Please, please davidylan, don't blame the problems of Nigeria on the Nothern politicians. Nigerians, who let them, year after year, pillage and loot and misuse/abuse power, also have a gigantuan share of the blame. How can a people just sit and do nothing but complain and then expect their problems to grow legs and walk away? Right now, the 'president' of Nigeria is nowhere to be found and they still do little else apart from pay lip service to the issue. Nigerians should stop constantly moaning about the way things are in the country and get off their backsides to effect change instead of blaming the leaders for everything.

I hope those wishing America to invade Nigeria know that lives are going to be lost in the process. If you right now in Nigeria and wish this for us, no problem. but if you are somewhere else at the comfort of your room with unlimited access to internet and you wish us this, Na God go punish you and your family.

If we need a change, it has to come from us. Not some foreigners telling us what is good for us. Come to think of it, why do Nigerians believe that ay foreign country at all will have our interest at heart? This is very naive.

@pafun unfortunately that's all we can do now, Dream. While youths in Iran and other harsh environments are protesting against the status quo all we corrupt cowards do here is hope for change. President is away for 6 weeks and the National is busy giving ultimatum to countries who spend more money on clothes than your entire budget.

I also had a dream: that some Nigerians dropped their slave mentality and inferiority complex and thought well of their country: that they stood up from their lazy behinds and helped in the development of the nation: that they stopped blaming the north for all the nation's problems (yep, we all own a piece of the blame pie): and that a bullet was shot through the heads of people like the poster for treason. And if I may add, I dreamt of the USA take its filthy paws and bloody nose off Nigeria.

For those of you who support the dream, maybe you idiots ought to look @ the cases of Liberia, the Philippines, Iraq, Afghanistan, & Iran during the reign of the SHAH. You think the USA gives a damn about human rights and development? Then maybe you guys need to wake up to reality and read about how your proposed saviours dealt with the inhabitants of Ascension island in the 1960s, or the indigenous inhabitants of Guam till date. You will be very suprised. In the foreign policy of the USA, one thing stands out and that is its INTEREST (favourable concessions to or control of another nation's mineral resources, the growth of its hegemony, etc). It takes top priority over human rights and democracy.
