Fast charger or quick charger?
When proper OEMs are doing Dash charge & Qualcomm Quick Charge.

He is definitely referring to those chargers that damage people's phone batteries. Probably the reason Tecno and infinix devices are prone to charging port & battery damages.

First of, it's wrong to generalize. Reference to "all you tweak gospel spreaders". Asides today, I've never persuaded anyone to tweak on this thread. So, let's put this matter to rest and allow people do what suits them. The ones who choose to follow the tweaking path will always have someone to guide them on here or on xda.
If you want to tweak go to the other thread and stop making a fuss about it.

Why would Xiaomi add flash charge technology to a device and then put a charger that doesn't charge fast.

It's like offering someone a fork to drink Sweet garri with cashew nuts.
You do know that Apple's iPhone XS that costs more than one thousand dollars still doesn't come with a fast charger right?

You want to have all options and features for less than $200 phone?

LG G2 was a tweakers delight cool had my first taste of ported MIUI rom on it when Xiaomi phones were a strictly China affair.

God will bless you abundantly for this, most people think unlocking of bootloader and flashing of a custom recovery is only for tweaking enthusiasts, no, a custom recovery's got your back any day. Whenever i have a software ish, i don't even bother to flash my phone, i just restore my twrp backup and that's the end of it.

KINDLY PREACH THE GOSPEL SIR.... UNLOCKING OF BOOTLOADER AND FLASHING OF TWRP FOR THE WIN
On the contrary nobody is against tweaking here. Just don't rub it on anybody's face & start to make the newbies think they're missing out by using the default/official rom for their devices.
And most importantly sticking around to help out those you convinced to tweak when they're stuck.

Unfortunately all you tweak "gospel" spreaders always find it hard doing what's mentioned above.

Guys, let's discuss custom
Are d customs now charging for items brought in via Aliexpress?

Also, I ordered for a phone 4days ago and still processing and I want to change d address it will be sent to, can I do that?
Customs do charge for items but not on all items. If it's a phone you stand a 50/50 chance of being charged (depends on your luck).

For everyone with customs issues, its most likely caused by the weight of your package, as it plays more of a role in duty that actual cost of the item.. When ordering phones with accessories you are likely to have that problem if its in the same package. info gotten from custom official at the post office today.. cheers and good luck

I don't understand ....you mean I buy my parents a gift for example, and I declare it a gift, because of that the courier company (to whom I paid $50) is at liberty not to get it delivered because its a gift and I can't charge them?

No dear. There's an actual value of item and custom value ....both can't be the same. You declare the actual value to the courier and usually they would advise you to take an insurance if you wish to. You then declare the item as a gift to protect the recipient from custom duty.

Most people make the mistake of declaring actual value 'gift' because they don't want to take an insurance on the item when advised by the courier. There's always a threshold of actual value the courier company would accept without insurance. So most people decide to go with 'gift' as actual value to escape this and because the courier cannot quantify the value of the 'gift' they are at no liberty to replace if stolen, damaged or lost in transit.
Lol, if it happens like you stated in your first paragraph then what makes them a courier company? huh

All am saying is if you declare stuff as gift & it gets missing or damaged in transit then OYO is your case (except said item is insured like you stated). Items labeled as gift are least likely to be charged custom duty but they also have a higher risk of being tampered with.

Cheers undecided

AI app usage(RAM) is kinda new, my last Xiaomi doesn't do such(MIUI 9), I had to be clearing my memory every now and then to increase phone speed a little.

But as for your opinion on the AI RAM management, I think I have notice that on my recent Xiaomi upgrade
On older Xiaomi devices RAM management really sucked sha, with MIUI dragging resources with your apps grin

Xiaomi has really come a long way but they still need to optimise these devices more.

I don't know how many we are here, but those who are still using Redmi note 4 should definitely go ahead and update their devices.

Xiaomi fine-tuned this upgrade to acceptable perfection.

It's what I have experienced myself.... I didn't just say that based on what I read online.

Monitor your Activities closely and you will notice it..

Most times when I use third party themes, the memory allocated to the apps on the multi tasking window always increase as compared to what will be allocated when using the default theme. And as you know, as you consume more RAM, you have the tendency of your phone slowing down a lil bit.

Not just that, I also noticed that my wallpaper carousel does not work when using a third party theme. It will just be stagnant with the default one I used without changing like the normal wallpaper carousel algorithm.

Those are the two I can remember for now
Hmm, I get the angle you're coming from. Default themes are snappy no doubt. Personally I attribute their snappiness to their lightweight nature. Try a third-party theme that is light weight (usually the ones marked lite) and you'll notice there is no difference in responsiveness when compared to default themes.

Your point on RAM usage is actually the opposite, at least on Android. The more apps your phone keeps in memory, the faster it will take to load them. This I believe is why OEMs keep increasing the RAM sizes to accommodate even more preloaded apps. With the inclusion of AI the system should be able to predict your usage patterns and keep your commonly used apps in memory.

If you're in the habit of clearing your RAM, just chill & let the system do the cleaning and you'll notice the difference.

I play Asphalt 9 flawlessly on my redmi 6 pro and it runs smoothly; and thats an SD 625 processor. It should run on your redmi note 6 pro flawlessly also with that SD 636

By the way, using third party themes will slow down system functionality. This is from my own personal experience with third party themes; this iOS theme in particular sef.

I had to revert back to the default theme.
shocked Hearing the bolded for the first time in all my years of using MIUI, both ported to other OEM device or Xiaomi phone for that matter.

That's a fallacy btw

Well that's why the duty to be paid is high but who says you can't buy insurance on a goods declared as gift? Does it mean that once its a gift, it can get lost and the courier not under any obligation to deliver it safely? NO ....they owe you that service!
Point of correction, once it's declared as gift there's no more obligation on the part of the courier to replace your item if it goes missing or get damaged in transit. One can't really trust those boys at the docks you know.

Or do you really want to find out the hard way?

Let her buy a powder or cosmetic container that is metallic. Empty the contents and put the phone inside there. Then buy a pack of aluminium foil (that is used in making duplicate receipts) and wrap the package as thick as possible before inserting inside an envelope & posting it as Registered Mail with tracking number via post office.
Don't use courier or express please.
And you think they don't have scanners to detect such packages? Do this and customs duty will be the least of your problems. Am sure NDLEA & Anti-smuggling unit of Customs will be waiting to pick him up too

Bro my Mum bought me a Pocophone f1, so if she want to send it from Italy to Nigeria give me now, I go still pay Custom fee?
Custom fee is not supposed to be charged if item is declared as a gift. But then most couriers don't offer insurance for gift items. Which means if the package goes missing while being declared as a gift, OYO will be your case.
On the other hand if it's just sent without stating it's a gift, you stand 50/50 chance of paying custom duty or not.

Those Xiaomi earphones are mainly for durability. You want wicked sound, there are cheaper options, Rock Zircon, Memt x5s(go try this next), and the uiisii Hm7 ( currently on this, the sound from this thing with Dolby Atmos ehn!). Princetom1, you don grab ur copy?
So amongst these 3 which would you rank the best? Or a slightly better alternative that is of marginal price difference, if any. They all have good reviews online.
