Please oooooooo, anyone have any idea where I can buy good compression socks in Lagos? Ordered from Amazon through my Aunt, but the socks refused to follow her to Naija o.
My legs and ankles swell up to the size of baby pigs in a sack, don't know if I'd cope without the compression.

@chloe, so how do I book the ticket then. Dh is etihad fan and this one that abu dhabi's POE isn't really friendly, shud I go use emirates then. Etihad n emirates fee are almost same.

@sugah, u be big madam now. Black market for 8k dollars is 2560000 while PTA is 1600000. 1m difference. I bow to u ooooo.

Naaaah, as a typical igbo babe im hustling pta like mad. My dh na hausa man wey no like wahala.

As for abu dhabi poe, so far its just one isolated incidence of a preggo mama travelling with her certificate.. Even jfk for send her back too. My dh is a fan of Etihad too and so far for our waka waka na only Abu dhabi we don pass with absolutely no questions asked. But that was for vacation so im still interested in reading POE stories of preggo mamas.
Cindermum passed there recently and had no issues.

If you want to use airbnb, ensure you tell your host you are pregnant and will have a baby at the latter end of your stay. I used airbnb on my first missionary journey and they host midstay started saying how she doesn't like children in her apartment.

If you want to open an account with wellsfargo they are giving $100. Here's the link

https://bonusoffer.wf.com/GET100
It requires US tax payer ID to qualify and so many other requirements. And there is monthly fee if one doesn't have a certain amount.

Won't it be too painful for the child by the time one returns in like a month/2?

God help us sha

I would advice u have d circumcision done when u get back, I had to redo mine when I came back cos der was excess skin still covering it, but if you must don't let dem do it immediately I think that's what went wrong with mine, he was just one day old and barely had much to cut So try waiting like one week before doing it.

I really hope you get PTA cos we bought black market and trust me I still dwell on the money lost. We would ve had more cash now if the useless banks we use gave us when we desperately needed it. Now I'm always angry to spend the money. U still ve sometime and hopefully things would ve gotten better.

That pta is giving me sleepless nights but dh has made up his mind he is buying black market.

My dear, na that one being dey fear me....cos I witnessed my lil nephews circumcision they did when he was almost two months... The boy that that did his before my nephew (some days old) stopped crying as soon as his mom put her boobs in his mouth and he fell asleep....but my nephew kept pushing the breast off to continue the wailing and wailed the whole day.

Same thought ran thru my mind as well. I'm sure there are specialists who wld be able to do it to one's satisfaction. A month/2 after a child is born;to me circumcision then wld be painful. #mythought#

But it's a Naija card nah so they must treat it with Naija time

You need to time your spending well
I used to always pay some mins to 5pm Houston time, almost midnight Naija time

Then I continue shopping and pay afterwards cuz the limits would have reset at past five which was past midnight Naija time

That way I killed two birds with one stone

Thanks for the heads up. Gtbank never used Naija time so, I just assumed everybody else would tow the same line. I'll just stick with gtbank when their rates become more favorable.

You may try to hasten your return to 2-3weeks if you will be doing the circumcision here. The earlier the better but the pain of doing it in US and re-doing it inNaija will be much I guess.

Its usually stated in the listing if it's family/kid friendly or not.just the way you check for washer/dryer,bathroom essentials, etc

If I tell you my mum wasn't asked to show any docs now person go jump out of nowhere to shine.

Let her go with cover letter even your wedding pictures and birth certificate too. 'Its better to be over prepared than under prepared "

Querylady24, dnt worry it's well with us.

@all, pls I'm buying my ticket on Tuesday at etihad's office but I read that the poe is first at abu dhabi den jfk wch is my final destination. Is it adviseable I stick with etihad or migrate to emirates cos i no get liver oooo.

2. Since i'll b goin to houston for childbirth but will first stay with my brother in NY for a week, do I have to display my houston ticket then at the POE

Pls avoid Abudhabi poe if you can. They get craze for head especially at their agriculture except you arnt bringing food stuffs. This is a poe where indomie onions was seized and 4 litres of palm oil was not. My 2 cents!
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by Omodadi2: 2:03am On May 01, 2016
@evemama, your mum needs not a cover letter from you. Let her just go with copies of the documents you went with during yours and your visa page. She should be fine.

I was able to get at the health plus opposite vfs office in lekki. It had two in the pack. Hubby got it for 8k though. Used it and it was perfect as I had a very looooooong flight time and not a single swelling.
