Swift has black and white layout. It's the keyboard I have been using for years. One annoying thing about it though is that when you spell a word that's not in it's dictionary, it highlights the word and when you try to edit some letters in the word, the keyboard will disappear. You cannot get it to be edited unless you remove the word completely.

It can be very annoying.
Switch to Swype keyboard and stop enduring BS cool

Go to site settings in chrome & disable notifications for that exact site. You must have clicked yes when the site prompted if you want notifications.

Well science has answer for it, no one can be bigger than what he doesn't know.
The principle is based on osmolarity.
Any item that get soaked easily but turns into solution less easily can actually be used.
Such substances are good osmoles (draws water to themselves).

If you use garri, it'll absorb it but won't absorb as more water b4 turning into a solution.
Beans can absorb more but less readily.
U get d drift?
It's science grin

LOL. This was tested and there was no substantial evidence to uphold it.

But, I have practical experience of it, and it holds true. Science can't be 100% right afterall

In place of rice, silicon gels can be used but then how does one get access to a quantity large enough to cover a smartphone?

what's up with rice i ave been hearing it here alot recently cry
Rice naturally absorbs moisture, that's why they start to grow mucus if left in a damp place even when bagged.

Placing the phone completely covered up in rice will have the rice absorbing the moisture/water in the components of the phone.

I've had my old phones drop into water momentarily like the OP's case on 2 occasions & they both survived coz this is what I did immediately afterwards

My RN5 fell in a bucket of water yesterday and I got it out immediately (after about 2 seconds) and had it switched off, dried out, had all the holes up & down checked, redried in d sun BUT I still have this water patch on the bottom right corner of the screen (not really conspicuous though) Since I brought the phone out of the rice container this morning (switched off) it's been fine but sometimes the back botton and the mainscreen button at the center of the phone don't respond.
I'm thinking of opening up the phone myself to dry up the inner components to see if it would help. Thanks.
You should have left it covered in rice for at least 3 days with components like SIM card tray removed. I'll advise you return it to the rice bag

The wise rich, you mean? Some rich people will never choose a cheap android over apple, even if the Android performs 10 times more than Apple can do. This is cos some people believe that the only reason they are rich is so that they can buy what the poor can't dare to.

But for the rich that want value for their bucks, there's no doubt they will be turning to cheaper Android
Plz don't get it twisted, this assumption of the rich only preferring to use iPhone over Android devices only obtains within Nigeria & other underdeveloped countries with a skewed idea of affluence & wealth.

In developed climes majority pick the device of their choice & pay in installments under contact with a network carrier. Therefore anybody can use any device they so wish provided it's accessible under contact thus a student can be seen using even the latest iPhone XS Max some days after it's release.

Expensive phone is never a luxury, if only Nigerians will change their mindset.

It's been over 2 years since I last used any ATM to withdraw money. I don't use my ATM on POS machines either.

Whenever I need cash for self maintenance, all I need to do is to call one of my customers to prepare so and so amount for me.

Truth is none of these accounts are safe. You can only reduce the risk by ensuring you don't expose all of your cash to your payment card or everyday transactions. Always have an account separate from one you use daily to hold your savings. For me I have both Current and Savings. My current holds my daily transaction cash while my Savings holds my not to be touched savings. That account has no channel (card or USSD or mobile App) to it. You can also have your daily transaction accounts in a separate bank and transfer to that account anytime you want to transact.
This is the best bet. Started something like this myself recently coz these criminals are not smiling

Me just dey do transactions anyhow on my phone these days because I don't have time to visit banks for transactions. I don't just have that time. But now am very confused. I use both access bank and stanbic ibtc mobile apps downloaded from playsore. Is it the one you people are talking about? They require pin to login though access bank own, I use fingerprint but I don't understand if it falls in the categories of what you people are talking about. Make I know what to do next before I regret of using them.
Recently my friend Skye bank account of 1.2mii was wiped off less than a month he traveled to SA. He even have his ATM with him there. Within 2 days, all the balance was reduced to 90 naira. Man needs to take extra measures. What do you suggest?
Did your friend request for added online shopping security on the card? Someone with him there in SA must have done online shopping via his card details.

Or maybe a smarty pants got hands on his Nigerian line that's linked to that account. I can't fathom any other possible way such theft can be done.

I doubt if the bands currently have the option to have it disabled. Better put a PIN by yourself even when you don't intend to use it before the wrong person does it for you.

the guy transferred money from the account... access bank said the last four digits of your atm can be used in place of your pin to clear your money as long as you're with the alerts number
That's plain wrong. This is why I don't move with all my ATM cards.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by 2kurupt(m): 5:05pm On Sep 17, 2018

I understand it clearly dear. My point earlier was that having access to your ATM card and mobile line does not automatically allow the thief access to your fund through the bank's ATM for cash withdrawal. I agree with USSD and Mobile Bank App, transfers can be made using all of these but not direct cash withdrawal from the ATM.

This is the reason why Central Bank of Nigeria is directing the banks to disable USSD by default on all account and also limit the amount drawable from the accounts using enabled USSD and mobile app channel
This is very essential and should be implemented ASAP. I think the limit should not exceed 20k, I don't see any serious person doing serious business above 20k using USSD. Initial activation of the service too should be done over-the-counter & account holders should be given the choice to be exempted.

My barber got his smartphone stolen by pickpockets then got 50k removed from his account within a few hours via the thief using USSD. He didn't have the USSD service activated prior to the incident.

The safest antidote to this is have the USSD activated by yourself to avoid it being done by someone else.
