You dey mind these Nigerian eediots. Most are illiterates.

May their fathers leave them in debt like PDP did to Nigeria.

A Government that inherits massive debt in the face of dwindling oil revenue has no choice but to state the debt they were left in, especially when the previous Government looted us into debt instead of saving money when oil was $100 pb.

A government can never pay up its debt per tenure. Government is a continuum. GEJ met more debt than is the one currently debated. but it's not a subject of blame.
do u know how much in debt lagos state was as at may 2015?
Do u know how much in debt the US is now, and will be transfered to next government?
When this minister start making these kind of excuses, you start feeling the need to have a minister of petroleum proper and not the president.
This excuse is just a deflection to the question asked, cos he doesn't know what to say.

Neither will take us to our promise land if we don't move from where we're, but we can't forget how we got to where we're even though we would be more determined to achieve a greater cause. Be that as it may, it would be wrong to forget how we got here so that we won't let down our resolve to even go higher positively, but GEJ's bashing doesn't disturb the progress of this regime, moreover, PMB had being silent on all issues while only spokesmen speak of which that's just their duty.
I am strongly of the view that if Buhari feel's that GEJ committed crime against the Nigerian state, the appropriate thing to do is to seek redress in a legal court to prosecute GEJ and his co-travellers. Bashing GEJ in the media will do Buhari no good and will eventually be seen as a hate speech calculated at tarnishing the image of GEJ. Already Nigerians are becoming feed up of the blame game. While you trade blame, put mechanism on ground to tackle the rot you met then Nigerian will appreciate you better.
As for the issue of Buhari being silent and not be the one talking, Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina, Lai Mohammed and others are speaking his mind.

This is best way lie Mohamed knows how to do his job. He definitely is suited for APC spokesperson but not information minister. Let APC tell him his job is not about blame trading, finger pointing and lying. Blaming Jonathan for something happening under Buhari administration shows gross irresponsibility on the part of Buhari government. Did they not use all these to campaign, telling us how they will make regular fuel available? Is government not a continuum? What is the big deal in inheriting problems from previous administration? Are they going to solve all Nigeria problems and not leave any for their predecessor? These people are simply clueless.

Thank you very much for this. Is there any country that does not have debts?
Does anyone know how much America owes? Most people will be speechless.
A country's debt is always made up of both internal and external debts. No government anywhere in the world has 0 debt especially debt from local contractors/services which is where subsidy debt come in.

The only reason there was scarcity in April after GEJ lost election was because marketers were worried that the new government of GMB may not pay them. Otherwise, in 5 years of GEJ, Nigerians never suffered from fuel scarcity.

Useless man, APC are cowards...
Rawani:
We know this already. Jonathan was no doubt a failure, a looter and now with revelations of how he diverted funds meant to eliminate Boko Haram, a human rights violator and potential ICC candidate.

However, as Minister of Information, we are more concerned in being given concrete facts on what is being done to alleviate the problem.

It's not enough to just blame Jonathan oga Lai. Tell Kachukwu the new chief fuel importer to sit up.

Lie Lie Mohammed I duff my cap for youoooo..you got PhD in lieiology.MSc in double speaking. We know that the problems was there, that's why you where voted in to remedy the situation, Nigerians are tired of this your blame game,,,, remember old age is not a course, but a blessing, may we benefit from the frankness associated with old age,.sometimes your lies are so glaring that the blind can see it.

Not taking responsibility is a mark of failure and always shifting blames is a sign of irresponsibility. I can't believe this sh1t. Lia(r) Mohammed and his APC cohorts are becoming an irritant and irresponsible by blaming every quagmire on the previous administration.

It's been over 7months since APC took over power and they're yet to come to terms that whatever predicament Nigeria is battling rest solely on their shoulders.

I think we need to remind Mr. Mohammed that Nigerians were cognizant of PDP's misgovernance and devious profligacy hence booted them out and voted for them.

We already know PDP are evil but what we never knew and which has been coming to light is that the APC are no better if blames is all they have for us. Enough of the madness and get your boots on. WTF

Shifting blame is understandable in this situation. Nigeria is basically ruined. Our economy and foreign exchange rate rely on crude. Obasanjo cleared our debts before he left but now we are heavily indebted. Obasanjo started a program (some kinda of backup plan for a time like this) but Jonathan instead of contributing to it when oil price appreciated, the bastard embezzled almost everything. So we basically have nothing. I doubt if they actually assessed these factors before election ( we have a culture that care less about economic policies)

I don't even want to think about it because don't see a way out for ussad without austerity measures and economic diversification. The latter, I believe has been Buhari's primary concern. The reason he has been traveling here and there. However that is going to be hard in a country where fools couldn't fix electricity issues before privatising it, where terrorism has no face and corruption is still a big deal.

It hurts so much to see that there are people who actually cheer Lai Mohammed and APC on in this their show of shame that has become so regular and predictive.
Has anyone ever heard Barack Obama blame George Bush for anything?
And does this mean that Bush didn't do anything wrong in his 8 years of being American President including fighting unnecessary wars?

This is the height of a reckless speech. This man is not fit to be a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It is a shame!!!

Nigerian politicians irrespective of party affiliation should note that someday not too far from now, Nigerians especially the youths will rise up and demand real change.

They cannot continue to take us all for granted. Not for ever.

You can fool some people all the time
You can fool all the people some of the time
But you can never fool all the people all the time.
By 2019 we the people will request Jonathan to come back to clear ' the mess ' you are finding difficult to handle. Okay?

Seriously I don't know what's só difficult in Lai Mohammed's statement to understand. The man was asked how the fuel scarcity came about. Simply that the oil marketers went on strike for their Subsidy arreas since August 2014. Who doesnt know that the outstanding Subsidy payments caused the strike?
