What exactly is UAE's economic importance to Nigeria when in fact we both have the same thing to offer the world which remains oil.

The only difference is the fact that they managed to diversify their economy unlike us the dumb and corrupt Nigeria.

Can the spell out exactly what we are missing to justify their so called opposition to the deal.

Whatever our looters stashed in the UAE is more important to Nigeria than than their oil which we have a lot of...

We don't want their oil, we just want our money..

If putting Nigerian thieves fails to stop corruption, then government should start executing the Nigerian thieves.

If 90 percent of Nigerians are thieves, then 90 percent of Nigerians ought to be executed. The remaining 10 percent that are cultured enough should run the country.
So u think those executing them are not corrupt??

Are you saying all Nigerians are so corrupt, that if people start getting executed for corruption, other Nigerians will not stop being corrupt?

I did not expect them to state their reasons in clear terms. No-one does that!

Remember, this is a leaked report of ministers disagreeing with their president on a foreign mission. Do you know the degree of courage demanded, and the sensitivity of the issues of contention for such a thing to happen?
Where have you ever heard a thing like this in the world?

The ministers' argument bothers on issues of national interest. Think about that.

Hope the national assemblies are required to debate the pros and cons of bilateral agreement and treaties with other nations before rectification as lawful agreement. They should vote down any, and all unbalanced agreements.
Agreement is an issues of give and take.
Sahara reporters did poor job about what Nigeria will give. Only reported what nigeria will get. The Oluwole certificated-one think he is still a dictator, his intended give away to Dubai for support in our corruptions prosecutions considerations will be unveiled when the issue get to house of congress/assembly.
Think the ministers are trying to save themselves from later embarrassments like the budget fiascos.

Or that allocated 4.7billion for cars; 3.9billion for renovation; that is allocating about 750billion for security that his friends are in charge; that tinubu, ameachi, gemade, jakande, lai mohammed, atiku, Yerima, tY danjuma, Bayero are his friends. Wen we all know they ran these country down? So who is the person executing. The GEJ that u guys are saying is a thief doesn't even own an oil bloc. Hypocrisy is just d height.

If Buhari kills corrupt individuals and he also steals money, Buhari should also be killed by the next president. If Nigeria continues this way, Nigeria will finally have a chance of developing.

The Agreement is weighed against Nigeria's interests, which means Nigeria doesnt stand to benefit economically from what ever they signed with UAE....how unfortunate that nigerians will follow their leaders over a cliff, even tho u didnt have to go that route.
Nairadays:
Another point in time for Wailers and the likes to throw punches at the president going by so many comments thus far.

Udoma and Kemi, we know you're a team, but let BuBu have his way on this one.

The UAE's major export outflow is oil, i might be wrong but i think so. We have oil too -- but oil revenue and worth is dwindling by the day. UAE knows this too. Should we sign agreement with them that they should come and build refineries for us?

Their major IGR is Tourism, in this also i might be wrong too but i think so. We have good tourist attractive potentials too, ours is natural but theirs is capitally intensive, building cities in deserts. We can develop too in tourism and capitally, which is where this government is going, by making sure capital expenditure is high in our yearly budgets. Is it the UAE that's building Eko Atlantic?

In the two sources of income i mentioned above, between Nigeria and the UAE, we are more or less competitors.

And so the only thing we can gain from this agreement, i must confess i haven't read it is; getting back all our looted funds stashed in foreign UAE accounts. Which ever way this is done i don't care, the agreement should specify.

Simply BuBu is right on this. He so much believe in Nigeria and so am i.

God Bless the President.

All of a sudden those that were asking Kemi to be redeployed are now on her side automatically because she disagreed with Buhari. No one is thinking maybe there's a chance they were protecting their own personal interests. Then as someone said, I don't think these agreements are drafted in one day. So I like to imagine if truly there were disagreements, all that would have been hashed out before they took the trip. There has probably been a lot of back and forth and agreements between both countries before they got on the plane to go there. I don't like news stories like these because how about we know exactly what the disagreement is so that we can judge. It's not enough to say he's not listening to them. Anyway it's a "let's bash Buhari article" so food for wailers... Enjoy!!

Then if these disagreements were truly bad, our ministers need to be able to let go of the perks of office and resign honorably. They won't be able to play ignorance if truly the agreements turn out to be bad for the country. Same way NOI can't claim full innocence of mismanagement of funds meant for arms procurement

Is she qualified to be Nigeria's finance minister now?

A decisive president I must say. He knows his onions well. I salute presido.
Does this mean than Nigerian youths have become so robbed that they can barely afford a good look and recognition of wrong government policies and foreign agreements that threaten's their own existence. Agreed there has been corruption in the system but '' Police Catch thief'' will not take us to the level we desire. Our youths should stop allowing the love for a politician to cloud their judgement.

Inasmuch as buhari isn't aa seasoned lawyer like Udoma and Adeosun, the two latter individuals haven't covered themselves in glory either.

Adeosun, four months into office hasn't given up to 3 press briefings on financial policies aimed @ revamping the nation's economy. Heck, she's been eerily silent all through; in words and in actions!

Udoma, sigh!.. I hear he's in charge of Budgets and Planning. Bearing in mind the gaffes and scandals we've been hearing about the nation's budget these past couple of weeks, its funny that no one has pointed fingers towards his direction.

Anyways... lemme just chill and watch how the whole scene plays itself out.

this should tell you that Buhari made the ministers of key ministries to be Anonymous.
