luminouz: And who did you know she has a clean record? Are you ICE? You know her DS-160 replies? Her social media posts?
Everyone who was ever cancelled had a reason for it...a legal basis for cancelling their visas. Even as students, if you had a clean record, you'd be given a lawyer who would fight your case by your school
I have seen other students go for visa renewal in Mexico and Dominican Republic and they came back successfully just a month ago. And you are talking about stars? Just tell me another thing biko.
her sister is telling me all of these.. ofcourse she said her sister has a clean record. Look, I am not here to argue, you might be right but this is what the sister is saying. Oh, there is a lawyer handling her case presently. She has not been deported fully.
luminouz: Because she had an issue!!! 1. Social media post 2. DUI 3. An offence where her fingerprint was taken at the police station
Or some other offences.... Stop the fear mongering...it's sickening!!!
How can you cancel an expired visa bro? It's already expired!! Jesus!!!
her old visa was still valid(1month before expiring) I never said expired visa. She had no DUI, no criminal record. Her case to me is shocking..
Here on nairaland, I made a comment knowing someone who committed a big criminal offense though he had mental issues back in Nigeria. When he got caught, lawyer argued showing several proof of him having mental cases from Nigeria. They won the case. Immigration was there to pick him up, they argued on the case, they won. Though he was sent to a psychiatric home for rehab. Fast forward, he is out,has his documents. Why am I saying this? We all have different stars.. the guy who committed an offense, 9 out of 10 people said, "Hin own don finish, dem go send am back", I even thought he would be sent back but they never did. Meanwhile, that girl who has a clean record, on a student visa, wanted to renew but denied and subjected for deportation.
SpatialKing: As long you have not committed any crime, especially financial, sex related, drugs, multiple traffic violations etc.. You are not over staying your visa especially B1/B2 You are not out of status You don't have a valid I-95 Pending court case You have nothing to fear or worry
ICE don't conduct random arrest they always know their target..
a Nigerian girl who renewed her student visa got canceled. They failed to give her a renewed visa and they canceled her old visa. She is subjected for deportation.
ucheheart: I have had my account since 2011 so if you can't trust me why should I trust you. So this your excuse that you have been on naira land for long doesn't hold water.
Let me give you benefit of doubt and do the job for you at N10k but I note, I will only submit half of the job right here on naira land, then when you pay me my money and I confirm, I send you the remaining half right here on naira land.
I chose to do it on naira land so every body will bear me witness if you scam me.
If you agree to my terms, let me know before I will start the job.
can't work with you. I do services for people and when service is delivered, I am paid for it in the end.
You may be wondering why commitment fee? I have done translation jobs for people and some refused to pay me up till today and still went ahead to use my work. So I must be committed first before I start, so I won't be cheated again
10k
If you think I will run with your money after the translation is done, you can report me to nairaland for them to ban me. I have had my account since 2008.

Dogalmighty17: The bright red colour of the blood indicates that a major artery was hit. Except the entry hole of the bullet gets quickly packed and sealed to stem blood loss, such injuries kill in minutes.
Now let me begin to point out the deliberate incompetence of both the state and federal governments and security agencies.
1. Naka road where this attack happened, is a road that has consistently been plaqued by marauding Fulani killers. The road is in utter state of disrepair and has remained so since the 90s. Thick vegetation surrounds that road for miles. The Fulani emerge from the bush, strike and then retreat. No week passes without Fulani killing people on that road. Up to this moment, two Benue links buses full of passengers, had the occupants kidnapped by the same Fulani and nothing has been done. This incidents happened less than a month ago.
2. Two Nigerian army check points are on that road. The police have a check point on that road too. These check points are primarily used to collect money from drivers. Once you approach any of the army check points, the driver of the vehicle MUST alight, walk to an area beside the checking point and drop 200 naira into a bowl the soldiers have set up for that purpose. The soldiers merely sit under a tree close to the check point and observe.
3. Makurdi is headquarters to the largest command of the Nigerian air force. This is where most of our fighter jets are based. While this airforce base is not home to airforce helicopters, the base can serve as a quick staging area for helicopters that can be brought in for surveillance.
4. About helicopters, with all the noise successive Benue state governments have been making regarding the Fulani killings, not one governor has bothered to procure a helicopter that can be quickly deployed to search for the Fulani camps that undoubtedly exist in the thick forests around the Makurdi-Naka road.
5. Infrared/night vision capable cameras are a thing some helicopters carry now. If the federal government won't mandate the airforce to use it's combat helicopters equipped with night vision cameras to search for Fulani camps in the forests, nothing stops the Benue state government from buying a couple of the civilian helicopters that can be used for such.
6. The Fulani build make shift camps deep in forests. Everyone generates body heat. Against the contrast that vegetation provides, this heat a human being generates can be picked up by infra red cameras on a helicopter. A helicopter on patrol that picks up a settlement in the thick forest with its IR cameras can easily geo-locate that location for Nigerian army paratroopers who are based in north bank, Makurdi to swoop down and investigate.
Heat in the forest is likely human activity. The Fulani killers have to use fire to cook after all.
Tackling the Fulani menace is not rocket science. Technology exists that can make sure these guys don't have a place to hide. All round incompetence in Nigeria's security architecture and the lack of the political will is what makes these killings continue.
You are talking about helicopters and jets knowing the bureaucratic system we have when two Benue state university students can build a drone less than $500 for them (army) to comb that forest and ofcourse it will have those features you talked about; infrared night vision cameras, photographic image capturing, body heat detection etc.
OlofofoCorner: From my findings most of those kidnapping are not done by herdsmen. Most people just keep shouting herdsmen. They are people from the South.,..,. How do they know that they are herdsmen? Do they come with cattles while carrying out the kidnapping? Or do they have inscription on their clothes that says " Herdsmen? Or herdsmen is written on their fore heads?
Abegi . Make una talk another thing .
they are northerners( hausa, fulani, kanuri, etc), disguise as herdsmen.
ImpartialGuy: A police officer who doesn't know the difference between leaving and living. Believe it or not, police is a job for mediocres in Nigeria. That's why they get infuriated whenever you speak English to them.
he does not know the difference between "mark" and "make".
If a policeman has this mindset, then there is fire on the mountain.imagine if the riot comes up and any Southerner runs to this one for safety.
why are you acting that this is new in Nigeria. It has been happening since June 1967. Do you know how many southerners have run to the safety of a police or someone whom they taught their life could be spared by running to an elder, administration, institution or agency. Deborah pleaded for her life in the presence of the school, police but they did nothing.
Flows001: Kindly find attached a "clean" hostel in a Ghanaian University. There is always the bad, the good and the very good in almost every country, the fact that we have "bad" hostels in some of our Universities, does not mean that it is everywhere.
I mentioned the school I graduated from as an example, we even had working Air Conditioners in each classroom in the Faculty of Law (where I finished from), and the school na PUBLIC University for North oo, so forget that thing, no be every state for Naija bad the way we dey reason.
University of Ghana hostel toilet or bathroom is not like that. 4 in a room, bathroom and toilet inclusive. Many Nigerian university have bleeped up bathrooms compared to Ghana. The structures of Nigerian university is fuckedup, landscape is bleeped up.. they only cut the grass of the administrative block and deans office, the rest of the building, the grass is as high as a corn field. I remember when 2 girls from burkina faso came to Nigeria, we were all schooling in Ghana and we went to Lagos university, she said, why is it that your university looking dirty; no grass cutting, no tree pruning, rusty looking chairs, red dusty sandy path where student walk by going to lectures.
I remember one time when I was new studying in Ghana, I walked on a smooth grass and the security alerted me and told me to walk on the pavement. Meanwhile, when I was studying in Nigeria then, student were walking on grass which they do not take care off. Infact they need the student to walk on grass because they don't cut those grasses..lol
Nigeria education structure is in a sorry state.. the structure, the tutoring, the corruption, lack of research activities, the bureaucracy trying to get your transcript, certificate, recommendation letter etc.. all in a state of comatose.
Flows001: Oga forget that talk, in many schools here in the North, our schools dey try!
now you are trying to be selective. You are saying in many schools of the north, they have cleaner hostel. But I am saying in all schools of the entire Ghana, their hostels are clean.
Let us face reality, we know how bad our system is. It is a decay that needs attention.
Unrated900: Because Ghana is too small In land Mark Even Lagos big pass am..
Q
You are getting it wrong. It is not about the size but it is the system which is working effectively. the US is bigger than Nigeria but their success rate catching escape convict is 98%.
In Ghana, their university hostels can never be like this. You can never find 8 people in a room in any Ghanaian public university. Nigeria has failed we.
