They called Nnamdi Kanu a fugitive that ran away leaving his people and also called him a coward.
They called Igbos chest beaters.
Now, who's the chest beaters? Who's a fugitive?

mancoconut: I know I've been engrossed in many unsavory ethnic banters on here against the Yorubas (mostly done in casual jest and defence of my Igbo brothers), but the Igboho situation that just played out has taught me a very serious lesson. Typically a news of this nature would have seen me opening numerous threads to mock the Yorubas considering how they did likewise to the Igbos when Kanu escaped from the military invasion of his residence back in 2017...its no news how Yorubas went to town with it calling Kanu a coward and making countless memes and jokes about it... But I'll never be that petty to tow that line of mocking Igboho and yorubas at large because truth has finally hit me in the face... in truth while we (Yorubas and Igbos) are shamelessly and foolishly insulting ourselves here... the North are on the side laughing at our stupidity while instigating the two most prominent and successful ethnic groups in Nigeria (Yorubas and Igbos) to keep tearing at each other, the North have mastered the art of pretending to be the "dumb Aboki" as we ignorantly stereotype them to be, but in truth they Northerners are FAR SMARTER THAN us Southerners.
Yorubas and Igbos are the most successful tribes in Nigeria in the context of education, global accomplishments, music, arts, sports/entertainment, technology, IT etc in fact name any field of accomplishment and you will see Yorubas and Igbos heavily representing... Go to the diaspora and the story is the same. So if this is the case, how and why have these two Southern giants failed the greater South so badly? I know Yorubas and Igbos have a history of bad blood, mistrust, and political dichotomies mainly triggered during the Zik/Awo era and also the Nigerian civil war... but all these are misunderstandings of the past, why can't we just shake hands, make peace and move on? I guess that will never happen in our lifetime but it's sad to see how the North are easily taking the South to the cleaners and we just sheepishly do nothing about it. The ones that are at least trying to resist the Northern hegemony and oppression (Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho) are now been hounded by the North, and instead of us to unite and back this men notwithstanding their flaws, we are still tearing each other down to the pleasure of the Northern cabals.
On a final note I'll leave this question to you as I leave you all to reflect... how come the Federal government haven't this this much resources, time and dedication towards arresting far more dangerous characters like Sheik Gumi who is an unapologetic terrorist apologist and negotiator? how come the Nigerian government didn't put all this resources that they are unleashing on Kanu and Igboho towards taking out Shekau all this while? isn't it weird that a terrorist group like ISWAP had to do the job the Federal government failed for decades to do in killing Shekau?
Southerners THINK TNINK THINK!!! To go school and amass all the degrees doesn't make you smart, maybe it's time we accept the hard but incontrovertible truth that we aren't as smart and sophisticated as we think we are... the North are the chess masters of this game, and we are unfortunately just the pawns.
More power to Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho in this period of tribulation, this too shall pass. Same here. From a very tender ag( 9yrs to 12yrs), I have been a curious learner of people and their history. I was still very young when I came across history books owned by my late uncle. Most of those books were pertaining the Arab conquests and slavery in the sahara africa, also history of the numerous battles in northern Nigeria. Even though I loved the actions in the books as it felt like I was watching a live action movie as there were not many TV sets in my community then, I was struck with fear and dread. I wondered how dark the ages were for most of our black ancestors. The horrors of war and slavery stuck in my head and sometimes haunt me in my dreams as at then. But as time went on and as I grew up, I realised that those gruesome histories can always repeat itself if some people are still stuck in those medieval mindset of conquests and battles, and on the other hand some persons forget their histories and become too relaxed. And true to that, my thinking is becoming a reality. For most of the southern Nigerians who have become to lazy to know their history especially about the horrible warrings of our ancestors, have played themselves into the hands of those who still maintain and live their lives in the manner of their own ancestors who loved conquests and slavery. Sadly, no amount of education, liberalism, pacifism, democracy, religious indoctrination, will save any man who forgoes his history in the midst of others who still hold onto their past history. At this point, I can't find any humour in the predicament of any south westerner, south easterner or south southerner to cause me to laugh at. |

What matters now is how the rogue government will treat the issue. Obviously finding a means to kill him is one of the topmost things in the mind of the government.
Killing is the only thing this government is good at. They have tried to kill him before he escaped. The government knows that their case is not watertight. So the only option they have is to KILL. We await to see how they will frame the death.

Tinubuadvocate: Well I knew this man called kanu has caused a lot of damaged in the process to frustrate the federal government so he can get biafra republic. Meanwhile kanu really mess up the whole thing when he started attacking the security men ,kanu a well educated person behaving like illiterate...kanu dont carry his people along he only believe in online keyboard warrior.
Although elites dont give a fuvk about the poor people even the president said it at a time that elites are causing poverty in Nigeria which is very true this might be the reason why he shunned the elites and go with the few people that believe in his ideology for biafra republic.
We need to be sincere to ourselves Kanu is not a terrorist although he committed a lots of crimes and I think he did that because of lack of respect and intellectual Kanu is not well informed about Nigeria . Kanu did not kill anyone except the security agencies and to be sincere some of this soldiers, police men and other security officers lack ability to identify with people problem some of them are mannernless when they assigned you to perform your duty do it diligently killing masses doesn't make any sense. We all seen how national guard displayed their professionalism to black people during the protests in America.
If we say kanu is a terrorist what should we call bokoharam and iswap? How many southern or even northern can say he/she want to relocate to bornu or bauchi? At least in the east both indigene and non indigene doing their business without any attack from any groups.
Fulani herdsmen and bandits are the major Nigeria problem today. Let start from herdsmen and farmers I think all of us can see the results of incessant fulani attacks on our farmers food inflation in our country caused by this herdsmen ,killing of farmers raping women kidnapping people for ransom. To travel on our roads was another problem all these issues need to be address if we want peace in this country.
Kanu arrest I'm urging federal government to thread carefully on this man government need to call all regions to a roundtable so everybody can say what the next thing about Nigeria if we still want to continue living as one entity then we need to adopt a system that will okay for each region. And if Nigeria should divide then they should provide a better way we can go on our separate way without any problems.
Nigeria system of government, this is exactly the problem of Nigeria but it seems masses are not paying attention to this we need to change the system of government this will address our problems without we change the system of government nothing can be done in this country and this is how Nigeria will remain in fact it going to be worst than this present. Even if Obama, Trump,Biden come to govern Nigeria with this system of government it will not change anything.
Only a fool will say he/she is happy about Nigeria current situation from power to infrastructure even human capital what about insecurity? This is not cause by Buhari but the system we are operating. Well I think we need each other but we must agree on what will work for all of us .
God bless Nigeria. Bororo! Where was your cow dunk brain when innocent Ipob members were killed in their numbers for waving and carrying Biafran flags? Or in the days of python dance? Where were you and your voice when innocent Igbo farmers were killed unchallenged in the farmlands unprovoked? Look! This guy is just mentally unstable from his looks, he keeps ordering his terrorist to kill policemen and other government officials, is that how freedom fighting works? This man had just killed the Biafra dream for at least the next 30 to 50 years.
Do you think war is the solution? Ipob can't stand a chance with the Nigerian army, forget Boko haram because some northern evil elites are using them to make good cash, in the case of Biafra the army won't take it easy with you.
The best bet for the actualization of the biafran dream is to make good and strategic plans not the stupid pattern this hunch back is handing it. Lol. People like you have never stood for anything. I was very touched and pained for what the Igbo's went through the war and seeing how they have been treated even after the war, and at that point I became a Biafran and Igbo because I shared in their suffering. My conviction to become Igbo arises even further because I come from a community that produces 70,000 barrels of crude oil and 1b cubic feet of gas per day, yet there is nothing to show for it in the community. Seeing that injustice meted on my people made me hate one Nigeria, and for the fact that my people are to docile to fight for their rights made me find succour in the Biafra dream.
