Apostle Paul wrote somewhere that to be a leader in the church, one must be husband of only one woman hence if you are ordinary member you can marry more. Otherwise there is no specific reference on the issue.

David.. Solomon... were of the Old Testament! In the new testament, jesus Christ in his teachings made men know that they are to have one wife!

Even in that same old testament, the law of moses still forbids multiple wives. So that David and Solomon broke the law does not make it right.
