostles that passed away before him. His mother was a Saddiqah (i.e she believed in the words of Allah and His Books see (Q66:12).
“They both used to eat food (as other human beings but Allah does not). Look how we make the signs clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away from the truth" (Q5:75).
“ (Remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection); O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember my favor to you and to your mother when i strengthened you with Holy Spirit (Gabriel) so that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity and when i taught you the book and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel, , and when you made out of clay as it were, the figure of a bird by my permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by my permission, and when you healed those born blind, and the leapers by my permission and when you brought forth the dead by my permission. And when i restrained the children of Israel from you (when they resolved to kill you) when you came unto them with clear signs, the disbelievers among them said: This is nothing but evident magic.
“And when I (Allah) put in the hearts of the Disciples to believe in Me and Mine Apostle, they said 'We believe and you bear witness that we surrender to Allah' (Remember) when the Disciples said: O Jesus son of Mary, can your Lord send down to a table spread with food from Heaven? Jesus said; Fear Allah if you are indeed believers.
“They said: We wish to eat there of and to be stronger in faith and to know that you have indeed told us the truth and that we ourselves may be witnesses.
“Jesus, son of Mary said: O Allah our Lord! send us from Heaven a table spread with food that there may be for us, for the first and the last of us, a festival and a sign from you, and provide us sustenance, for you are the Best of sustainers.
“Allah said: I am going to send it down unto you, but if any of you after those disbelievers i will punish him with a torment such as i have not inflicted on anyone among all the people.
“And (remember) when Allah will (on the Day of Resurrection) say: O Jesus, son of Mary! did you unto men: worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah? he will say: Glory be to you, it was not mine to say what i had no right (to say). Had i said such a thing you would surely have known it. you known what is in my mind though i know not what is in yours. Truly, you only you are the All. Knower of all that is hidden. (Q5: 110-116).
“And (remember) when Jesus, son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! I am the Apostle of Allah (sent) to you confirming the Torah (which come) before me and giving glad tidings of an Apostle to come after me whose name shall be Ahmed (i.e the second name Prophet Muhammad and literally means One who praises Allah more than others). But when he (Muhammad PBUH) come to them with clear signs. They said: This is plain magic' (Q61:6).

BIBLICAL PROPHECY ON THE ADVERT OF MUHAMMAD (PBUH)
John 14:15-16
“if you love me, keep my commandments. And i will pray to the father and He shall give another comforter that he may abide with you forever'.
Muslim Theologians have said that 'another comforter; is Muhammad, the Apostle of Allah; and him 'to abide forever' means the perpetuality of his laws and way of life (Sharia) and the Book (Qur'an) which was revealed to him.
John 15:26-27.
“But when the comforter is come, whom i will send unto you from the father, even the spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the father, he shall testify of me, and he also shall bear witness because ye have been with me from beginning'.
John 16:5-8
“But now i go my way to him that sent me and none of you asketh me whither goest thou? But because i have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless i tell you the truth; for if i go not away, the comforter will not come unto you, but if i depart, i will send him unto you. And when he come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of judegement'.
John 16:12-14.
“i have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and he shall show it unto you". John 16:16
“A little while and you shall not see me; and again a little while, you shall see me, because i go to the father'.
Muslim theologians have stated that the person who is described by Jesus to come after him in the above verses-does not comply with any other person but Muhammad (PBUH) the Apostle of Allah. This 'person' whom Jesus prophesied will come after him, is called in the bible 'parqaleefa'. This world was deleted by later interpreters and translators and changed at times to 'spirit of truth', and at other times, to 'comforter' and sometimes to Holy spirit. The original word is Greek and its meaning is one whom people praise exceedingly. The sense of the word is applicable to the word 'Muhammad' (in Arabic)

DECENT OF JESUS (SON OF MARY)
I wish to remind the reader here that Jesus, son of Mary will be returning to this world before the day of Resurrection. He will return to become a leader of the Muslim nation as has been revealed in the Holy Qur’an.
“And he (Jesus, son of Mary shall be a knowing sign for the coming of the hour (day of Resurrection) (i.e Jesus descent on earth). Therefore, have no doubt about it. And fellow me (Allah) (i.e be obedient to Allah and do what He orders you to do, O Mankind)!. This is the straight path. (Q43:61).
“And let not satan hinder you (from the Right Religion). Verily he (satan) is to you a plain enemy (Q43:62).
“And when Jesus come with clear signs he said: I have come to you with wisdom and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me (Q43:63).
“Verily, Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (alone). This is the (only) straight path.
The last of all the Prophets, Muhammad (PBUH) said (as narrated by Abu Huraira): Allah's Apostle said: 'By Him in whose hand my soul is (Jesus) son of Mary will shortly descent amongst you (Muslims) as a just ruler (not as an Apostle) and will break the cross and kill the pig and abolish the Jizya (a tax levied from the Jews and Christians who are under the protection of a Muslim government). Then there will be abundance of money and nobody will accept charitable gifts". (Salih-al Buhari, Vol III, Hadith NO. 435) and VOL.4, Hadith NO. 657).
I conclude with gratitude, praise and glory of Almighty Allah, the Lord of the words. The salutation and blessing be to the Master of all Apostles, Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

IslamIntroduction To The Glorious Qur’an By Baba Ali Mustapha by 247tops(op):
The compilation of the Qur’an:
The Holy Qur’an is to the Book of Allah the very word of God revealed to Prophet Muhammad through archangel Gabriel (Jibrail) like the earlier holy books sent for example to David (Da’ud) Moses (Musa) and Jesus (Isa). It is sent for the admonition of mankind as the Qur’an itself testifies, “And assuredly we have made the Qur’an easy for admonition; is there then anyone who would be admonished”? (Q54:17). The Qur’an is replete with historical discourse and allusions without being a book of history. The Qur’an is easy for admonition, but one easy in the absolute sense, not easy in sense that it contains no profundities of thought or subtleties of meaning, but it is only easy in so far as lessons of meekness, humility and willing surrenders to God can be deduced from it.
The first revelation of the Qur’an began on the 15th night of the month of Ramadan in the 41st year after the birth of the Prophet. The first Surah was revealed in the Cave Hira when the verse “Recite in the name of the Lord who created…….” Was revealed. The last verse of the Qur’an, “This day we have perfected for your religion…..” was revealed on the 9th Dhul Hajja in the 10th year of Hijirah (63rd year of the Prophet’s life). Taking this into consideration we come to know that the period in which the Qur’an was revealed in its entirely was twenty-two years, two months and twenty two days.
It is widely accepted as true that at the death of Muhammad, there was not in existence any written collection of revelations of Qur’an in final form. For one thing, so long as the Prophet was alive, new revelations were continually being added oi the earlier ones. In other words, the body of Divine revelation continued to grow throughout the life time of the prophet. This fact does not however, nullify the other well authenticated one, that even at that time, much of the later Qur’an must have already been written down.
As soon as the need was realised for securing Allah’s revelations through His Prophet Muhammad, it became necessary not to rely solely on memory work, as a good deal of the “words” could get lost-human memory being what it is. The people soon felt obliged to secure the revelations from Allah by writing them down, and it is easy to understand that to begin with, materials readiest to hand, like shoulder-blades, palm leaves, stones, etc were used for writing purpose.
Among the earliest recorders of these revelations were Zaid bin Thabit, Mu’awiyah bin Abu Sufiyan, Khlaid bin al-walid and Zubair bin al-Awam all of whom were the companions of the Prophet.
Besides, in an Internationally important commercial duty such as Mecca was, one would expect to find and there certainly were people who wrote down revelations from Allah. The question therefore, as to whether the Prophet himself could read or write is of minor importance. Infact, the Prophet was Ummi (unlettered) and the Qur’an, therefore, was the greatest miracle revealed to him from Allah.
The significance role played ,by the act of writing in the compilation of the Qur’an is more clearly revealed after the death of the Prophet. With his death, the source of revelation ceased to flow, and the believers, in cases of doubt, had no one whom they might cnsult as no one had inherited Muhammad’s prophetic gift. This discourse left by him thus acquired increased importance, for in them spoke the Prophet, or rather God through him to his community, if they were able to interpret the words correctly. The task therefore naturally present itself of collecting this valuable legacy in as complete and accurate a form as possible and preserving it from destruction. This obvious development is also confirmed by the traditions. At this juncture, we might stop to trace the course of event that eventually resulted to the first compilation of the Qur’an.
The most popular view holds that it all started with the realisation of the unfortunate fact that many of the people who knew the Qur’an by heart (Huffaz) had perished in the battle with the false prophet Musailima. This aroused in Umar the fear that some knowledge of revelations might be lost. Umar then induced the Caliph, Abu Bakr, to begin the collection of the scattered discourse. The work was entrusted to the companion and the secretary of Muhammad, Zaid bin Thabit. The latter collected everything that was written on different, often primitive, materials and compared it with what people had retained in their memories, and wrote them on separate leavves which he gave to Abu Bakr.
On the death of Abu Bakr the book passed the hands of his successor, who in turned bequeathed it to his daughter, Hafsa, the widow of the Prophet. It was this copy (Zaid bin Thabits Version) that later formed the basis of the work of compilation done by the third Caliph, Uthman bin Affan.
In compiling his own version of Qur’an, Uthman drew upon material from Zaid’s compilation which was deposited with Abu Bakr and which had passed to Umar after Abu Bakr death. When Umar succeeded, Abu Bakr, it was passed on to him. After Umar’s murder, Hafsa, his daughter had carefully preserved this copy of the Qur’an.
However, there is another theory that it was Umar himself who ordered and supervised the collection, indeed, we are even told (Ibn Sa’d 111/1, 2124) that Umar died before the task was completed. Let us now see briefly how the authorizied “Uthmani edition come into existence.
With the reign of Uthman, the third Caliph we enter upon more solid ground. Already, there were in existence four editions of the Qur’an. These were compiled by four men (1) Ubaiy bin Ka’b (2) Abdullah bin Mas’ud (3) Abu Musa Abdullah al-Ashari, and (4) Miqdad bin ANur (these edition gradually disappeared after the authorization of the final edition in Uthman’s period).
According to a statement of Ibn al-Arthir, the aforementioned four editions found acceptance, each in a particular region: (1) Ubaiy’s in Damaseus (2) Miqdad’s in Hums (3) Ibn Maud’s in Kufa and (4) al-Ash’ari in Basra. This statement is further substaintiated by the fact that the two last named compilers held offices in the provinces mentioned. That the existence of several divergent versions in the matter of arrangement would produce uncertainty among the believers is easily understood, it is only too obvious and inevitable. To avoid unfortunate situation, something had to be done, and that urgently too.

Tradition holds that Hudhaifa thought that the quarrels among his followers about the correct form of arrangements of Revelation in the sacred book, while on a campaign in Armenia and Azerbaijan, were capable of causing division among his followers. He therefore asked the Caliph Uthman to try to abolish this unfortunate state of affairs, so that believers might not quarell like the Jews and Christians over the scriptures. Uthman recognised the justice of the request and asked Hafsat to let him have the “Suhuf” (the copy of the Qur’an in her possesion) so that copies might be made of them. Hafsa agreed and the Caliph entrusted the task to a commssion consisting of Zaid bin Thabit, Abdullah bin Zubair, Said bin al-As and Abdu-Raman bin al-Harith.
It is not easy to see clearly what their work really was. If they had only to make copies of standard text, reliable scribe would have sufficed so that the men name would at most have some sort of supervision over the work. But they had an important assignment of arranging after somee deliberations the chapters of the Qur’an as they exist today. It is however proved beyond doubt that the version of Uthman was based on Zaid’s version.
The tradition further reveals that of the copies made, one was kept in Mecca, while three were sent as standard text to Kufa, Basra and Damascus, that is practically to the regions in which the four differing versions aforementioned were current. The authorised edition was readily accepted everywhere.
The new version must have graduallly driven out the variants because of its official authority and the general desire of uniformity.
It was in this way that there come into existence the authorised version of the Qur’an to the present day, and inspite of all the vicissitudes has formed with the sunnah the solid foundation for Muslims life and thought. It is true to say that there has not been any change even of a word in the Holy Qur’an from the time of the Prophet till to day.

DIVISION OF THE QUR’AN
The whole text of the Qur’an is divided into thirty equal parts. Each part, which is called Juz in Arabic is divided into two hizbs and each hizb is divied into four quarters, each quarter is called rabu’ in Arabic.
The Mecca and Medina suras:
The whole of Qur’an is arranged in 114 Sura (Chapters) of very unequal size. Each is shown as revealed either at Mecca or at Medina.
The distinction between Meccan and Medinite suras is one of time and place of revelation. The Meccan suras were revealed before Hijra (migration) at Mecca or its vicinity, or on the Prophet’s way to Medina before reaching it. The Medinite sura were revealed after Hijra at Medina or its vicinity or on some occasions such as the year of the conquest, the year of the farewell pilgrimage, or during one of the Prophet’s travels.
The Meccan suras usually consist of brief sentence, full of enthusiasm, poetical, lofty and brilliant, denouncing idol worship, promising paradise, and threatening with the punishment of Hell; describing the unity and majesty of Allah, the day of judgement, with allusions to some earlier prophets and the events of their time, rich eloquence, full of illustrative reference to mature, with most of them beginning with one or a number of oaths.
The Medinite chapter narrate the same subject but generally in greater details, the verses being more prosaic and chapter much longer, they are chiefy noted for outlining.
1. Civil and criminal laws.
2. Directions or rituals such as prayer, fasting, etc
3. Social reform
4. Moral regulation
5. Brief description of some of the important battle fought with Quraishites and the jews,
6. Criticism and condemnation of hypocrites who professed Islam but worked against it.
7. Exhortation to defend the cause of Islam, and
8. A brief description of the past Prophets and events illustrating the fundamental principles of Islam

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE QUR’AN
The word Qur’an is derived from the root qira’an which means reading or reciting and the holy book is called the Qur’an, showing that it meant for reading or reciting. Every portion of it was both written and recited and hence it is the Kitab as well as the Qur’an.
The Qur’an is considered the eternal miracle of Islam as superior to what was revaled to the former messengers, as the best guide for seeking Allah’s pleasure and for obtaining salvation, and as the perfection of all moral codes.
The teaching of the Qur’an are universal, addressed to all people throghout to the world regardless of their origins, and revealed to mankind to enlighten man’s spirit, purify gis morals, unify his society and replaced the domination of the powerful with justice and fratenity. As confirmed in Sura XVI, 89, all human problems can be solved through the Qur’an, either directly or indirectly: “And we reveal the scripture to you as an exposition of all things”.
The content of the Qur’an deal primary with the supreme truth and with virtue. All the rest of the text concerning such matters as knowledge of the soul, the sciences of the nature of the heavens and the earth, history prophecy, warnings, and the likeserve only as means to strengthen the message of the Qur’an, to give it more weight and conviction.
The Qur’an, the principal basis of Islam, shows us that Islam cannot find its way into any heart or mind without acceptance of its two fundamental branches viz, beliefs and code of laws. Islam requires first of all, a deep belief in it without any doubt or suspicion as is made clear in the Qur’an: “say (O Muslims): we believe in Allah and that which is revealed to us and that which was revealed to Ibrahim, and that which Musa and Isa received, and that which the Prophets receieved from their Lord, we make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have surrendered” (Q2:136).
The code of laws provides the regulations with establish the proper relation between man and Allah, such as formal worship, fasting and other religious duties. The laws guide man in his relations with his brothers in Islam and non Muslims, in organising the structure of the family and encouraging reciprocal affection, they lead man to an understanding of his role in the universe, encouraging research into the nature of man and animals and guiding man in the use of the benefits of the natural world.
The Qur’an makes clear that the result of submission is faith, and the effect of the code of law is good behaviour:”Lo! Those who believe and do good works, there are the Gardens and Paradise for welcome, wherein they will abide, with no desire to be removed from thence”. (Sura XVIII, 107-108). “Lo! Those who say: Our Lord is Allah and thereafter walk aright, there shall no fear come upon them, neither shall they grieve (Sura XLVI. 13).
The Qur’an calls upon all people to cooperate for the benefit of all humanity regardless of race, sex, colour, rank and other difference. All people are equal before Allah, “O Mankind Lo! We have created you male and female and have made you nations and tribes that you may know each other. Lo! The noblest among you in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct”. (XLIX, 13).
The Qur’an relates the stories of the people before us and the Prophets who had been sent to them. It shows the consequences of their good response or their disobedience to them, giving as examples, the people of Nuh, Hud, Salih, Ibrahim, etc.
In short, humanity needed the Qur’an and the Qur’an met its need. It has dealth with the faith, the devotional practices, the relations betweeen man and God and between man and others. It has dealth with the principles and the ideals that must be followed by man and it encouraged him to research into the heavens and earth. No wonder the Qur’an has been so important without it humanity would still be living in darkness and ignorance.

Introduction to the history of Nigeria
The Federal Republic of Nigeria, is a country in West Africa, occupy the basins of Niger and Benue Rivers and extensive adjacent territories. Population (1963) 55,678,055, Area 356,699 sq metres by miles. Nigeria consisted of four regions known officially as:
Northern Nigeria; Eastern Nigeria; Western Nigeria; and Mid-West Nigeria (which is now known as six geopolitical zones as South East, South West, South South, North Central, North East, North West)

And the Federal territory of Lagos until the reorganization in 1967, which divided the country into 12 states. Today, the country comprises of 36 states which come on stream in 1996 with the federal capital territory moved from Lagos to Abuja in 1991. The population is presently estimated at 170 million.

The Republic is a member of the commonwealth of Nations. It extends northwards from the elbow of the Gulf of Guinea between latitude 4o and 14oN and is bounded west by the Republic of Dahamey (Republic of Benin), north by the Republic of the Niger, and by the Republics of Chad and Cameroun.
Very little is known of the history of Nigeria until the country was first visited by the Portuguese navigators in the second half of the 15th century. Before this time, there was little contact between inhabitants of the country and the northern region of the country. Until the Europeans visited the coast of Nigeria, the only contacts of Nigeria with the outside world were with the Eastern Sudan and across the Sahara, with the Muslim states of North Africa.

THE TRIBES OF NIGERIA
1. Bornu and the Hausa Lands
The principal people in the north were the Kanuri who occupied Bornu, the Hausa-speaking tribe, and the Fulani. The entire Kanem, of which Bornu was a province, by the end of the 11th century A.D extended both east and west of Lake Chad and included the greater part of the Hausa lands. Toward the end of the 14th century the power of Kanem waned and the empire shrank until little was left of it except Bornu. Meanwhile, to the west of Bornu, the fortunes of the Hausa state rose and fell. These states, the most important of which Kano, Daura, Gobir, and Katsina has existed from an early date, each independent of the others, and often fighting for supremacy, but joining from time to time in a loose confederancy for mutual defence. Conquered in turn by Kanem and by Mohammed Askia the Great King of Songhai (Gao) early in the 16th century they retained their identities under native rulers who acknowledged their suzerainty of the conquerors. When the influence of Songhai declined and the Hausa states recovered their independence they engaged again in internecine wars and were overrun at different time by the armies of Borno or of Kebbi, a state to the west of the Hausa lands, which was of importance in the 16th century.

Meanwhile for several centuries there had been a steady movement into the Hausa lands of Pastoral tribe, the Fulani, of whose origin little is known, while most of the Fulani remained with their herds, moving from place to place in search of water and pastorage, a number drifted to the towns and mingled with the Hausa population. These ‘town Fulani” were quickly established in positions of influence.

Such a position had been taken by Usman (Othman) dan Fodio, a fanatical Fulani Sheikh of great reputed sancity who had made the pilgrim to Mecca. When, about 1802, Usman intervened on behalf of a number of Muslims who had been enslaved, the pagan king of Gobir ordered his arrest and Usman roused his followers to revolt. Recognized as Sakin Musulmi (Commander of the faithful) Usman was supported by the Fulani and some Muslim Hausa and easily defeated the forces of the king of Gobir, later conquering all the Hausa lands in a triumphant Jihad which was directed at Lax or lukewarm Muslims and pegans. Bornu a Muslim state was overrun in 1808 but quickly recovered its independence. Fulani emirs were appointed as rulers of the various states and the Fulani empire was established from Gondo (Gandu) in the west to Adamawa in the east. Usman was succeeded by his son Bello, who as a sultan of Sokoto, was recognized as Sarkin Musulmi of Suzerain of all the Fulani emirates.

The courts and the system of government and taxation which were based on Koranic law of Hausa state were adapted with little change by the new Fulani rulers, and for a time a high standard of justice and administration was maintained. However gradually the courts became corrupt and the administration extortionate and tyrannical (amirs raiding neighbouring pegan tribe and sometimes even their own subjects to get slaves). This state of affairs continued until the British occupation of the country.

When the Bornu armies were defeated by the fulani in 1808 and the Mai (king) was forced to flee before the invaders, the country was saved by a military skill of Lamino (Mohammed al-Amin al-Kanemi) a Muslim Sheikh born in Fezzan of Arab and Kanem descent. With a small force of fanatical followers he defeated the Fulani in a number of battles and drove them from Bornu. He restored the Mai to his throne and allowed him to continue as a titular ruler but retained all powers to himself, governing the country wisely and well, with the title of Shehu (Sheikh), until his death in 1835. The puppet Mai then attempted to recover his lost power but was defeated and killed by Omar, Laminu’s son who continued to rule Bornu with a title of Shehu.

In 1893 Bornu was invaded by Rabah-Zubuyr who made himself ruler of Bornu. In 1900, however, Rabih was defeated and killed by the French, who were extending their control over the western Sudan.

2. The Coastal Tribes
To the south of Bornu and the Hausaland were a large number of tribes having various origins and customs and speaking distinct languages of these the largest and most important were the Yoruba and Beni or Bini (also Benin) who occupied what later became the western region of Nigeria and the Igbo in what became the Eastern region. The Ibo(Igbo) tribe was divided into several clan speaking different dialects and lacking any central organization. For this reason, it had practically no recorded history until after the British occupation. The same could be said of the numerous small tribes which inhabited the forest area and the mountainous areas of the north.

The Bini and Yoruba, on the other hand, had long established states which at various time reached a much higher standard of organization and culture than most of the purely Negro people attained. When the first Portuguese ships reached the Nigerian coast in the 15th century, the Bini had long been an important nation, and the Oba(King) of Benin was a powerful monarch whose authority extended over the Yoruba country and even farther west. Friendly intercourse and a certain amount of trade, mainly in slave were established between the Portuguese and the Bini. But the tribe gradually declined in power as the Oba came under the influence of a theocracy that maintained authority by the terror created through wholesale human sacrifices. They discouraged contacts with Europeans, trade dwindled, and by the beginning of the 18th century Benin had lost influence.

In the meantime the Yoruba had risen in importance. Little is known of their origin: read more here: http://www.247tops.net/2017/05/the-entity-called-nigeria-by-baba-ali.html
