Even that can also be misdiagnose by our ever competent doctors.

You are also an example, first "his license should be ceased" is so wrong , it should be "seized" educated Olodo. Cant imagine ignoramuses like you speaking for others when you yourself are full of ignorance.
Not your fault sha, ur ethnic hubris wont let you see things in the right colour. Continue blaming it on a region of the country when im sure even in your village similar things happen.

OK.

To become a doctor in Nigeria through JAMB, you need to spend six years (six sessions) in the university. The first year, however, is not medical school. The first year is for basic sciences like Physics, Chem, and Biology, which you jointly do with other science students. The first year is called Prelim or Pre-med. Those who fail are not usually allowed to move to medical school. Medical school starts from the second year when you do Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. Any more years spent is due to strike, which affects everyone- non-medical students inclusive.

He has sold the kidney. Make him talk true. Na lie the doctor dey lie. No be mistake.

That's exactly my thought even before opening the thread. A doctor without sinister intention will not just perform a surgery to remove tumour like that. They have to carry out the test several times to be very certain.

People like you make me wonder if I made a mistake by choosing to study medicine. The last time I saw my family was nearly two years ago. I read a MINIMUM of four hours everyday, attend practical sessions that last as long as four-five hours, study random text materials, belong to several study groups, et all. Do you have any idea how unhappy your comments make me feel? Is yours the kind of slander I will suffer for the rest of my life for dedicating myself to the business of saving others?

I don't know you. I'd tell you something though- I really do hate you.

Truth hurts sometimes. Not all Nigerian doctors are quacks, especially, those who studied and trained abroad.
It's a fact that most of Nigerian doctors have killed many patients or made their health worse!

If you count yourself among future quacks then that's up to you. But if you know what you're doing and not engaging in exam malpractices to cheat your way through medical school, then you've nothing to worry about.

Oga it haf do! There are still quacks in your so called Europe.
That was how they told Dora Akunyili that she didn't have cancer after a Nigerian doctor diagnosed her of one.
Do I still remind you of Stella Obasanjo?
'nough said

It seems you know nothing about Europe. There's no place in Europe where you would meet a quack doctor in a hospital!
Quack doctor, in Europe is none-existent because Europeans don't issue medical certificate carelessly. You go through rigorous processes and procedures before being accredited and permitted to actually attend to a patient!

And unlike in Nigeria where you visit one doctor for every illness (Jack of all trade master of none), in Europe there're many different specialist doctors for every health issue. There're specialist doctors for any bone problem. There're specialist doctors for any eye problem. There're specialist doctors for any brain problem. There're specialist doctors for any psychological issue, and the list goes on!

Nigerian healthcare sector is a complete mess and a disgrace!

You think you have spoken intelligently?
No, you haven't. Next time
Make a comprehensive research about your country before talking rubbish in public cause right now you sound so ignorant.
Whoever told you that there are no specialists in medical practice in Nigeria did you no good.
Heck you should know better oga!

I didn't say there were NO specialists in Nigeria, but having a very few in very few hospitals is totally unacceptable! A patient shouldn't need to travel hours to another State located in a different region of the country, before seeing a "specialist". And not all "specialists" are available in Nigeria! That's just the fact.

Nobody needs to research most things in Nigeria because most people live in the experience!
The undeniable fact is that Most Nigerian "doctors" are plain quacks, they've no clue what they're doing! And their incompetence result into many avoidable deaths!

Every death in any hospital in Nigeria should be investigated by foreign Western medical practitioners (Nigerians are too corrupt and clueless to conduct an investigation), and jail any "doctor" or "nurse" who caused a patient's death. In fact, we should hire foreign doctors and nurses to take over, revamp our medical schools and create a great healthcare system!

Oga, since you don't see anything good in Nigeria why don't you ignore her and move on with your life. What I see in your comments are unfounded generalization.
You are just where you are praise-singing the westerners as if they are infallible.
Oga, there are as much quacks in your beloved western world as you have in Nigeria.
Case closed.

Comparing a massively corrupt and dangerous country like Nigeria to any European country shows you're either totally out of touch with reality or you're plain insane.

I'm not saying Europe or the West is perfect but they're advanced in every aspect of human development, science and technology! There's a huge reason why Nigeria is called a third world country! It's extremely difficult to be successful in Nigeria without being corrupt! Everything is corrupt in this useless country!

If you are satisfied with the present state of affairs in Nigeria then you're part of the problem!
