Instead of all these billionaires to band together and Hijack the Nigerian league and the CAF Champions League they are going to put more money into the English league that s already filthy rich.. angry

The EPL was a product of some investors injecting money into the league.. Now its attractive to the world.

With Nairabet, GLO and co all there now, how about we fix our league. angry
What about profitability? Will they be able to recoup their investment? How many Nigerian league matches do you watch?

It is not possible. Unless he is ready to spend a lot, I mean a lot of $billions.

Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov who is worth $15 billion by Forbes has 30% share.

The major shareholder American Stan Kroenke has 65%.
dongote is the 51st richest in the world while kronke is 148 if you what that means

Aliko is richer than both Kroenke and Usmanov and as long as it will make business sense to both men, they will sell

I said unless he is ready to spend a lot, which is bad business. Unless he wants to use Arsenal as charity organization.

Kroenke won't sell his own shares cheap.

Pessimism is not a good attitude. You see impossibility everywhere. If he wants to buy it and wants to achieve that, he will.

Never say never... Are you aware that by then the dude is gonna be the owner of the only functioning oil refinery in Nigeria? That's if he hasn't acquired another one by then since Buhari wants to sell of NLNG and the other 3 mon functioning refineries. Think twice! The guy has done a lot of forecasting before coming out to speak like this.

Lol. He's worth 15 billion USD, but it doesn't mean all his wealth is invested into the club. Arsenal as a club has a total net worth of about 2 billion GBP. and Dangote can easily buy that off.

Bros, he can only buy Arsenal if he wants to use it as Charity organization. Two major shareholders of Arsenal won't sell cheap.

Oga.. The "BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE" was formed in 1992 following a big shake up when the football league first division decided to break away from the 'Football league'.. This was what has grown into what you see today.

It was the product of smart business men sitting at a round table with investors to map out a new league, discuss how they would all make money, the improvements that would be made, the sponsorship and its effects on the club, T.V rights and coverage, e.t.c..

The reason why nobody is focusing as much on the Nigerian league is because it isn't as colourful as the English League. If investors call in professionals to draw them up a new Nigerian league, enter partnership with DSTV on sponsorship, inject money into clubs to fix up their pitches, jersey's, boost the club image, Public relations, advertisements, e.t.c, people would start picking interest in the clubs.

Enyimba grew in reputation because 1 man injected money into the club which led them to win 2 African Champions League trophies..

The Nigerian Football League is like our refineries.. Just because they are not working now does not mean they are not profitable businesses.

True, but that's due to lack of promotion and 'hype'. The Nigerian football industry can be revamped if its promoted everywhere, players get good pay, the stadiums are clean, and matches are regularly shown on non-cable TV stations. Betting sites should also do promotions for betting in Nigerian leagues. It can actually be achieved if they put their minds to it. After all, in the entertainment industry, although we listen to foreign music, local artistes are heavily recognized as well.

Do you think it is like buying a car?

No one makes such acquisition in cash.

How is he worth $8b and engaging in $20b project? Because banks need folks like him.
