Fake news, no body was killed let alone 16 persons. Security is top notch, the police, army and all security agencies are on topmost of thier game. This is handwork of PDP and thier detractors. We are reassuring Nigerians to go about there business without fear, especially our businessmen in the north east and north west. Long live President, long live APC, long live our faithful followers. -From the dishounarable minister of dissimformation.( if you like put name, na you talk am) |
Is Sagay still around. Each time this man opens his buccal cavity he never dissappoint. Just consider his example, does Nigeria practice monarchical system of government. Can the paliament in UK invite the british prime minister and he will fail to appear. Who is he? Well all APC faithfulls see Buhari as a King, the king of Nigeria, therefore I am not surprised. During the last administration, Fashola and Keyamo asserted that the then president should honour the invitation by the lawmakers, so what has changed now, is the president lame? When we have old men suffering from memory loss, how do we expect the country to move forward. |
Fainting is old trick, new trick should be kolomental. Then your case will take another dimendion never seen before. It is just that our judges are not inventive, otherwise all this thieves trying to evade justice would have been dealt with same measure of trickery. |
Mobi47:They have Forest Rangers, but i don't think their operation have been harmonised. The number one problem the governors have is the tendency to want to stand alone. when it comes to actioning collective agreement, it only start and end up in press releases. Bunch of clwns |
All Progressives Congress (APC) governors had urged Mr Buhari to shelve his scheduled appearance." "The governors were said to be concerned because their state houses of assembly may want to take the opportunity to “harass” the governors by seeking frequent appearances." On Wednesday, the speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, who presided over the plenary deliberately skipped the item. My opinion; APC is curse, Burahi and his team is a plague. F...ck APC, F..ck Buhari and if you are down with them F...ck you too |
awhybliss:Workers should stop contribution to the Labour union, of what use is the union if they cannot defend the right of workers. Labours unionism is useless in Nigeria. And for those who berate SERAP, what responsibility do they have to you? They are doing the little they can in a useleas country like Nigeria. A country where court cases stay long and judgement can be bought by the government via all sort of means. Channel your anger to those who you have some social contract with; Labour and Government who you have voted in into power. |
Anyone expecting any other party to win the election or any other elections in Lagos must really think twice. Congratulations to the winner. |
Invite who? The emir of Nigeria, these guys are jockers. |
If you decamp, must everyone decamp with you. Why blackmail people using state broadcast? He is fortunate to be under immunity otherwise it would have turned into a legal issue. Now it has turned to roforofo fight. Let me cross my legs and watch after-all they are all politicians, always self seeking. |
I laugh at those who voted him twice and are now complaining. It is only in a retrogressive country like Nigeria that the so called educated and enlightened citizens lack the ability to ask the question "HOW". We all don't have to be economics guru to know that Buhari did come with any plan to develop the country. The man who could not sell himself but used cronies to wipe up sentiment and propaganda and denied all election campaign promises thereafter. Let agree that he came at difficult a time but he does not have the capacity to lead a multi faced country, with huge challenges like Nigeria. One who sits in his Aso rock palace as Emir of Nigeria and sends out discordant cronies. Is his buttock glued to Aso rock? To sealed the fate of Nigerians is the rubber stamp legislature, who who openly declare to pay allegiance to the president rather than the citizens who voted them for representation. In a progressive country Buhari would have been asked resign or be impeached? 2023 make una vote another clueless president. How long do we think life expectancy is to loose over 20 years of our adult lives to bad governments and life of struggle and complain. |
Useless comment. Who is he telling this, the common man on the street they promised CHANGE? Is he not close to Buhari? Or Is he not a member of governor forum? And a strong member of the ruling party? Well he can deceive his supporters and APC faithful, the yam and knife is in their hands. Period. |
In a sensible country, the citizens would have asked the President to resign or get impeached. The oppositions would have been pushing to get the president impeached. The only person, on the floor of the senate who asked the President to resign if he can't protect Nigerians is Abaribe, every other person in the legislature have lost their voice if they have any. The North is the safest place to live in Nigeria. The writer is a purveyor of hate speech seeking to discredit this administration. The BH never killed anyone in the town, in short, they came drank and party with villagers and went away. BH happy, villagers happy, Aso rock happy. Since we have decided to deaden of heart and conscience to support evil, let the lives of every supporter of this administration be like Nigeria, may their lives be ruled like Nigeria. Their household like Nigeria, one step forward, ten steps backward. |
SilverNorGold:The other side will deny detaining the reporter but will agree under oath to have detained her but for her security only. Let wait and see, is not Nigerian government. We know their script. |
This government through Lai Mohammed has chosen the wrong fight. CNN is international cable network watched across the world and not NTA, therefore this government should be very careful before it brings itself to dry. Simply acknowledge that the government took the wrong steps and make effort to make amend. This is not APC/PDP blame game. International sentiment is involved here. Period. |
Mr Fayose, nobody is after Tinubu. These people you have in mind are politicians and will do anything under the sun, including characters assassination and lies to achieve their aim. Can Tinubu be excused also for the all lies put forward by APC before and after coming to power or should we also excuse him from one of those who sold us monkey for a dog. I don't have anything against him, it is just politics, there are no absolute loyalty but absolute interest. And for those mentioning 2023, APC should look for younger persons, that are well read, exposed ,intelligent and can uphold the rule of law at all times. Tinube is too deep in controversies and can remain a statesman. Much as people can credit him for raiseing up some people, his comment on some burning issues also left a lot to be desired e.g where are the cows or what are they still doing at the tollgate and justifing the use of force. It is better for him to remain statesman. |
mcquin:APC is a scam. This is a big lesson to every Nigerian. Unfortunately Nigerians forget or choose to forget so easily. Interrogate party manifestos and political promises, ask how they intend to achieve thier promises and the timelines. Any politician not ready to face the public in question and answer session should not be deemed to be fit to lead our over 180m people. And it should not be party spokes persons or VPs and Deputies to represent their principal because history has shown that, they are spare tyres whose words cannot be held accountable. |
I have been a critique of Uzodinma but if he succeeds with this pursuit, this will be a legacy in his name. States creation in Nigeria has never been entirely based on objectivity, kins are split into haves, in some case using natural landmark as rivers, which leads to gradual loss change or loss of Identity and all sort of issues with regard to resources ownership . Since this is backed by legal documents. I wish all imolites goodluck on this pursuit. |
One good lesson I learnt from the private sector is that a company growth is directly linked to the knowledge and leadership of the MD/CEO. No matter how brilliant you may be like the VP, the brilliance is useless working under a leadership like Buhari's. |
demoBaba:David Umahi will like to build his own structure, as expected, it is better to resign honourably than to be sacked. The time Umahi was silencing APC in Ebonyi, some people like the man remained there. How I wished that when politicians jump from one party to another, they loose their elected position. Without this we would not have parties with clear principles and manifestos. |
Umahi is a politician and politicians don't have principle or morals, they are simply shameless. He is seen as the most performing governor in the east and this goes to show that performance is not based on party affiliation, if not Okorocha would have been the best governor. He is free to move anywhere, I just hope the people will exhibit critical thinking when election comes. All the people in APC and PDP do not have the intelligence to turn around the fortunes of the country for better. They do not have the capacity to bring change or break the current faulty structure to the desired state. The current structure was never what the various nationalities through our then leaders agreed on. This present constitution was drafted by few people under minitary supervision and was never a product of the people. Period. |
We need to hear from the parties involved not MURIC or CAN. Period. |
Solatium:Really sad that properties and lives were lost during the carnage after the lekki incident. We have had several orders in the past which were partially obeyed or outrighly disobeyed. With the police, it is even worst, considering the order by the President to the IG during the Benue crisis. Nobody trust government anymore. The main concern for me here is blaming others yet failing to accept were they have failed. Our governments have never accepted wrong doing while in power. Every problem must not be seen as nail and hammer. We are dealing with people not robots. Curfew was declared due to refusal of the protesters to leave lekki toll gate, some had left, remember there was also one at ikeja. Before commencement time soldiers were deployed the rest is history. Let wait and see how events unfold, time will reveal all that happened. |
Solatium:I appreciate the more disclosures on the heros of democracy, I limited the number of person bacause there were so many,Kunle Ajibade, Chris Anyanwu, Ben Charles-Obi, George M'bah, even Obasanjo etc Alex Ibru escaped assassination, Alfred Rewani, paid the suppreme price, so many more in the list. It is easy for the government to hold people accountable but refused to accept responsibility. How many times has government accepted terms and agreement with the people and followed through. We saw how bush stood on the rubble of 9/11 and gave hope and direction to a mourning nation, that is leadership, how has our leaders lead us in crisis, they either sow political or tribal sentiment, to them every call for accountability is tribal or politically moltivated. Lagos state governor showed leadership but the man whose voice needed to be heard preferred using proxies, whose words cannot be held to account. Is the president an Emir? Is his but glued to aso rock? Let us blame the DJ for all the shenagigan of that period. The choice to stay back in the country is personal, those who felt in danger during Abacha's period and ran out are alive today to tell the story. Nigerian government cannot cover their incompetence by changing the narrative |
vertueptime:Every manufacturer copies in one way or the other. China, copies anything that can be copied from the EU and America. India is also gaining ground. In the nearest future both countries brand will soon compete side by side with others. Nigeria need to choose which way to industrialisation, to copy others like china, or develop own technology( we don't have the capacity). The shortest route is by copying others which china did. Innoson is a business man and has partnered with chinese firms. |
seunmsg:The APC governors should not wait until BAT support the move for Lagos. Zanfara and Imo state governors many months ago announced the move in their states. The rogues in PDP will not see this as a right move. Professional thieves. |
Solatium:During Abacha regime some of those enjoying the democracy of today ran away e.g Dele momodu, BAT, while some who stay back lilke late Chima Ubani were assassinated. why did they ran away, can we also label them terrorists due to their actions then. Note I have nothing against the 2 people mentioned. Just trying to let you know that one man freedom fighter is another's terrorist. First accept that there were confusion at lekki tollgate when the military started shooting and reports from that confusion might not be completely accurate. But did the man in aso rock and his government handle this whole issue competently? May I never lead my family like the president is leading Nigeria. Just look at the number of inconsistencies and divergences issued by government agencies and people in government. Does this tell you anything? May I never lead my followers this way. DJ switch never caused any problem, but the government that lied on several occassions and failed at the right time to own up responsibility and state the true position of event correctly. Now they are labelling some citizens terrorist and blocking there bank account, forgetting that during pro democracy fight, some of those who ran away from the country like BAT were sending money to Nigeria to help the fight against the leadership of that time, can we also called them terrorists based on that? No, we now called them heroes of democracy. In that vain DJ switch is also a hero of democracy. |
Where is their faces, the public need to see their faces, that is how they parade alleged offenders on national tv. They should parade their them and let Nigerians know who they are, they have been found guilty by the police service. |
Moferere:The traditional rulers are more sensible than the governors because they closer to the people and are more accessible to their people. The dust has settled and people are beginning to see things with a clear head. Initially it was all sort of conspiracies, even with the governors Must you show your stupidity on this mediums? There are many places in the world where monarchy is not practice. In most Igbo land the Ezes are just first amongst equal, like you have in the legislature. They are their to lead the council of chiefs and not to be worshiped. |
UAE is relaxing laws on alcohol, is Kano more islamic than UAE? Shouldn't there be separation between state and religion in a secular country? The taxes and excise duties paid by the manufacturers are they shared with Kano? We are a confused country, restructure this country to people of like minds, some people say no, they want peace. Peace without justice. |
bigcasava1:Because the Igbo people are not holding their leaders to account. The man who can afford by his effort to provide for his family is not interested in what happened in his state, but will rather comment on issue of other states. The man Nwafor is walking free, what are the Igbo people doing about the revelations against this man and his team? Igbo pride themselves as democratic in nature, but can we see this. |
just2endowed:ICC may be too far, we Africans have our own ways of settling score. And that medium shows no mercy even to the last generation. As for James Nwafor; 1. What profiling was carried out by Obiano before giving him appointment? 2. Was the sack enough? if he was an ordinary citizen, I am sure he will be in detention now for mere allegations. 3. How come Anambra youths who suffered most could not fish him out and met same terror on him and his family? You can't eliminate a family and expect to have yours. 4. How come IPOB members left him after he retired Amambr state government is culpable. They need to tell us how such killing go unrepotted |
There have been over 5 committee report on police reforms, and atleast 2 were presidential committees. The last was less than 2 years ago. Can Lai Mohammed tell us what has happened to those report as minister of information? We know of the corruption in the country, be it police or any aspect of the country, but brazen brutality and the absolute silence of this government shows that Lai Mohammed and his cohort have tacit support to the corruption in the police. Southern Nigerians are wiser. There are enough laws in our books to prosecute or mininise fake news, use them and stop looking to pass a new law that will absolutely emasculate the people's voice. The East has the worst set of leadership in the country, they will easily accept all that Lai Mohammed has to say, hook and sinker. Set of blind leaders. |
