If it's in Nigeria, they will blame the opposition party for the earthquake and afterwards the road will be abandoned b'cos it leads to South East.
Lol. They will also tell you folks agitating in the East you are better to remain in their country that you can't do better in your nation instead of preferring viable arguments.

Talk about a hard-working nation.

How long would it take to fix this road in your country?
That is how a citizen and true followership should be, not the one we are here...

So how does that explain why Fashola couldn't complete the Lekki Epe express was after spending 39 billion naira and toll collection in billions..it's not about GDP or tech sir ,the plain truth is that our leaders are not committed to anything, Fashola wasn't interested in fixing the road ,he was interested in setting up the toll system so he and his friends can reap off and that explains why the toll gate on lekki Epe is the only well built thing on that road

This comment of yours deserve an award sir

Japan has advanced technology, plus an annual GDP of 4.92 TRILLION dollars.

Thus, comparing her current engineering capabilities to that of Nigeria is insanity.

OP, it's not about who is a ''hardworking nation'' and who isn't a ''hardworking nation'' - whatever the hell that means.

The economic and development profiles of nations are far more complicated than such silly simplifications.

While I agree they are ordinary humans like us, please give credit where due. They are a lot more advanced than us because they have their prioritises straight and have a better maintenance culture and attitude.

You say they have a better environment. Really? Nigeria is blessed with far better environment than most western countries and the likes of Japan. We have great weather and don’t have to deal with winter. We don’t face many natural disasters like earthquakes in Japan, typhoons in America etc. yet they have been able to develop functioning cities while we haven’t.

The truth is they actively and proactively pursue innovation and are constantly trying to make things better while we continue to do shady work and patch patch with a short term mentality. We are poor at maintenance e.g. if both Nigeria and Japan build the same infrastructure same time with same products and to same standards etc, come back in 10 years Nigeria’s version will be run down while the Japanese will not only still be in good condition but actually improved.

Yes they are not gods and are human like us but please give credit where credit is due.

Mr man, it's not about the money or being Technology inclined but about doing things right at the right time(and not embezzle and delay the project unnecessarily)

Anger and Reconciliation
21You have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be subject to the fire of hell.

NIgeria as a nation in a tropical environment is always going to be a more challenging environment to build in that Japan. This is true in the south, the north is something else.

That is the most obvious difference.

Before we even get to the socio-economic and political differences.

Japan as a nation is several hundred years. 'Nigeria' is barely fifty.

cool One of the main reasons Japan is this successful is because the follow their OWN culture. Unlike Nigerians that disrespect their own indigenous culture and embrace Arab (Islam) and Western culture (Christianity), the Japanese stick to their traditional religion and by so doing they are able to annex the force of their people. cool
