Can u snap and send 1 of those literatures where it is written

Cus d man taking me bible lessons is also a jw.... What he says condratics what u'r saying

When JW refer to John 1:1, they tell you that the original greek didn't say "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God". They say - in the beginning was the Word and the Word was a god. Further more, they deny the trinity and it's right on their website;

http://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/trinity/

The Bible said: 1 John:5:7: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one"

If any JW tells you that they believe in the Trinity, they are deceiving you

According the Bible, God is a Triune Being. As all humans are a trinity (soul, body, and spirit--1 Ths. 5:23), God is also a Trinity. In Genesis 1:26, God said,
"Let us make man in our image. . ." In Genesis 11:7, God said, ". . . .let us go down, and there confound their language. . ." The terms "us" and "our" obviously refer to the Holy Trinity. So the Trinity is found in the very early chapters of the Bible.

They don't do blood transfusion. Why?
THIS IS COMMON CAUSE OF CONTROVERSY. KINDLY FIND HEREB BRIEF EXPLANATION. FOR DETAILS, PLEASE SPEAK WITH A WITNESS.

Christians are commanded to ‘abstain from blood’

Acts 15:28, 29: “The holy spirit and we ourselves [the governing body of the Christian congregation] have favored adding no further burden to you, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled [or, killed without draining their blood] and from fornication. If you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper. Good health to you!” (There the eating of blood is equated with idolatry and fornication, things that we should not want to engage in.)

Does the Bible’s prohibition include human blood?

Yes, and early Christians understood it that way. Acts 15:29 says to “keep abstaining from . . . blood.” It does not say merely to abstain from animal blood. (Compare Leviticus 17:10, which prohibited eating “any sort of blood.”) Tertullian (who wrote in defense of the beliefs of early Christians) stated: “The interdict upon ‘blood’ we shall understand to be (an interdict) much more upon human blood.”—The Ante-Nicene Fathers, Vol. IV, p. 86.

Is a transfusion really the same as eating blood?

In a hospital, when a patient cannot eat through his mouth, he is fed intravenously. Now, would a person who never put blood into his mouth but who accepted blood by transfusion really be obeying the command to “keep abstaining from . . . blood”? (Acts 15:29) To use a comparison, consider a man who is told by the doctor that he must abstain from alcohol. Would he be obedient if he quit drinking alcohol but had it put directly into his veins?

In the case of a patient that refuses blood, are there any alternative treatments?

Often simple saline solution, Ringer’s solution, and dextran can be used as plasma volume expanders, and these are available in nearly all modern hospitals. Actually, the risks that go with use of blood transfusions are avoided by using these substances. The Canadian Anaesthetists’ Society Journal (January 1975, p. 12) says: “The risks of blood transfusion are the advantages of plasma substitutes: avoidance of bacterial or viral infection, transfusion reactions and Rh sensitization.” Jehovah’s Witnesses have no religious objection to the use of nonblood plasma expanders.

Jehovah’s Witnesses actually benefit from better medical treatment because they do not accept blood. A doctor writing in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (June 1, 1968, p. 395) acknowledged: “There is no doubt that the situation where you [the surgeon] are operating without the possibility of transfusion tends to improve your surgery. You are a little bit more aggressive in clamping every bleeding vessel.”

All types of surgery can be performed successfully without blood transfusions. This includes open-heart operations, brain surgery, amputation of limbs, and total removal of cancerous organs. Writing in the New York State Journal of Medicine (October 15, 1972, p. 2527), Dr. Philip Roen said: “We have not hesitated to perform any and all indicated surgical procedures in the face of proscribed blood replacement.” Dr. Denton Cooley, at the Texas Heart Institute, said: “We became so impressed with the results [from using nonblood plasma expanders] on the Jehovah’s Witnesses that we started using the procedure on all our heart patients.” (The San Diego Union, December 27, 1970, p. A-10) “‘Bloodless’ open-heart surgery, originally developed for adult members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses sect because their religion forbids blood transfusions, now has been safely adapted for use in delicate cardiac procedures in infants and children.”—Cardiovascular News, February 1984, p. 5.

My issues with jehovah's witness are

1 They dont like praying with other christains
2 They invite you to their programs but will not come for yours when you invite them
3 They dont usually allow members to marry christains frm other denominations

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and he died for our sins and i try as much as i can to emulate him. Now why will a fellow christain do all the above to me cos i dont worship in the same place as him? Is it not annoying? Jesus told his disciples that he who is not against us is with us. So why dont jwits see other christains as part of them 'us' just like Jesus. In heaven there will only be saints, but there will be no denomination no catholic, anglican, winners, reedem or christ embassy so why cant we be more united?

I also have a problem with jwits not accepting blood transfusion. They would rather die than accept it. Makes no sense to me.

I love awake magazine though and one of my best friend is jwits. He is selfless

They are taught not to associate with others from other beliefs apart from preaching. They have sent many of their senior fellows to my house and after we open the Bible together and show them what they claim - most of them stop coming back. They believe that their leaders are anointed and know the Bible and they listen without and doubt what their head-quarters tell them.

You guys hate people who do not practice your doctrine but can fvck hell out of them.

I have been to your place of worship and noticed that you do not wanna pray when people ask you to pray before you discuss your religion with them.

(1) In Zechariah 12:10, Jehovah speaks of the future return of Christ and says, ". . . They shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourne for him, as one mourneth for his only son . . . ." This is spoken again in Revelation 1:7, which is clearly a reference to Christ Himself, but in Zechariah 12:10 GOD said, ". . . They shall look upon me whom they have pierced . . . ." The One that they pierced was Jesus Christ! So, in Zechariah 12:10, God is saying that He is Jesus Christ.
(2) In John 1:1, John 1:14, 1 John 1:1, and in 1 John 5:7, Jesus is called "the Word," and John 1:1 says that "the Word was God."
(3) Thomas referred to Jesus as "My Lord and my God" in John 20:28, and Jesus did not see the need to correct him.
(4) Isaiah 7:14 gives us the prophecy of the Virgin Birth of Christ and states that His name would be "Immanuel." Matthew 1:23 tells us that this word means "God with us."
(5) In Isaiah 9:6, Jesus is called "Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." The Bible certainly would not say this about anyone less than God.
(6) In John 10:30, Jesus says, "I and my Father are one." Jesus is not a lesser god; He is ONE with the Father.
(7) Micah 5:2 tells us that Jesus is "from everlasting."
(cool In John 8:58, Jesus tells the Pharisees, "Before Abraham was, I am."
He claimed to be the "I AM" of Exodus 3:14, which is God Almighty.
(9) Jesus allowed others to worship Him (John 9:38; Matt. 14:33; and Luke 24:52), which was forbidden, unless He was God (Rev. 22:9).
(10) Jesus forgave sins (Mark 2:5), which only God can do (Mark 2:7).
(11) The Lord Jesus Christ is omnipresent (Matt. 18:20; 28:20; II Cor. 13:14; I John 5:7). We know He is God because He is capable of being everywhere at once.
(12) Jesus is omniscient (Mark 11:2-6; Matt. 12:40). He is God because He knows all things.
(13) The Lord Jesus is also omnipotent (Rev. 19:6; Matt. 28:18). He has all power.
(14) According to John 1, 1 John 1, Colossians 1, and Hebrews 1, Jesus Christ is the Creator of Genesis 1!
(15) Jesus never sinned! Romans 3:23 says that ALL HAVE SINNED and come short of the glory of God, but Jesus did not sin (2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18). So Jesus had to be God.

John 1:1 in the N.W.T. says that "the Word was a god," instead of "the Word was God." The definite article "the" is replaced with "a," and the capital "G" is replaced with a lower case "g." The last half of 1 John 5:7 is omitted in the N.W.T., because it says that the Father, the Word (which is Christ in John 1:14), and the Holy Ghost "are one."

You can't be with someone and still be that same person.

The Godhead is not a person, it's an office. John cleared this up for us:

1 John:5:7: For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

God has no beggining, all other things where created through jesus, he was Gods master worker . Prov 8 : 22- 31.
Jesus has always remained subjected to the father, the almighty God, in heaven or on earth, and it was not a position he wished to grabe but has always remained loyal, despite being in the same nature with God.

Jesus is the same nature with God and is God in nature as well. The Bible makes it simple:

Hebrews 1:8: "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."

Here God the Father is calling the Son, Jesus, God. God exist in more than one form at the same time. That's simple biblical teaching

On my way from "imitate Jesus" regional convention. It was quite edifying.its good to note that in the gathering of over 2000 persons in Northern Nigeria,no metal dictator was used,no police was invited,no Army nor traffic warder yet everything was peaceful n orderly.nobody talks about the activities of the human government but about God's kingdom. This is indeed a spiritual paradise we re enjoying.thank u Jehovah. For some of u who say we don't believe in Jesus simply because we believe in one God,check d title of the the convention

JW like all religious people have their shortcomings. However, these guys are as christianly (if there's such a word) as is humanly possible. The composure, intelligence, serenity, the list is endless.

At a point in my life, 80% of my friends were JWs. Scratch that, more like 90%. It's difficult to believe I didn't become one of them.

With that said, amongst the faults I have with JW, the one that ranks most is the fact that they do not pledge allegiance to any territory. If we were under siege, and most of your neighbors happen to be JWs, you'd have better luck committing suicide than putting up a fight.

Nonetheless, I do like the fact that they make moral decisions without the fear of hell. Just proves that atheists and the non-religious of us can make right decisions as much as the 'righteous' holy-rollers who make right decisions simply because they are scared of being thrown into a burning pit. Beats me to think of how they'd act, if they weren't scared of such punishment.

I guess a lot of us are programmed to fall in line, whether by the government (those in the military), religion (those in the church, mosques), or belief system (cult members). Without this programme, these humans are but savage beasts without purpose.

Every thing Jesus has, he was given and in the end, he would SUBJECT himself to the FATHER. 1Corr 15:24-28. There is a reason one is called the 'Father' and the other, the 'Son'...

Is there eternal punishment for the wicked?

Matt. 25:46, KJ: “These shall go away into everlasting punishment [“lopping off,” Int; Greek, koʹla·sin]: but the righteous into life eternal.” (The Emphatic Diaglott reads “cutting-off” instead of “punishment.” A footnote states: “Kolasin . . . is derived from kolazoo, which signifies, 1. To cut off; as lopping off branches of trees, to prune. 2. To restrain, to repress. . . . 3. To chastise, to punish. To cut off an individual from life, or society, or even to restrain, is esteemed as punishment;—hence has arisen this third metaphorical use of the word. The primary signification has been adopted, because it agrees better with the second member of the sentence, thus preserving the force and beauty of the antithesis. The righteous go to life, the wicked to the cutting off from life, or death. See 2 Thess. 1.9.”)

2 Thess. 1:9, RS: “They shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction* and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.” (*“Eternal ruin,” NAB, NE; “lost eternally,” JB; “condemn them to eternal punishment,” Kx; “eternal punishment in destruction,” Dy.)

Jude 7, KJ: “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” (The fire that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah ceased burning thousands of years ago. But the effect of that fire has been lasting; the cities have not been rebuilt. God’s judgment, however, was against not merely those cities but also their wicked inhabitants. What happened to them is a warning example. At Luke 17:29, Jesus says that they were “destroyed”; Jude 7 shows that the destruction was eternal.)
