I am so shocked that this is all you could say even when the Hausa visitors unleashed such carnage on their host- the Yorubas. It is really sad how average Yoruba behaves just like a slave in the face of an Hausa Fulani. Why are Yorubas having a feeling of slavery when Hausa-Fulani is involved? Just look at what Hausas did to the Yorubas on their own soil. I am sure Oba of Lagos would have started threatening Lagoon had it been the fight was coming from elsewhere. Yorubas should change their slavish mentality. This was the same way they lost Kwara to the Hausa-Fulanis.

What are you saying? Did you read the post. It was the Yoruba Thugs that took it this far and the deaths recorded are said to be Hausa's. And what is slavish in the mentality of the guy you qouted? And who told you that Yoruba's feel enslaved to the Hausa's. I think you need a psychologist to reposition your belief. All you have said makes no sense.

I understand you to some extent boss!
But when ur suggestion is what is in place, u will see cars and bikes killing and wounding pple anyhow and in some cases, you will see hit and run cases!
By the was,how many of these pple u referred to has an Insurance cover?

God Bless Nigeria!

Your assertion is on the contrary because the concept works in most organized places. There are always measures or laws in place to ensure compliance. I will just give you instances of some of these checks and balances related this

1) The more accidents you get involved in, the more your insurance bill goes up, until you are no longer able to afford insurance, therefore can no longer drive legally

2) There is a "three accident points" clause. That after three accidents, which you are at fault, your license is suspended.

3) Leaving the scene of accident is a serious crime. You may be charged with motor vehicle homicide.

There are so many others which time and space would not permit but the bottom-line is that, we just have to get our acts together.

Eyewitness accounts say that at least four people have died, while security operatives are battling to get the violence under control.

Huge plumes of smoke can been seen bellowing from a distance as houses have been set ablaze.

Residents of the area have remained indoors for fear of being attacked.

No one has been able to give reasons for the crisis as at the time of this report.

The Lagos State Government has closed down the markets in the area temporarily, and has vowed to deal with miscreants and law breakers.

The State Government is also appealing to parents to ensure that their wards are law abiding. - Online Reporter.

No fewer than three persons are feared dead and several cars set ablaze as Hausa and Yoruba traders clashed at the popular Mile 12 Market in Lagos State.

It was gathered that the foundation for the clash was laid on Tuesday after a Hausa commercial bike rider knocked down a woman.

The bike rider was told to take the woman to the hospital, but the rider and his colleagues refused.

They insisted that the motorbike association, which collects tolls from them, should take care of the woman. There was heated argument, which led to a fight.

The fighting continued all through Wednesday till Thursday (today) when some thugs, believed to be of Yoruba origin, invaded the market and started attacking the Hausas.

They burnt seven cars and killed three Hausa traders.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni; the Commander of the Rapid Response Squad, Olatunji Disu; the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operation, Lagos State Police Command; and teams of policemen were still at the scene as at the time of filing the report. - Online Reporter

Hausa/Fulanis are very deadly,
They do not deserve to co-habit or be neighbours with any peace loving citizen either in a village, community, state or COUNTRY .

They go about molesting, stealing, killing and destroying.

Well, they are in political alliance with their host undecided

So no matter their crimes, they can be forgiven by their host in order not to offend the president. Their beloved Sai baba

Goodluck to them undecided

U are very right Bro!

They even said the North respect them and they prefers them to other regions in Nigeria! They hate and insults their genuine brothers just because they see them as a big threat and way ahead of them in all spheres of lives!

Many speaks out of religious sentiments with them in the North but who cares?

Let them get what they asked for!

What if the woman that was hit by the hausa okada is Igbo and the Yoruba NURTW members were trying to see that she is taken to hospital?

I doubt Hausas will make trouble outside their land. Lagos is too far away for them to pick up fights. If they are being pursued, they wont reach Ikire before being caught.
I urge Lagos govt and the federal govt to intervene. Oba Akiolu Rilwan, Olowo Eko, Oko Kofoworola, please step in and deal with the culprits.

Too bad for you, the combination of Abode and this criminal Oba has brought nothing but strife to a usually peaceful Lagos.
Yesterday, it was Igbos, Today na Hausa, tomorrow it would be Tivs or Edos. Na wetin de worry these Yoruba area boys

In 1800's the Yorubas defeated the fulani tribe and drown most of them in a river..

why do you think the Colonial masters had to get rid of the Benin Kingdom quickly...
why? Please enlighten us.
