I add 'man on fire' to my fav Denzel movies. Dakota Fanning was awesome! Lovely blend.

And I add 'taking of pelham 12, watever.
That movie wasted my time. I was expecting to see a mad Travolta - Denzel combo. The only thing worse was Al Pacino and De Niro in 'Righteous Kill'. Rubbish

Does anybody remember the movie "Virtuosity (1995)"?
It starred Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe was the villian called SID 6.7. The film was 'somehow' to me.

Another weird one was "Fallen (1997)".

I remember Virtuosity! Crappy! Man, is there a movie you haven't seen? I've not seen Fallen but I hear it's good, with a twist ending.

Here's my short review

John Quincy Archibald ^{*hope i spelt that correctly*} (Denzel Washington) is father to a son who has a heart condition. While playing a baseball game, his son Micheal (Daniel Smith) suddenly collapses and John rushes to the hospital. . where he's told his son needs a transplant BUT his insurance won't cover it.

Like all sharp fathers wey no dey slack , John takes the staff and patients hostage until the resident doctors agree to perform the transplant.

I don't know about you but Denzel was just awesome and at some point i had to go over the crew to see if Micheal(Daniel Smith) was in ANYWAY related to him cuz they jelled too well and his acting was just too REAL .

In my own opinion, I felt Denzel Washington should have won an oscar award for his role in this film. He did well on "Training Day" as well (which he won Best Actor oscar), but he should have been given another one for this movie.

A nice movie to watch that makes complete sense. I'll rate it 87%

Very few people are capable of carrying a movie themselves. Very few can perform well in character driven roles. And Denzel is mos def on the list.

John Q gets 95% from me.
And I so loved the end where his son did the macho pose. Telling the world his dad is a hero. Going to prison or not. Hero all the way.
