Onyekuru is not getting dropped for Samu. They have different profiles. Samu will be competing with Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu for a place.
I'd prefer if Samu played at the Afcon. Let's not act like the gap in quality between Simon, Kalu and Samu is that large (if any sef tbh).
If Samu is playing for the U20, it'll be/should be because Rohr is doing that fraud of a coach called Aigbogun a favor.

I think Ahmed, Kalu and Simon are the ones competing for the LW because Samu and Kalu are RWs. Though I noticed Rohr tried Ahmed Musa and Onyekuru on the RW.

That is it. Just like the favor done to u23...Our current u20 is surprisingly below par...with all the talent all over, look at what Aigbogun presented at AFCON U20...From the grapevine...Chukwueze has already submitted his photocopied passport to u20 handlers....

There is nothing wrong with the impact sub.

In Tunisia 94, Amuneke did not play any game except the final where he scored 2 goals.

In Nigeria/Ghana 2000, Aghahowa did not see action until the quarter final where he scored two late goals and saved us from elimination.

If we want to change a game from the bench, Samu offers something different.
the issue is that the impact sub is a position that will most likely go to Onyekuru, considering hos showing in our last two games, which are crucial games pretty-AFCON

Aguero was playing for Athletico Madrid,Argentina brought him to dominate and win...he delivered...

Messi was playing for Barcelona,Argentina brought him to dominate and win...he delivered

Chukwueze should go and dominate and win...that is my interest...WIN U20 THAT WE HAVE NEVER WON...

There are other wingers in SE...u20 has no alternative..

Secondly Ghana is always making mouth..that they are the only African nation to win u20...let us win it and shot them up FOREVER that side grin.though they have never won Olympic football

True but Onyekuru like Musa is a wide forward unlike Samu, Simon and Kalu who are wingers. Different roles.
Unless Rohr is content with taking just Musa as a wide forward.

Aigbogun will have no excuses this time around. The guy will have Samu, Kingsley Michael and many other foreign pros.
Let's hope he doesn't flop this time or pick grandpa's only to end up playing rubbish.

Seriously, Chuks should go to the world cup.. it would benefit him and Nigeria more...

He is still young.. there's plenty of afcon for him to play later on...Again,the u-20 world cup is one of the biggest hunting ground for football talents.. assuming Villarreal get relegated,a good showing at the WC would send a clear message to Chuks potential suitors about how good he is...

And finally, Nigeria needs to win the u-20 world cup badly..we can't have 5 u-17 world cup and an Olympic gold medal and no u-20 world cup... Chuck's inclusion would no doubt be a major boost for the team..

If you think Rohr would drop one of his boys for Chuks, you are mistaken....

Chuks will get suitors whether he goes to the WC or not. He is one of the hottest youngsters in La liga.

I think it will be better Chuks go for the world cup...
because if you watched the crappy team Agbiogun paraded in last AYC and still try create excuse that failure to carry some of his over age players cost him the cup made many Nigerians worried....

Samu and many foreign born lads bernet and Co should be infused into the team to prevent the lazy coach from disgracing us

All these players are considered wingers in the eyes of Rohr and he plays them in the wings he feels is best for his 4-4-2 formation.

If he considers to switch formation to 3 at the back, then we can figure who will make his team.

Getting the right suitors is what matter more..He could join Barca or Madrid tomorrow and be starting from the bench... Going to d world cup and putting in a good showing will further increase his worth and make his suitors understand how well they can utilise him...

I understand the argument.

What is the point of youth football? To provide players for the senior team.

If a young player can already compete at senior level, there is no need playing him with the youths.

If there was no AFCON, i will support that he goes to strengthen the under 20 but senior football is more important and Samu offers something that is not currently available in the super eagles.

Getting suitors is more important for players from unknown leagues.

Playing in La liga ensures that Samu has a global audience. He is already been monitored by the likes of Bayern and Athletico without going to the WC. I do not think the WC offers him anything in that regard.

However, if Nigeria goes far and Samu emerges as one of the players of the tournament. His value might go up. Do you trust the current coaching staff to take us far even if they get the best players.

Samu offers something that simply does not exist in the super eagles right now. Natural left footed attacking players offer something different.

When Onyekuru, Musa and Kalu trouble the Barca defence in a competitive game, we can talk about upgrade. Those players are not obviously better.

Are you saying Musa needs to trouble Barca defence to prove that he is a better player after showing the world at two WC what he can do.

Pls Ahmed Musa na baba o compares to Oyekuru,Kalu,Simon and young Samu

No... I totally lost respect for pinnick with this Agbiogun appointment and taking of super Eagles match to Delta State even with the gory stadium.

He clearly shows that he is biased fellow and ridden with sentiment.

Laliga player of the week nominees.

Chuks would have to beat off competition from the trio of Daniel Parejo who bagged an assist in Valencia’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid and Pablo Sarabia who also scored one and assisted another in Sevilla’s win over Alaves, whilst Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal completes the pairing.

Chuks stands tall here considering his rating, stats and calibre of players he faced, plus the club's(Barcelona) status.

Age grade football means little to the true giants of the game. I couldn't care less who won any age grade tournament, for me that's irrelevant. Identifying materials for the senior team is the ultimate objective of that tournament, in fact the ONLY objective for me.

I will pick 1 AFCON title over 100 U-20 world cups.

Without mincing words, as a winger or wing back, SiMoses might never get to achieve dis little feat throughout his laliga career. When I read people comparing Chuks, Musa and SiMoses as wingers I chuckle at their ignorance. Musa(with all due respect) and SiMoses are headless fowls as long as the position "winger" is concerned. That said, musa is a class act as a striker and a WF, same cant be said of Moses Simon though.
