So why all the misinformation? Simple: it's about controlling the narrative. They don’t want people from the South-South and South-East to feel acknowledged or celebrated for the fact that this massive refinery is fundamentally built on crude oil from their region. It’s an attempt to downplay the reality that without the resources from the Niger Delta, the Dangote Refinery wouldn’t even exist.

I told people here on Nairaland that this road project will end after Lagos or at most Ogun state. The rest will be cosmetics touches at most.
