Sky Blue: Can you at least try to be reasonable. There were 120,000 polling booths in the country. PDP is not the only party that knows how to rig, why are you so sure that CPC did not rig for Buhari too? Do you think all the polling booths are in cities? Do you know that most of the Nigerian population live in rural areas (quite a few of which might not be so easy to observe??) Some people are making exactly the same mistake online bystanders and observers made when doing analysis and forecast on the rerun gubernatorial election in Delta state. They thought everybody lives in cities. INEC has a website, we were given numbers to call before the election. If you have evidence to back up claims like the one in bold why didn't you call the INEC number? Why don't you post on their website and present the evidence for all to see? It is very easy to allege and yet we were all informed of the INEC numbers to call if we saw anything funny happening. Have you called them with your evidence and they said you should go and sit down?? DId you see the youtube evidence of madam rigger? Did you see CNN's evidence of underaged rigging? What did GEJ do about it? Please dont come and cry now. Does a country like Nigeria need polling booths in every kilometer? MAybe the 120,000 are for effective rigging. These elections should be recounted with finger print evidence. Obviously the riggers all around the country are too daft to know finger prints are unique to each individual and cannot be forged. That is the only identity we human have that cannot be forged. The joke is on PDP this time. |

purplelady: Them no selfish alone, them greedy. We have been sharing our wealth with them all this years, we want a share of our wealth now they are killing innocent souls. If they don't want Jonathan they should go and start building their groundnut pyramids. Wish they were still building those pyramid, them for no get energy for this nonsense.
They are enjoying our oil money that is why the rate of beggars there is so high, lazy Alimajiris. But you eat their food. Can you eat oil? . Every part of the country has its resources and what it contributes. As of now we are in NIGERIA. They are part of NIGERIA. So we all collectively decide our leaders, there is no rotation again. Presidency is a free for all. Survival of the fittest, only fairly. |

Sky Blue: Completely agree, criminality is criminality, no arguments from me. But do we shout "rigging rigging" and close our eyes to under age voters that seemed a very common phenomenom in the north? We can't be biased here. Was the election perfect? I wouldn't say so. Could it have been better? I would agree it could have been. Was it better than the last one we had? I will absolutely make that claim. It might simply be a matter of the riggers got outrigged by the better riggers, but I would say that the shouts of rigging have been over played. There were 120,000 polling booths around the country. What percentage of those got rigged (either by multiple thumb printing or under age voters) that we won't hear anything other than rigged elections? If we are going to be serious about this then results from booths in violation of electoral law can be disregarded to send a clear message, simple. People should push for that if they are serious. PDP is not the only party in Nigeria that knows how to rig. Let us stop being lackeys for people who might have rigged. As per the underaged voters, was it not GEJ's responsibility to ensure that adequate security and observer's are present? Instead observer's were arrested and the polling agents were left at the mercy of the civilians, because PDP had the whole rigging strategy worked out. If the argument is underaged voters, then the election should be cancelled and done right |

purplelady: I just learnt Dunamis church in Abuja has been burnt down and bombs are been used freely there too. It is time for our militant to fight for our right, enough of this nonsense. What rights? Are you the only one's living in Nigeria? If GEJ must win, then he must win fairly. He took part in trouncing rotational presidency? Or have you forgotten? |

Politics › Re: Elections Were Rigged; Why Are We Not All Protesting? by 2mch(m): 4:40pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
It is the collective duty of all Nigerians to protest. GEJ or not. PDP must learn that we will not accommodate rigging. Today we are happy? When they cheat us out of a good candidate tomorrow, we will scream foul. By then we will have lost all credibility! And will continue to have terrible leaders forced on us. If you cannot stand for the truth and defend democracy, then you and your generations are in trouble. If GEJ is going to win, he must win fairly. |

every finger print is unique. This should be very easy to verify. Why is GEJ dragging his feet? I dont think he is too confident. PDP must be stopped! If they cannot win an election convincingly then that party needs to be shut down. These people have committed criminal acts. It is time for Nigerians to react and fight back. Today we are happy because it is GEJ. Tomorrow, how will we react if we are cheated? Fair is fair! |
Politics › Enough Of The Blame Games; Gej Promised Free And Fair! Pdp Must Be Stopped! by 2mch(op): 4:17pm On Apr 18, 2011 |
GEJ promised free and fair. He would have won with out manipulation. The elections were obviously flawed. GEJ should keep his promises. A recount, and thumb print verification should be in order. I do not think Buhari has any responsibility to speak on the riots. GEJ should speak out and find a solution, if he thinks he really won. We have thrown out rotational presidency, so that post is a free for all. No one is entitled to the position. |
