Africa Prudential Plc one of Nigeria’s leading Registrars, today took a major step in its drive to lead innovation in the Nigerian Registrar business space, with the launch of the USSD code Product *4018# for shareholders in the country.
The product launch brought together stakeholders in the Nigerian capital and financial market ecosystem, and also representatives of the shareholder groups in the country.
Giving the opening remarks, the MD/CEO Africa Prudential Mr. Peter Ashade said, “The registrar business in Nigeria has evolved in recent times and this was highlighted during the last stakeholders' forum in 2017, where the changing roles of registrars in the capital market, was discussed”.
Mr Ashade stated that the product launch was a demonstration of the unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in the market.
Ashade noted that the Registrar USSD product was an attestation to Africa Prudential’s poise to delight customers and shareholders while contributing to market development.
Speaking Further, he asserted that the unveiling of the product was a confirmation of the determination of the company, to strengthen its leadership role in registrar business.
He said the hallmark of the USSD mobile service product launch was to bring registrar services closer to the doorstep of various client companies and shareholders.
The African Prudential CEO commended the Apex regulator the Securities and Exchange Commission, the board of trustees and the board of management for their support towards the launch of the product.
In a presentation at the launch, the Head Business Development, Africa Prudential Plc Mrs. Bridget Bayo-Ajayi gave a brief insight into the value of the product, describing the USSD code service as another game changer in the industry.

Mrs. Bridget Bayo-Ajayi explained that to access the product, the customer is required to dial the USSD Code *4018# and within 60 seconds, registration will be done.
Shareholder group leaders Chief Timothy Adesiyan and Mrs. Bisi Bakara lauded the efforts of Africa Prudential Plc, believing the innovative USSD product will challenge other registrars in the market. Any likely implication on the share price movement? |

samzepaparazi: I dont think the bulls of transcorp are over.
I think the case of transcorp is just pure profit taking.
I dont expect it to fall below N2.
Ordinarily, the price is not suppposed to fall, but some set of people are bent on crashing it.
They keep forcing the price down to the least price possible even when indications show that bids are in favour of price increase.
I hope they finish collecting their profits by tomorrow and allow the market breathe.
I also dont expect the price to crash 3 days in a row and continue.
Tomorrow will be green Still hopefull Moreover, I observed that even when transcorp was at full offer, about 400 million units were still bought, apparently the buyers are privvy to some info not yet in the public domain. |

onegentleguy: I said it here days back that oil and gas coys will surely be one of the the core benefactors given the present scheme of things. ...I recall I mentioned CONOIL and ETERNA then. ...Both have since gained over 40% with still much room for more. ...No doubt the current trend favors them. They are relatively healthy on a peer to peer and sector comparison basis hence the absolute need to reprise. ...But then again, what do I know. For some stocks, I have totally decided to go to sleep while allowing Mr TIME the complete liberty to do his reprising job. Ok thanks and well noted, let me simply sit tight on my units and observe from the sidelines. |

Seems Eterna plc gained massive 10% and still closed on full bid with little volume traded. Have they won their fuel subsidy case against FG or is the price of crude oil positive for it? |

Watch for continuation and fri closing Like seriously? You mean their is still upside potential in these tier one banks? I wonder how far they can still go given the massive rallies they have enjoyed YTD. I feel tier two banks have more upward movement to give than the FUGAZ. We watch as events unfold on the floor. |

ukay2: Please am still waiting for responses.......Thank you. On Afriprud, substancial part of their investment income arise from TBILL and their 365 days tenored bills obtained at the highest TBILL rate (22-23%) ever in the Nigerian Tbill history will be maturing by year-end and first quarter next year. Their dividend payment pattern has always been 60 percent of their EPS (39kobo already certain based on q3 EPS OF 65kobo). Their 2017 q3 eps of 65kobo already surpassed FYE 2016 EPS OF 52kobo. Certainly, good dividend payment lies here but am not sure of capital appreciation. Due diligence advised. |

FA & TA no reach this one. This is a classic stock for patient investors. Sell and move one if you are looking for a quick buck.
I repeat - follow the money.
I now know a thing or two about following money.
BTW - I am a verrrrrry long term investor so my ranting above may not work for everyone. For all I care, who bought and who sold 11billion units of transcorp should not be a concern. The major point is that FX liquidity has improved, gas supply has improved, FG is gradually settling their debts to gencos Mr brent crude is headed for 70dollars, recession is over and transcorp is poised to report an impressive result (profit after tax) for FY 2017 compared to loss after tax reported last year. So why all this fuss about cross deal. Lets watch and see. |
