Odunharry:

Drain the battery and charge again. Check for apps you don't use that run on the background too.

Unstable network too can be the cause
Thanks

Did you correct your APN? Did the issue persist?

It's just advisable not that it's necessary. After a major update, it's advisable to do a factory reset because most of the issues some of us encounter here after a major upgrade can be fixed with a factory reset.

But, if you update and don't face any, there's no need for that.

What opinion was stated in the guy's post pls? The post clearly shows he isn't knowledgeable about Xiaomi gadgets. I don't just post/assume until I've done my assignment. If the guy had read the last 200 pages of this thread he won't make that mistake. A post that doesn't show you're informed about a particular topic is not worthy to be called an opinion please. It's just a display of ignorance. undecided

Explore your phone, nothing special to be done. Go to settings - mi account and sign up, best to use your email to sign up. From there you can download themes and customise as you want if you are into that. Lastly don't forget to check jboixxx compilation list.

No it won't, provided you are not moving from stable to developer rom or vice versa.

GrandMufti, Parksg, and Jboixxx... U don see my update install o.. Their daddy. Still on MIUI 10 though. I cleared data for system updater (which I have been doing before now), but tried something new again. I plugged it into a power source this time before I attempted to update from my downloaded package

Do the normal update then and reboot several times afterwards

After I updated last night I noticed finger print was slow in responding.. I just left the phone alone for like 30 mins and voila all was back to normal

Its 600+ MB but in your case you have not been updating previous updates and hence you are getting a kinda bulk update now.

Someone should suggest me a good HDD brand. thanks

Internal: Western Digital, HGST, Toshiba, Seagate in that order

Portable: Western Digital. Others are Transcend, Samsung, Toshiba, Seagate, Adata.

Original ones o.

You should also consider getting a SSD instead, though more expensive, but faster and more reliable.

We go upgrade when we decide to upgrade. In Gptech's format, I go soon order new case self and backup battery.
