Fight Boko Haram, unless you are Boko haram.

Dont spend your resources fighting your people who are not terrorists.

No, it does not make u perfect automatically.

And that is the reason why u re a public figure, if not for anything, @least "diplomacy should be your watch word.

One person can insult a public servant and no one gets to hear about it, but once the reverse becomes the case, he'll will be let loose,

Public office holders has to always guard their utterances.

Adeshina asked us to go and fight the vandals.

Kachikwu told us that he ain't no magician.

Amaechi almost beat up someone interviewing him on a radio program (live)

Pmb told us that people who can afford forex can afford forex to pay their skul fees, then an SA to the presidency on media to us how he got $8k from CbN to pay her dota's fees.

But Pmb saw it that Comon nigerians who can't get forex from same CbN the SA go his, is a tough luck.

All these were done in the open.

If u could do all that, what do u expect people u re leading to do?

It has always been leadership by example.

I get your point. You don't ask people to do one thing and then you, as a leader, do the opposite.

But my point is this: so called leaders and public figures are drawn up from so called common people. If they couldn't guard their utterances when they were common people, they would find it difficult to do so when they become public figures. A person who is quick to insults, destructively criticize and castigate other people in his daily dealings with people should not be expected to guard his utterances when he becomes a pubic figure. Unfortunately, Nigerians are fond of this bad behaviour. So we shouldn't expect public figures drawn from amongst us to be any different. They can only hide it for so long and then explode one day.

If we're all truthful to ourselves we will agree that Nigeria has become frustrating and unbearable for over 60% of the population. It is only natural for one to speak up about the ills of the society.

It was Abike Dabiri's role to reassure Nigerians in Diaspora that things can get better not try to do a clapback cos I didn't see where the dude was being rude.

Good response to an assylum seeker. There is nothing wrong with the second response. The young man didn't understand the message Dabiri was trying to pass. Why didn't he keep mum then ?It's simple, you don't need to be in Nigeria to contribute your own quota. It's simple to spot the dish washers abroad.

you are either naïve or you know nothing about leadership... A celeb should always behave upright because he or she has influence on people. A celeb is a role model hence should always act right cos so many ppl are looking upp to him/her. A govt official should always be diplomatic. When you take up that role, you r taking a huge responsibility

She is simply saying nobody is forcing anyone to return soon to Nigeria if that person is not comfortable coming home on his or her own accord. Nobody is forcing anyone.

No! That's the way you understood it.
My dear, there are basic skills required for such positions Such is Tolerance. People will always portray characters/attitudes that can lead you to revealing the real you but, that ability to tolerate can water down every every. If she can't address the young man in a diplomatic way, how then will she excel in her position?

Seeing so many comments here makes me feel sorry for Nigeria. We really deserve the kind of leaders we have had since 1999. Abike is Buhari's SSA on diaspora. What's so hard in saying I can assure you the govt is working really hard to allay your fears sir, bla bla bla... If she was campaigning, would she have answered him that way? Arrogance everywhere and some of you are shamelessly defending them.

You see how u re talking now? I am either naive or ignorant, right? This is the same trait u will take along with you when you become a leader tomorrow, either as a celeb or government official. That is my point.

You don't have to be a celeb or a govt official before u learn how to be polite and diplomatic in ur response. If you re not used to it as a common person with little or no public attention, you won't be used to it when you become a public figure and bombarded with criticisms left, right and centre. You can only pretend for so long, before you explode one day. Ask Sunday Oliseh and Adams Oshomoele.
