This is the trash from the OP below and how it concern Yoruba, tell your kinsmen to stop screaming Yoruba everywhere. Also, this forum is not your village square where no one is allowed to have a contrary opinion. This is nairaland. Hypocrite.

From the OP:

Continued Marginalisation Of Igbos Will End Nigeria by HurtgenForest: 11:49am
Just look all around you, if you are honest you will see how the Igbos are tremendously marginalised in this country.

The way Nigeria is designed is to eternally favour the northern hegemony headed by the hausa-fulani ably supported by the Yoruba

All he( OP) wrote were all true. Are Yorubas not the highest supporters of Buhari and his agenda today?

Indeed facts are stubborn and I shall fail not provide you with hard truths for you to ruminate on about your Yoruba tribe.

Remember, from 1967 to 1979 Yorubas with their Northern masters were in charge of the country. Yorubas played the second-fiddle to their Northern masters insofar they got undue advantages and benefits at the expense of Igbos and Easterners.

Bloodthirsty Yorubas and their partners in crime positioned themselves in airports and railway stations hounding and killing off innocent Eastern passengers.

Immediately after the 1967-70 civil war, Awolowo by virtue of his position, superheading the federal government fininance, defrauded Easterners of their hard earned money in banks and building societies.

In 1972 Gowon and Awolowo proceeded to enact and enforce the Indigenization decree which led to the collapse of the Nigerian economy.

Yorubas and their Northern masters used the proceeds of the money stolen from Easterners to acquire virtually all the British establishment and industries.

Yorubas and their cotravellers used the stolen funds to buy up the numerous companies established by the colonial masters, looting the companies and rendering them bankrupt. And that was the beginning of the collapse of the Nigerian economy. Till date the economy is yet to recover.

Instead of developing the Eastern region after the war subsequent evil governments diverted Gowon’s 3Rs to your regions for rapid development while neglecting and under-developing the Eastern region.

https://www.nairaland.com/2529108/yorubas-wrote-british-colonize-scared

Outlined below are the indisputable cases of Yoruba ass-licking their Northern masters:

1* Afonja betrayed his Yoruba people and sold them as perpetual slaves to the Fulani; Ilorin still remains an Islamic caliphate till date.

2* Justice Sowemimo, a Yoruba judge was used by the Hausa-Fulani slave masters to send Chief Awolowo to jail.

3* Chief Awolowo was an unyielding advocate of true federalism but suddenly changed as soon as he was appointed the Minister of local Government and Finance and succeeded in enslaving the Yoruba race .

4* General Oladipo Diya, a Yoruba man was used by his Hausa-Fulani slave masters to batter NADECO, Afenifere, Odua Movement and other Yoruba struggle groups.

5* Yoruba Obas collected bribe from their Hausa-Fulani slave masters instead of fighting for the unjust murder of their "beloved son" MKO Abiola as confessed by Oba Akiolu.

6* The same MKO Abiola financed the coup that sacked his brother Ernest Shonekan and brought in his slave master General Abacha - an Hausa-Fulani to power.

7* MKO Abiola and other Yoruba elders even went to Dodan Barracks to submit themselves as perpetual slaves to General Sani Abacha for overthrowing their brother. It's so pathetic!

8* A small boy Yakubu Gowon used Pa Awolowo as slave to cling on to power against Southern interest.

9* Slavish cum coward coup plotters - Oladipo Diya, Abdulkarim Adisa

Oladipo Diya - the greatest general in the history of Yoruba peole, knelt, wept and begged Abacha for his miserable life:

Always sentimental ,that is your nature. Sentimentality leads to mendacity.

Awolowo resigned from Gowon's government in June 1971 so how he could have anything to do with the 1972 Indigenization decree is a great mystery to many of us who hear this oft repeated fiction

!967 -1979 was a Military government how this was a Yoruba collaboration is another mystery

Go and find out about Jerome Udoji or Ukpabi Asika if you do not know ask your elders.Ask them who was the first president of the Nigerian Stock Exchange> Ask them if he was Yoruba?
Now you talk about a "small boy" I thought we were discussing facts but typically you revert to sentiment .That is ya way.

The fact is in any civilian and democratic dispensation Eboes line up to be boyboys for the North while the Yorubas have been uncompromising in going into opposition.
It is clear the Obasanjo military rule of 1979 neither had the support nor benefitted Yorubas because in 1999 they rejected him while the Eboes supported him widely so what ae we talking about?

Ndigbo had always supported all Nigerian presidents.

From Obasanjo to Yaradua and then to GEJ, they all won elections in Igboland.

Just because you( SW and North) hated GEJ for giving the East equity by taking away the excesses you had enjoyed since 1970, would not make Igbos to stop supporting him.

Buhari is hated in Igboland, because we see him for who he is ie, a tribaliist who hates Ndiigbo.

Your marginalisation and slavery will continue for the next 200years.

Keep begging us for your freedom.

Unfortunately we are not done with you. When we are, we shall grant you your freedom on our terms.

For now, keep rocking your servitude to the rest of Nigeria. You are only paying for the sins of your forefathers and repaying the indebtedness of your grandfathers to us.

Bunch of whining bush babies.

Who cares whether you are marginalised or not? When you teamed up with Balewa against the Yorubas, were you marginalised? When you teamed up with Shagari were you marginalised? When you got the dubious court injunction to stop the announcement of June 12 result, were you marginalised? when you were organising 5million man match for Abacha, were you marginalised?

E no go better for marginalisation. Just change the word from marginalisation to slavery. Asan omo ale jatijati

You can't give anyone freedom, when you are a slave, and yet to free yourselves. You are at best vassals of the Hausa-Fulani, as they have commited you into eternal servitude by forcefully annexing your lands in Kwara and converting your people to Islam.

By serving as willing launch pads and vassals to the Hausa-Fulani, in their attempt to spread their tentacles into Igboland.

You even serve as their mouth piece, forever defending their cause through the use of your media propaganda machine.

They lack tact and diplomacy and they only respond to harsh words. Unfortunately for them, they are not well tutored in the art of usage of bad words.

That was how we allowed them to say all sort of rubbish about yorubas for 2years on NL fom 2009 to 2011. It was a very grave mistake, which must never be repeated again. Since 2012 they have been on the receiving end of the seeds of hatred they have sown, watered, germinated and that has yielded multiple fruits.

Lol! Oyigbo is but a name of a local government, the Asa and Ndoki towns retained their traditional names. The kings remain Ezes, they remain Igbos.

The Ijaws renamed Oyigbo by serving as willing vassals to the Hausa-Fulani invasion of Igboland, but Oyigbo remain fully under Igbo control and the locals there can rename it any time they like, but had gotten used to the name. It's not the same as what happened in Kwara.

You are not even ashamed of yourself. ''They only renamed our town, they did not change the title of our king''- Even a Neanderthal man will never utter such. Can someone tell this toddler that it was Oyigbo town was renamed before the LG was created.

Which is worse off. THe history of a place was wiped off overnight by change of name and you are here celebrating it.

Bros if i tell you you are an half baked ariara market tutored graduate, you will get angry. Which book did you read that change the word Ilorin for Kwara? Maybe the one that was written by your tribalistic bigot that as never honoured with Nobel Laureate award.

Mind you, Ilorin was an internal insurrection of amalgamation of yoruba muslims and refugees. Read up and learn the culture of people that have stories, history and culture to share with the world. I never came across a single book that described how your forefathers even conquered an anthill, talkless of a village.
