WafuB17 Semifinals: Nigeria vs CIV

Kickoff time: 4pm (Naija), 3pm in Ghana.

Nigeria U17 Starting XI today vs CIV U17 (WafuB U17 Semis)

Two changes made.

#9 Kevwe Iyede makes way from #8 Abubakar Abdullahi in the first XI.

And #10 Ozor Okeke makes way for #4 Basil Mbata in midfield.
Okere will be the driving and creative force today and Oyebanjo will be the ball winning machine.

Interesting switches.

I doubt that, no professional player will demand for such knowing to well he has to work hard to earn a place in the team

He should be recalled and given a test in any of the teams friendlies in the next international break and if he performs well he should be in the team
want him in the team, definitely good enough to start if he bring his A game

atleast for now he is better and deserves a spot in the bench than off form awaziem. Also a possible replacement for aging balogun

I don’t think so unless you want the team to be deployed for defensive football

To me our best midfield trio should be ndidi(dm) iwobi(cm) and aribo(am)

Then if he re able to get any of olise and eze then one of them should take aribo’s place as an AM

CIV leads 1-0 via an early PK. Scored in under 2mins. Not the start we hoped for.

Game at 10mins now.

There have been reports of flood on the streets of Abidjan after few days of continuous rain. What exactly is CAF plan for next year’s Afcon? For the players to play inside the rain?
Every enlightened person knows that Africa is largely tropical... This time of the year is when it rains the most..

CAF are just trying to sound woke to please the European by moving the afcon to June..
We will see how it pans out next year...
