That's false.

I'm == I am

am a good boy

Are you a good boy?

Yes I am - correct

Yes am - wrong

Yes I'm - wrong

I have often come across people in writing substitute the use of "I'm" with "am". It is becoming a careless error that is gradually creeping into professional writing and it is to say the least appalling that even graduates have no clue. There was a time people would say "it's my lucky" rather than "it's my luck", etc

"I'm" is the abbreviated form of "I am" so when "am" is used alone, it may pass in speech but never ever in an application to a serious organisation or employer. Never write "am hoping that..." -in an email or letter. Rather in speech, it should be "I am hoping..." -and not even the correct abbreviation "I'm".

This may not affect the prices of many things in the market o but a trained and sophisticated HR recruiting unit may perceive such candidates as weak potentials - even if the contrary were true.

Lol it doesn't negate my assertion in the context all i got was "i'm" is use in an official writing while "am" informal which supports my notion. victonezzar wasn't writing a report or project was he? That's not why i corrected you anyways.

change of thought here it is ; 'I'm' is the contraction of 'I am'. While 'am' is a primary auxiliary verb 'to be' like: is, are, was, were, am, be, being, and been.
These auxiliary verbs could be used as helping verbs e.g.
I am eating
she is reading
They are also used as linking verbs e.g. I am a teacher

The difference between I'm and am is: I'm is the first person singular pronoun I and auxiliary verb am while 'am' is just an auxiliary verb that can't start a sentence. Hence, it's wrong to write: Am with you my yoriyori instead write I'm with you my yoriyori.

"Bros am present" is CORRECT!
