How are Azubuike's stats laughable when he's been in brilliant form since he returned to Turkey following his Egyptian misadventure?

Only thing laughable here are your comments with nothing to back yourself up. cheesy

Thank you for telling him that naija could only take bronze with our biggest stars them just dey put am for only Ivory Coast head ,when we get star players who be Ivory Coast? Na after 2006 Ivory Coast begin get better players ,naija don get star players since 2000

I remember Ghana naija 2000 ,where star studded naija team failed to beat Senegal to make the final

No African team came close to that 2006 naija team even the Egypt of this world but wetin dem achieve nothing ,(bronze medal )

Point of correction sir ,a less talented squad didn't win it 2015 ,but a drogba less squad

How can you call a squad that include ,tiene,Kalou, doumbia, yaya toure,Kolo toure, bailly, aurier, serie die ,na that one you call less talented squad because no drogba ?

Bros abeg fear God

now I am convinced you dont know what you are talking about.

in 2000 we beat Senegal in the Quater finals and South Africa in the Semi.

in 2002 we lost to Senegal in the Semi Final. That Senegalese team was stronger than out team and they beat us with 10 men! They went on to beat France in the World cup a few months later and reach the Quarter Final of the World Cup.

When did you start watching the Super Eagles if i may ask? My first AFCON was 1988.

As far as playing personnel is concerned no team in Africa has greater strength in depth than Nigeria. The ability to harness this advantage to devastating effect is perhaps where a problem may arise. Especially if Rohr's last squad announcement is used a basis of predicting what's to come in the near future.

The Ivorian golden generation of the late 2000s had the same problem. How a team comprising Drogba, Yaya, Kalou, Kolo, Zokora, Tiote (RIP), Gervino, Eboue, Doumbia, Bony, Romaric, Tiene, etc etc big big names kept under achieving still remains a mystery.
Ivory Coast have bench/youth players that would walk into our first 11

That tells us that big names alone don't play football.
Going into the 2006 AFCON Nigeria had the best assemblage of quality players: Okocha, Kanu, Yakubu, Martins, Osaze, Utaka, Nsofor, Yobo, Odiah, Young Mikel and Taiwo. Yet we only came back with bronze medal.

Drogba's generation of Elephants couldn't win the AFCON but a less talented squad won it in 2015 for them. The Nigerian squad that won the AFCON in 2013 was not the best on paper going into that AFCON. Zambia and Cameroon were never tipped as favorites when they won the AFCON in 2012 and 2017 respectively.

If you have a rich assemblage of players fantastic but the team still needs to work very hard to achieve results.

A merely descent team that is well coached and well managed can win the AFCON.

Ivory Coast had a stronger squad than naija in AFCON 2006. They were the favorites to win that game

We did not. Their team qualified for the 2006 World Cup from a group including Cameroun and Egypt. We had the likes of Zimbabwe and Angola and we didnt. Thats some evidence we did not have a better team.

The points you try to make are baffling. It winds me up arguing with people that comment like this.

French league starter ,German league starter and Seria A starter will make eagles midfield with ease ,only ndidi iwobi and mikel are better than those players

Not john ogu etebo and co

If you have a player starting for sassuolo and Mainz he will make our team.

Gbamin starts at CB or RB.
Sangare/Boga benches Etebo/Onazi or whomever that pairs Ndidi.

Lowly sasuolo but a stoke city player is a starter in your team and you can talk ?

See as you dey disgrace your self with inferiority complex

Una prefer players from Israel and championship than Seria A ,you call sassuolo a lowl team ,is watford and Brighton not a small team in the Epl ?

Mtscheew

If boga na naija e go don get 20 appearance at least .

Thank God for ekong omeruo Ola aina our defensive pair playing in a better league .

At least I can't boast of only Ndidi and iwobi only

Osimhen and awoniyi is our next player to join a better league

Is Sergie airier average ?

You call ziyech who played for Ajax not average but you think zaha and Nicolas Pepe are average ,listen to your self

Morocco only world class player is Mehdi banathia

Agree with you about Senegal .

If you see truth dey talk
Nicolas Pepe just start making limelight this season, bros he's just average and about let him achieve consistency first, Zaha 8 goals 2 assist in 25 games not bad but I assure you Kalou in his prime did better for Chelsea that's above average numbers not world class, fine Nigeria may not have players of their ilk but their stats is nothing to reach orgasm for

Has Gbamin been better than Omeruo or Ekong this season?
Is he more experienced than Omeruo and Ekong?
How many Caps does he have?

If Boga were eligible for Nigeria he will be in competition with Iwobi. I know who i will pick.

Sangare is of course no match of Ndidi, happy you know that. But he is also not as good as Etebo. He is on the same level as Mikel Agu and Esiti. Prove me wrong if I am.
