Aside the Virtual Reality glasses I don't see the other accessories adding value to my 2 year old G2.

Most of these gadgets are just aimed at getting people to spend in exchange for little or no value. I still don't see the need for smartwatches since they totally rely on your phone to function optionally, coupled with very poor battery backup. Did I mention that some so-called smartwatches even cost more than the actually smartphones they are meant to complement?! Pure waste of money...

I guess they dunno how frustrating it is being told almost persistently that ea got server issues or is unavailable. I initially thought it was a location problem, but the complaint is all over the internet

I think the right advise is "save up & get a good, quality phone" that's not gonna be obsolete in the next few years.

I've come to realize that tech products are just given marginal & cosmetic upgrades until say 3 to 4 years before they really put in something worth spending on.

Case in point: most of the 2 to 3 year old so-called flagship devices are still on par with their current upgrades save for a shiny new skin, a lil higher benchmark score etc All are just gimmicks like someone rightly said

With all the hype surrounding this game it's quite sad how it keeps disconnecting with ea servers at the slightest opportunity, thus wasting one's efforts especially after winning a match.

For those that can't have it running yet, just chill coz compatible versions will be released soon.

No LTE services offered yet by GSM providers doesn't necessarily mean there won't be in the near future.

Aside that I think most Nigerians go for these LTE ready phones because they mostly come as standard hardware features of mid & high end smartphones.

Unless you're content with using torchlight phones & very low end phones with mediocre features, I don't see why you should worry.

Yup, I was surprised myself but when compared to MTN & Etisalat that I use based on data connectivity glo comes top.

With window 10 u cant use ARM-based app for all windows devices(pc,xbox,tablets,fones,band,surface hub and hololens);with 'windows 10 continuum for fones' ,u can transform ur windowsphone to pc and with forth coming 'surface fone',u have a fone as total pocket pc(a computer föne)

The Surface tablet is not a phone man, despite the SIM slot. Plus you make it sound like it's not already released in the market, 3rd generation for that matter

I'm not sure I understand the point you are trying to make. Are you trying to say having NFC on a Lumia devices is useless if other phones don't have them? If that's indeed what you are referring to, then it's funny because it's like saying my smartphone's Bluetooth is useless because a Nokia torchlight device doesn't have Bluetooth connectivity.

Not all phones have NFC. You cannot blame a device for having a feature other devices do not have. If you come across another phone that has NFC, good for you because it makes it easier to share files; if not, use another means of connectivity.

Am sure you understand perfectly what I mean. Microsoft deliberately built restrictions for their device by preventing it from interacting with other brands that share same hardware feature i.e. Bluetooth, NFC.

I wonder how you didn't notice other points I put across in my precious post, are you a Microsoft shareholder or something?

Coz I know even an ardent lumia user will agree with these limitations & thus avoid comparisons with other mobile OS

Am currently on Etisalat 1 gig for 1k plan, it's for selected subscribers though. But the network speed ain't fun sometimes & can be annoying.

Thinking of glo 12gig for 5k plan since glo is the most stable of all but sadly it's validity is just 30 days.

Can a device truly be called a smartphone when you have to go thru hassles just for a simple download, has meager connectivity options i.e. Lack of NFC, Bluetooth, miscast with other devices as well as can't have true multitasking?

It's true some people are really enjoying their lumia devices but what the OP asked is what do you use it for that makes it enjoyable? Coz I'll really like to know too,
after a few days try, I was bored as hell.

Am getting some disappointing news from tech sites about the inability to disable windows update for windows 10 home users, knowing the data access situation in the country do you have an idea if updates take place only when connected to an Ethernet data source? Don't want to have all my small data zapped while tethering from my android device coz of an update I might not need.
