Pla i beg u,do t wver do mistake of changing gasket or ringing your engine. Whay happened is your pistons rings are stuck,the carbon from the fake fuel u r buting has amounted to enuf carbon build up both on the valves and piston rings,thereby seizing your puston rings. Those carbon build up,are thick like sawdust and black up. What u need is a piston soak with atf and thinner,esp when the car has been driven for al ost 2hrs and parked at home for at least 10mins.if tou are a DIY guy like me,its pretty easy.if u r not patient, ud buy toks engine and it will begin to smoke and kill your plugs prematurely.normally plugs supposed to be changed every 1 year olus,and not every 2 or 3 months.if not,your engine will suck up fuel and oil. Use your head.your engine will be under load,plugs with injector with brainbox will keep maki g your engine consume oil and fuel.buy a borescope from aliexpress and check the top of your pistons. I bet u,it would be egg burnt black,with oil residue. Dont allow mechanic make u a client.DIY only.visit youtube or u become a maga

Hello guys,
Pls my 08 Honda Civic (I-robot) is running rich (consuming fuel) at 12.1 - 12.3L/100km and smoking a bit. The smoke is not visible but one can smell it and there's some black soot in the exhaust.

The issue started over 2 months ago. My usual consumption used to range from 9.8 - 10.2L/100km till the the problem started.

There's no check engine light and no codes. Scanned myself and an electrician also did.
Both upstream and downstream O2 sensors, catalytic converter and MAF sensor in place.

I've changed complete set of plugs twice. Used the common NGK the first time, and used one Belgium set the second time. On both occasions, I got improvements of only about 0.1L/100km.

My exhaust has been checked and they said no leaks.

I also told mech to change my pressure regulator (returner). There was no change.

The only significant change I made to the car before this issue started was changing the oil from the common Mobil 20/50 the former owner used to Castrol GTX 5/20 as recommended by Honda. Oil level has not dropped and there are no leaks.

The problem is frustrating because the car has been a really good car since I bought it till this issue started. And I no ready to dey save for engine replacement now.

Please help.

Get yourself a new engine and at least rest for another 6 to 8months.if u keep up with diff fools advice here or keep going to a mechanic. U are gonna get scammed,and they will scatter your engine till brainbox level.scrap that engine and get a toks .now u cant tell between what a single cell and doubl3 cell is. A double cell radiator for a 4plug engine.hahahahaha. see how u wan use all your money buy fuel, mechanics and quacks know reality but want you to keep coning back,so they extort u.
