Its true maybe I should just focus on business or a management course since I am into business. Wanted to go back media because that was the last place I worked.

So I will just focus applying to University of East Anglia or University Exeter for business/management course. Although would like to stay back after studies either continue with my businesses or get a job in UK.

Getting a UK Management Masters is not in itself enough to give you tier-2 job after your program.
What is important is what skill sets you will be able to bring to the table of an employer.
Note that the skill set has got to be so unique so as to justify why it has to be you rather than a UK citizen, or an EU citizen.

Note also that unless some kind of clean hard BreXit happens, the priority for jobs in order are:
1. Highly Experienced UK or EU Citizen
2. Experienced UK or EU citizen
3. UK or EU citizen with some experience
4. UK or EU citizen without experience ( but who demonstrates that they are trainable)
5. Extremely Highly Experienced person from ‘Rest of the World’

In that order.

So....
You have to be on top of your game.

PS: you mentioned that you are a businessman. There is actually a UK visa category for Entepreneurs and Investors. You may wish to explore that. Google it and get details.

Check the list of occupations/skills in demand before you embark upon your chosen course.
We do not yet know how the Tier 2 visa scheme will operate a) After Brexit, if it eventually happens; and b) following the introduction of the post-study visa scheme; but as it currently stands, getting a CoS for a Tier 2 is not an easy endeavour at all. It's not impossible to get, but you should be aware that you must target your future specialisation carefully. Someone listed up there the order in which candidates are classified as a guide.

If I were you I wouldn't waste my money on a generalist MBA and would try something with a focus on corporate finance or along those lines. Ultimately, employers abroad usually prefer skills/experience to paper, so you should bear that in mind as well.

You need to do a whole lot of research; Nairaland can only take you so far. This will give you a better feel overall about the possibilities available in the UK these days for students and recent graduates.

You have to apply to more universities but before you do that read the course requirements first

Cyberknight, This Masters is the second masters program I want to undergo. The first one was in Operations management. While this one is a generalist MBA and it's with placement(experience). I'm thinking of learning an IT skill alongside with my mba program.

Is a master's in finance in high demand than other areas of management?

If I was in your field of activity, yes, I would specialize in finance and be looking at investment banking, management, that sort of stuff. The generalist MBA has lost a lot of its shine since the late 90s.

Most Tier 2 visas are granted for the following fields: entertainment, IT and health, followed by finance/investment and insurance, in that order.

Again, I am speaking based on my general knowledge of what Tier 2 is like now - it may evolve into a wholly different beast in the years to come.

Thank you so much.

what about being a Business Analyst that is getting certified? How's the Labour market for business analyst?

Can you suggest any school for me to specialize in finance?

Warwick, LSE, Cass and Imperial College come to mind here, but they're definitely not cheap. You'll have to explore other options yourself.

Same ARU gave me admission despite stating my previous visa denials in the past.

LaaJiblik:

Dear Nairalanders,
Please disregard this suggestion.
It’s improper to lie about previous visa denials.

By the way, the REASON for denials is always asked. And for universities like Anglia Ruskin, they ask for the denial letter. So unless the reason for denial was fraud or ‘yahoo-yahoo’ you have nothing to hide.

Experts please..
My MAINTENANCE fee is ready but,
My tuition fee would be ready for Payment in 2 weeks time.
Can I put the MAINTENANCE fee in my account to start counting. And pay my tuition fees before 28days ends?

Don't want to waste time. Or does it matters that I must have gotten my CAS/UNCONDITIONAL Offer before the count of 28days starts.?

I think the earlier you have your maintenance fee in the appropriate account, the better. If your money is in the appropriate account by 28days before they give you your CAS they you can apply for your visa on time...

i might be wrong but how i understand it . your tuition plus maintenance together that when you start counting your 28days .

I would put the maintenance in your account yes because it can be more than 28days , 28 days is just the minimum but there is no maximum. If this maintenance figure does not include your school fees, then really your 28days start counting when your tuition and maintenance is ready

What is the extent of failure someone could have in pre-cas interview that could make u not to get the pre-cas number. I will be glad to have a clear answer to this questions so as for me to prepare

Thanks

The main confusion am to be cleared is:
Must the start date (that is day 1) of the 28day should not be earlier than the day on Unconditional/CAS?

Thanks in anticipation.

i will say there is no relationship as such .....If for example i get my admission or CAS today , if i had the money for 28days or more i can go apply tomorrow ........ What matter is not the CAS date but that when i apply for visa the money of tuition and maintenance i can show it in my bank account and shows its been there for at least 28 days
