The baby boy, who is yet to be named, was born with four legs and four arms, is believed by locals to be the reincarnation of Hindu God Ganesha. Ganesha is one of the most iconic and widely-worshipped of the millions of deities in the Hindu religion and is represented as an elephant with four arms. Medical experts on the other hand that the extra limbs are the result of a birth defect from an underdeveloped conjoined twin. Not everybody is buying the scientific explanation. Kuntalesh Pandey, a worshipper who travelled 115km to take a look of the unusual baby boy, said: “When a friend first sent me a picture I wrote it off as a photoshopped but when he confirmed that it is real I came to see the baby straight away.” A relative of the child said: “The nurses said he was badly deformed but I could see that this was a sign from God. In fact, this is a miracle, it’s God’s baby. Indian God’s have extra limbs just like this.”

The current condition of the baby's mother, Ureda Khatun, is unknown. The baby is not the first to be worshipped by Hindus in recent times. Last year, Arshid Ali Khan, 13, who was born with a seven-inch tail, announced he was considering having it removed - despite being worshipped as a deity. He is believed by many Hindus to be an incarnation of the Hindu monkey god Hanuman.

Kunle Odunlami and Prince Agrey of Sunshine Stars of Akure have been given a one-match ban and fined the sum of N50, 000 for stripping to their pants while celebrating a goal. Super Eagles defender, Kunle Odunlami and Prince Agrey both stripped to their pants as they celebrated Prince's last gasp goal against Dolphins in the match day four of the Nigeria Football Professional League. According to a tweet from the official handle of the League Management Company, the duo will miss one match and will pay a fine of N50, 000. Both players will miss this big match against champions Kano Pillars on Wednesday, April 22. Sunshine Stars are now in third on the table with seven points from four matches. Stephen Keshi, is set to return as Head Coach of the Super Eagles.Keshi is expected to sign a two-year contract extension with the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) on April 17.

The contract when signed, will see Keshi return as Super Eagles handler after his initial contract with the NFA expired after the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Mohammed Sanusi, the Secretary-General of the NFA, told newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday that the contract which would be signed on Friday, would see the coach put pen to paper on his new job.

“By the grace of God on Friday the Super Eagles team will have a coach. Nigerians have been very patient with this issue, so, it’s just only two days remaining for the coach to sign a contract. We cannot announce a coach without signing a contract,’’ Sanusi said.

The NFA scribe also said that efforts were being intensified to sign a new kit sponsorship deal to boost the signing of a coaching deal for the Super Eagles.

“We are working assiduously to ensure we get a kit company that will sponsor our teams. It is not good to disclose the level of discussion with the would-be companies until the deal is finally struck,’’ he added.

He said: “We are going to collaborate with the National Sports Commission (NSC) to ensure we give the teams quality preparations ahead of the Games. We were not there at the last All Africa Games; we were not there at the London 2012 Olympics too but this time that we have qualified we must go and make an impact. The Super Falcons who have qualified for the World Cup will also get the full support of the NFA and NSC, especially in terms of quality friendly matches.

I was just returning from Skul when i saw this massive celebrations around Custom House in Maiduguri and decided to do the needful.

A lot of Nigerian celebrities and showbiz personalities have been quite vocal politically, expressing their thoughts as regards the conduct of free and fair elections while some even campaigned overtly for candidates of their choice. According to reports, Lilian Esoro has denied being engaged to Made Men Mus[b]ic Group (Triple MG) executive, Ubi Franklin. The actress is said to have made the denial via her Blackberry Messenger (BBM) account, . “Please ooooo, stop the congratulatory messages, I am NOT yet engaged, thanks,” Lilian reportedly said on her status message.[/b]

Angry Nigeria Football Federation officials have dragged Bolivia to FIFA following its unilateral cancellation of next week’s international friendly game with the Super Eagles of Nigeria fixed for the Akwa Ibom international stadium in Uyo. The Bolivian Football Federation late on Tuesday called off the March 26 international friendly game against the Super Eagles over supposed fear of Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram. The president of the federation said the NFF, Amaju Pinnick, has already filed a strongly worded letter to FIFA highlighting the alleged breach of contract and revealed that the world football governing body has swung into action informing the Bolivia Football Federation of the consequences of its action.
Mr. Pinnick also revealed the NFF is in a frantic search for a credible replacement for Bolivia. “We are already looking for another country to replace the Bolivians while FIFA sorts out the breach of the contract we signed with the FBF,” said Mr. Pinnick who assured that the Super Eagles will play on March 26 in Uyo. Aside the botched Bolivia friendly the Eagles are also billed to face South Africa’s national team during the next set of FIFA free windows for friendly games and qualifiers.

Singer Seyi Shay says she had no intention of seducing the president when she wore the short dress to sing and greet the President at the MeetThePresident Youth event in Lagos last Saturday.

“I am a very respectable young lady and I was not in any way trying to seduce the President with the outfit I wore. I had two outfits for the event, one was for my performance and the other was worn after I performed.

The dress I was pictured in with the President was what I wore during my performance.

I came on stage and greeted everyone according to their culture and I did the same for Mr. President. He was impressed and he asked where and how I knew how to greet in his native dialect and I said I learnt it.

That was what brought about the giggling and smiles in the picture.

I’m a performer and what I do on stage doesn’t reflect my everyday life. I had two outfits on that day and it was a youth event.

A farmer’s pig has given birth to a deformed piglet with a face like that of a human being coupled with an incredible penis on its forehead. The 40-year-old farmer, Tao Lu, from southern China, said the strange piglet was able to survive the birth but died shortly after being rejected by its own mother.

Lu has received lots of cash gifts and calls from various people who trooped to his house in Yanan township in the city of Nanning, of the country after the news went viral through a local media. Lu said, “It was a large litter, and the mutant was one of the last of 19 piglets to be born. “All the others were normal, just this one was really bizarre. ‘It is a shame it died, I could have got more money for it then for the rest of the family put together based on what people were offering me on the phone.’

Lu said he now hopes to put the piglet’s corpse on display to attract visitors
