d fact remains that God is partial/political, is it that make him not to be God? Capital NO, God is still God. you people should stop bending Bible necessarily just to defend God, my God doesn't need anybody to defend him, you people make Christianity complex for human kind to accept , when u confused urself , how will u convince others,

1st of its not about roasted meat bt about ur best. Cain brought d worst of his grain, wheat and yam. Its not like Gid will eat them bt its show the state of ur heart and appreciation.

2.Being jealous isn't bad if i doesn't make u sin.

3.God is quite slow to anger to u wont understand cos u don't want to. Just Look arrnd u and u will see.

I really don't like going into religious stuffs or arguements bt i will state wat i think is true based on wat i know or is obvious. Cheers
you're obviously d confused 1. No need arguing with u, I no ur type cos i was once in ur shoes.
1 day, when u decide to do away with fear n start thinking out of d box called bible, when u start using ur head to think like d adult that u are n not a child like d bible advised, then d scales will finally fall from ur eyes.
Till then, enjoy ur ignorance n fear. Cheers.

The question is did God create another set of humans apart from adam and eve or did they give birth to more children if not how did we multiply

Now people make dis mistake of thinking dat d bible follows a chronological order meanwhile it doesn't. Dat is why u think events in Gen 4:3-26 occured before Gen 5:4
Cain and Abel were first and second but they weren't d only children of Adam. Adam bore sons and daughters and cain married his own sister.
Now d way Gen 4:2-end was written makes it look like it only cain and Abel. Read gen 4:3 it says "in d process of time" in between this duration Adam gave birth to sons and daughters
If u understand every part of d bible wen u read it den there will be need for theological schools

Bros, my advice to you... Stop this blasphemy against your creator. Tell whoever that put this thinking in you to change from stupid logic and appreciate the life you've been given. You're alive today....does it mean you're same with the righteous?

You that u are alive, does it mean that u are more righteous than the dead?
If we appreciate God for living, perhaps we should blame him for the dead.

2 Peter 1:2-4
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Lol you should study more! vs 2 explicitly states that grace be multiplied (which means some people have grace even before they were born) through the knowledge of God and our Lord Jesus. The questions are who grants us this knowledge? And is this conditioned on our fulfilling something first? Or does God simply give understanding to those He has chosen? Vs 3 answers the question!

Colossians 1:9
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives

It doesn't look like they were praying for anybody. Or does it? So who were they praying for? People who have become like them. Who they heard have been saved by grace. And they began praying that they be filled (with what they have) with the knowledge of God's will. It didn't look like they were trusting on men to do they filling!

Very good point you highlighted. If you study book of John 1: 11-17, you will see that receiving Christ Jesus is receiving grace &truth because they came by him. Already if you have received Christ Jesus, the spirit is imparted to help you know what you have in Christ.
Yes, it was a prayer in Col. 1:9, because though they have received their salvation in Christ, so Paul made that prayer because being saved is a gift we receive, then opening our heart &mind to the word of God,through the lens of grace, 2Cor. 3:7-18, helps us work in the light of the gift of salvation we have received. That why Romans 12:2 encouraged the renewing of the mind because the gift we have received through Christ Jesus is truly amazing and the normal unrenewed human mind cannot understand things like you are "sitted in Christ in heavenly places:...etc,so the filling is done by God's spirit but we need to receive the knowledge first, so the filling/understanding/revelation of what you receive can be translated into a grace received in that aspect you're seeking of-basically that's how 'grace is multiplied'!
Please don't mind the grammatical errors in my writing!

Being biased is of human.
As far as god is concerned, he's as you think.

arcadious dei.

But we were made in the image of God. And according to Gen 3:22 "The man has now become like one of us";
after Adam ate from the tree of knowledge, humans became like God but became doomed to die.

We had the knowledge of good and evil, just like God.

Adam was sent out of the Garden, so that he wouldn't be able to eat from the tree of life as well. And then he would have been able to live forever. Like God?

A lot of mysterious messages in the book.

Friend... that's part of the point precisely. Some things by God's mercies we understand, but because we as human beings are very finite, despite the knowledge and position God has mercifully given us on this planet. We must, by God's grace and mercies alone, come before Him, the Great King Eternal, in humility... even per your example, as a little child, trusting his/her father implicitly... and this not a earthly father, but The Heavenly Father.

"And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 18:2-4

Don't listen to me or anyone else, just please read the Holy Bible... even one chapter at a time, one book at a time. God is good. God is the only true Judge, and only God has the power to forgive sins. "But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins..." - (Matt 9:6, mark 2:10, Luke 5:24)
-----

"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." - Isaiah 55:7-9

Peace!

Na this u people 'God himself came through Jesus to pay for our sins' they vex me pass.

Please Who determines what is sin, please who has the sole power of forgiving them? Why should I kill myself or my son just to be able forgive a sin only I can solely forgive? Should we call that a show off from the Christian god?

Because I am not understanding. Why should I use the entire savings in my whole life to buy a car I already own? Does it make sense?

Or is it possible for your wealthy father to sell off his house just to pay your school fees? A fee that we all know his capable of paying for 100 more students on scholarship. But still goes on to sell his house? Please what will you call such a man?

Na wa o..

I'm afraid this is where I come in

I totally disagree with what you're implying here, I put it to you that you're ignoring biblical verses and talking off a tangent

saying the Pharoah deserved what God did to him. Okay, sure, maybe he was a complete dick. What about the fact that God went through and killed all of the Egyptian first born children? God literally made the Pharoah just let that happen because he kept hardening his heart. It makes no sense from a moral standpoint to threaten to kill someone's children if they don't give you something, but every time they have a chance to give you what you want you make it impossible. Hell, it never made sense to me either way why he killed their children. He's supposed to literally be the moral authority for all of humanity. He's supposed to judge us and tell us how we did in life when we die, but he goes around killing innocent children just because their parents bleeped up.

"But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go" (and variations upon that theme). God repeatedly forced Pharaoh to refuse, then punished Pharaoh (for the coerced refusal) by sending various plagues, up to and including murdering all the firstborn children of Egypt.

And to add insult to injury, after he had slaughtered the children and permitted Pharaoh to free the Israelites, "the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians." So, at any time, God could have simply moved them to let the Israelites go, without need for inflicting rains of frogs and bloody rivers, killing all their livestock, and murdering their children. But he waited to do that until after he had mostly sated his sadistic tendencies.

(I say "mostly", for a couple of chapters later, he once again abrogated Pharaoh's free will, "hardening his heart" to make him pursue the Israelites.)

You would have been absolutely correct if you are referring to a fellow human.
But where you wants to use human code of conduct to judge God; I must say you aren't being articulate.
Pot can not tel the poter what to do and how to do it. No mater how much civilized you think yourself to have attained, do not arogate to your "poor" self the position of a reviewer who has the ability and intellect to review God own doings...

Before we were created by God Almighty, He knew us. That ia to say that we have been in existence before creation.

God is not a partial God. AS human beings, we read the bible and pick holes from most of the things we have read from the bible but fail to understand that without the help of the Holy spirit, we cannot understand the meaning of most of the things we have read from the bible.

He created man in His own image but ONLY sin has separated us from Him. When we sin and repent, we are forgiven and still will be accepted back. Having mercy on whom He wants to have mercy on, is to show us that He is not a man but a Supreme Being.

In Romans 9 vs 16...so then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

That means God is selective of whom to show mercy to,why that?...are we not all his creatures?...we can see this in the case of jacob and esau...he showed mercy to jacob unlike esau...

Peter and judas iscariot...peter was showed mercy but judas was doomed to die...

Saul and david....

And lots of biblical cases...

Not everyone will receive the mercy of God...some are doomed to die no matter how many years spent on the earth...God spares only those he wish to and destroy others...

Little wonders why someone will commit a particular sin, will go scot free but someone else that commit that same sin might die.....

So doesnt it mean that God is a partial God?...state your opinion without insults...

Alright it's pretty easy. God sent his son to die for the WHOLE WORLD he doesn't show mercy to some only but to everyone. The repercussions are functions of Their choice

Psalm 145:9. The lord is good to all, he shows compassion on all he has made. This is the general grace every of God's creature enjoys. But your attitude towards God will determine how much attention you get from him. 1Samuel2:30, God said i will honour those who honour me and despise those who despise me. Isaiah 1:19, if you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land. No one is destined for destruction after the price Jesus paid for us on the cross of calvary. But you must work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Your level of repentance and obedience to God determines how much mercy he will show you. A broken and contrite heart God will not despise. When David sin against God. He broke down in tears and prayed for mercy and God showed him mercy. But in the case of Judas, he killed himself after betraying Jesus instead of asking God for mercy. So once attitude determines how he or she ends. God is never partial. He has given everyone free will to chose between good and evil.

I pity sheeples that sit around and wait for "God" to show them mercy and grace, or to turn their destiny around. I used to think that this principle explained the success of the likes of Mark Zuckerberg, Bill gates etc, not until I read Outliners by Malcolm Gladwell.

Don't wait for an imaginary "God" to determine where you go in life. Take charge. Learn, study, master skills, read books, move to the right environment, break bad relationships and establish ones with connections to your carrier goal, be determined and let me see the fucker that will stop you.
