Just like dat? Oga!

Come drop something joooor

Give us tips, tell us about ur city.
And tricks in interviews.

How u funded u Blocked acct and d rest.

Lol. My Oga no vex ooo grin

I'm studying in Trier, small city but has its own perks. Easy to get around and cost of living is quite affordable. As usual with every other city, the more German you can speak, the better it is job wise.

My interview was just the same as what most guys go through here. Know your course modules, understand your Bsc Project and be ready to discuss it, information regarding your intended city and Germany as a whole, most importantly--- be confident and enjoy the interview.

I funded with Form A. Get an invoice from your school showing a breakdown of the funds and it will be fine.

All in all, the system here works in a certain way and you have to conform to it so as to enjoy both studies and social life.

Best of luck!!

Cheers.

PS : One thing I will love to advise guys coming in soon is to try as much as possible to come with few cash!! Doesn't matter that you have money in blocked account because that money goes faster than you think and your first few weeks/months here will involve a lot of spending. Bring as much as you can with you and manage it well, so you don't start looking for a job immediately you arrive forgetting your studies comes first.

Hi,
1. Type and make three copies of your SOP and you would be fine. That was what I did and I wasn't asked to write another one on the day of my interview.
2. Just a copy of the blocked account opening slip or details (depending on the bank you opened with) would suffice.
3. Yes, the primary school certificate and 2 copies thereof, will also be requested from you.
I wish you the very best!

Thank you for the response, GOD bless...

Please check your email, will send you a om now...

I wish you the best

I don't think the primary school certificate is necessary. Someone's who's now in Munich says he didn't submit his.

I know some of those old stuffs re not necessarily required.

It still beats me how my own got missing last year when my primary school results re still intact.

Na wia I dey look for one yeye Firs work.

Once you make use of the invoice with other documents asked by the bank, they know how to sort through all that. It's been done.

TUM?
I think their deadline (May 31st) has passed. You should probably prepare your documents and apply for next summer/winter intake.

Okay, I understand what the problem is now. Thank you so much for your help. Please when is the next application gonna be opened?

Have you gained admission at TUM already?

Thank you.

Hello Nairalanders and seniors in the house, good evening. This is my first post here I would love to discuss my plight at the German consulate in Lagos yesterday and ask for useful suggestion.I booked for a schengen visa interview for a conference to last for three weeks, came all the way from Gombe to Lagos, got to Lagos on Sunday. Woke up and left as early as 5am just to meet up with the interview, but I bet you the traffic yesterday was horrific, as my friend who took me there suggested we take brt buses unknown to him they didn't work yesterday, After the Hassles took a bike for about 3k just to meet up,got to the embassy around 8:50am for an 8:30 appointment was sent back to rebook on the basis that I was so late.
I was devastated, because I was told I would be only be able to book after a period of three weeks.I was so frail as the conference would have commenced by August 10th and considering the time frame I won't be able to make it.

Please seniors and fellow nairalanders is there anything I could do in this situation to rebook.or to be considered.Your useful inputs would be highly appreciated.

My advice for upcoming people to be interviewed, sleep or book a place near Walter carrington to avoid story that touches.

My brother in the lord. I would advise you re-book ooo. They are very much strict with their time. After three weeks, no more no less. I don't know if its possible they reconsider you but this is the phrase
" It is irrelevant if you had shown up
or not. The waiting period is mentioned in the
appointment booking system and cannot
be cancelled"....

I guess you have to wait and rebook after three weeks.

Good evening everyone,I sent my documents to Uni-assist and got this response.

Copy of the documentation of your studies in the original language, issued by your university. This documentation must cover the entire time period over which you studied; the documentation may not contain any time gaps.

Please note: You handed in the required document. Unfortunately, it is not sufficiently authenticated and does not show original stamp and original signature. Therefore this document cannot be accepted in this form.

Copy of university degree certificate in the original language

Please what do I do?I sent certified true copies not the original documents

Thanks @ instructor, the concern is that three weeks from yesterday makes the waiting period it to end by july 31st and after that day i might not even get available appointment that week as schengen visa takes 14 days to process and the conference commences August 10th though is it funded by the DAAD. The security operative I met suggested I mail them

Yea...sure.
Mail them and explain things to them in a way they will understand and probably tender justice with mercy. There is no harm in trying, you never can tell. Let them know your source and when you got to lagos and as well the date the conference is scheduled to start.

For me, I would suggest you give it a shot. Just my opinion though.

Well, haven't used that before though. May be it was not adequately stamped and signed. I believe people who used this medium will be experienced enough to deduce what actually cause or probably went wrong.

School not embassy.
I dnt know how the invoice will look like but the one I got from an Australian school, it's just a letter head with break down on ur tuition fee.
If ur school can provide dat for u, u re good for Form A.

I really wish ppl who used that form A to come explain how the stuff will look like cos Zenith bank form A is 347 as of yesterday.
