My friend, your narrative is currently based on mere speculations and assumptions; however, the reality on the ground is that at present only the Igbos by their majority want to opt out of the union (so lets deal with that first; if any other should later want to opt out so be it).
The main crux of the matter is the manner through which the Igbos are going about their agitations via their newfound current leadership (IPOB/Kanu) is irritating a lot of Nigerians to the extent that a group, Arewa Youths, were sufficiently motivated to take reprisal action.

On the contrary, so far no one has threatened the Igbos with violence; the quit notice is unfortunately being mistaken as a threat of violence, but it isn't true; however, it is the Igbo movement, IPOB through Kanu, that has been threatening the rest of Nigerian with death and violence.

I have read on numerous occasions here on NL, claims by Arewa youths and some northern elders, that they cannot guarantee the safety of igbos in the north, come October 1st. What is that if not violence?

By God's grace, we will all be alive by October 1st. Whatever happens then, will determine what will happen next. There is no use trying to see the future through our crystal balls. October 1st isn't that long anymore.

I am not sure what you read was authentic; besides Arewa youths coalition forum are not security or law enforcement agents and therefore lack the the capacity to provide or withdraw the security of anyone - even if what you read was true.
