Quota system can get you into medical school but I don't think quota system will "graduate" you.

You are missing the point here, many regions feel cheated because of their contribution to nation building while some regions benefit while giving nothing.

That is the basis of most unintelligent agitations thus experienced so far in most regions, the problem I have is that they don't have a realistic solution to the problem, some say division will solve it, some want a Republic, some want true federalism while others said its resource control.

All these unintelligent postulations are unrealistic however there is one solution to the problem, merit.

if we design our systems in a way that enthrones merit above nepotism, other regions will have no choice that to work hard.

Endeavour to visit any federal establishment today you will see them in all departments with either forged certification or a certificate stolen from someone and now one brat advocating against quota system.
Let an igbó man rent an apartment he will nearly frustrated the landlord while no one dear buy a land at their village.
