We all have to understand that no country in this world will just hand over monies and properties built in that country just because they like your face without getting something in return. The monies they agree to repatriate are circulating In their economy and to just cash they out to you can actually affect that country. Moreover what do they even produce! 2 Likes |

I have thought that the best way to recoup money is to give a 30 day window in which all stolen funds should be returned and then go on massive prosecution of those who fail to use the window. That will cost the FG very little and give it maximum gains. There is no proof now that results will be achieved the way it is being fought now. Our resident should listen to counsel if he does not want to go into the black pages as some of his predecessors. If force can work wonders, Nigeria should have changed 30 years ago when PMB and Idiagbon ruled with iron fist. If PMB succeeds in convicting people and seizing their funds, another government may come tomorrow and grant pardons and return the funds. Let us think deep and far. A truth commission can serve us better. Restructuring, reforming should take primary attention and not incarcerations. Olisa metuh is being turned into a star now as he will surely garner public sympathy, and if care is not taken the hunter can become the hunted. Wisdom is paramount. 1 Like |

Candyrain:Going by your reasoning, appointed ministers should be allowed to take decisions at will without questioning. In case you don't know, it's that same style that made Jonathan's govt into an overall failure. Think deep! |

Pavarottii: If putting Nigerian thieves fails to stop corruption, then government should start executing the Nigerian thieves. If 90 percent of Nigerians are thieves, then 90 percent of Nigerians ought to be executed. The remaining 10 percent that are cultured enough should run the country. |

Another point in time for Wailers and the likes to throw punches at the president going by so many comments thus far. Udoma and Kemi, we know you're a team, but let BuBu have his way on this one. The UAE's major export outflow is oil, i might be wrong but i think so. We have oil too -- but oil revenue and worth is dwindling by the day. UAE knows this too. Should we sign agreement with them that they should come and build refineries for us? Their major IGR is Tourism, in this also i might be wrong too but i think so. We have good tourist attractive potentials too, ours is natural but theirs is capitally intensive, building cities in deserts. We can develop too in tourism and capitally, which is where this government is going, by making sure capital expenditure is high in our yearly budgets. Is it the UAE that's building Eko Atlantic? In the two sources of income i mentioned above, between Nigeria and the UAE, we are more or less competitors. And so the only thing we can gain from this agreement, i must confess i haven't read it is; getting back all our looted funds stashed in foreign UAE accounts. Which ever way this is done i don't care, the agreement should specify. Simply BuBu is right on this. He so much believe in Nigeria and so am i. God Bless the President. |

Same reason why Obj failed..too much knowledge or egocentricity will do more harm than good..The man is a trained General but when it coes to economic matters he ought to listen to the voice of reason.. Which is experts view on national matters..A leader that refuses to listen to the sound argument of his Aids will have himself to blame when the chips are down. |
