How backward compatible is the new OS? I hope it won't alter any of my already installed programs & files?

I do understand your emphatic stance, but I disagree with your choice of comparisons. You tend to confuse charity & business(money), no offense.

You probably have no idea the kind of over-head cost required to run these big malls & supermarkets. From power (diesel & generator maintenance) cost, staff remuneration, utility cost, security, rent etc These are all cash intensive ventures that is not helped by the ever present unfavourable business environment faced in the country. These superstores have their own challenges like the popular pidgin English proverbs goes "big man, big wahala". Let's not forget these big stores usually use standardized prices.

Imagine a situation whereby everybody that patronized a gala/go slow snack seller, kiosk owner, market stall seller etc paid without the usual haggling of price then we'll have an inflation crises in our hands that will make that of Zimbabwe look like child's play.

BTW who says you can't tip a road-side seller for impressive service received? At least then the seller is able to distinguish a tip from actual cost of the product.

This is the best time to secure a teaching job due to the long vacation that just started because it's this period that mobility of labour is at its peak in this sector.
I will advice you to prep your CV, don't just wait for adverts but dress up & visit the schools you wish to work in. The offers might not be immediate due to the closure & holiday but don't let that deter you. If you're diligent and God willing, you shall be getting various offers especially close to the resumption period. Cheers

Very several apps have live tiles on WP UI
You can pin several apps as you like to the home screen.

Pinning stuff on the home screen goes beyond just bookmarks but several important stuffs, like I wrote up there if you cared to read through at all!

Meanwhile I wasn't talking about the general OS.
I was talking about just the home screen my friend.

I get you though.. Still got my WP Launcher in titanium backup to have a watered down feel of the Windows home screen experience

It's obvious you haven't touched a WP in eons else you would know WP OS now sports a notification panel these days.

Unlike you, I've played with all OS recently and I actually know what I'm saying.

There is no doubt in this world, the most efficient home screen on any platform is the live tiles on WP.

Like I always say, you can hate on any WP aspect but the live tiles is something Android & iOS wish they had first.

I'm going to ask you this.

So are you're insinuating that you can view 30 plus live tiles on your phone? Oh please spare me the big big talk! Come to think of it, how many Windows phone apps come with active live tiles? Not just some coloured square icon, except you're mistaking the two.

Now you think Microsoft 'invented' flat icons too obviously you've not done your research.

BlackBerry OS & services is judged the most productive due to its global adoption by the corporate world, this you don't achieve just because you have a flat UI but the acquisition and operation of secured servers, enterprise services etc

What makes you think one's preference for a particular OS automatically translates to hating others? Those are fan boyish ideology and am way grown for that. I choose android because it gives me a generality of what all the others are lacking including an openly customizable interface & it's free from restrictions (upon my own money). These days almost everyone has played around with multiple OSes and stick to what they like, as at now android is ahead because it's adopted by the majority, love it or hate it.

FYI You can add a bookmark from opera browser/mobile, UC browser/web etc to the homepage on android. It's not like it's a novel feature of the browsers since like forever. If you didn't know, asking around would have informed you rather than assuming.

Tell me which OS can pin virtually any stuff to your homescreen, from bookmarks, to contacts from whatsapp, whatsapp groups, places on maps, novels, notes, folders from file manger.

Which OS can display info from any app on the homescreen?

Before you start screaming widget, how many widgets can you pin to your screen at a time?

Only unproductive people will hate on this homescreen or UI.
You're free to hate the OS, don't hate the homescreen abeg!

Home screens on android can contain almost all your widgets at a time, all you have to do is create another home page. It's not like you can see the entire contents on your Windows phone home screen all at once.

I understand why you talk down on widgets since you can never have it in the Windows phone UI, another plus for android.

Let's not forget Live wallpapers exclusive on android as well.

Did I mention the notifications panel the can be accessed anywhere on the android OS? I know Windows phone got a drop down panel but aside those boxes you ain't get shet unlike on android, that's got 'real time' notifications from apps & widgets. This feature is so cool even Apple had to copy it.
All the above features make the android home screen unique & loved despite it's not having your beloved boxes.

So you see my friend, all OS got about an edge or more over the others.

PS the most productive & undisputed UI goes to the BlackBerry OS, get your facts right

I strongly disagree with those insinuating that salaries are delayed due to the on going auditing exercise. This is a periodic exercise that's done for administrative purposes irrespective of old or new staff & has no bearing as to when payment vouchers are to be utilised & salaries released.

If I can get my history right, Sendo was bought by the original motorola which absorbed it & stopped using the Sendo brand name. Motorola on it's part was taken over by Google which subsequently sold it to Lenovo.

Indeed I've, for a couple of weeks but the GUI was horrible. Just had it for trials & I must say I wasn't impressed.
