Do you even know how many secondary school a state needs to cater for the young ones

Have you ever been to Osogbo?

Go and ask anyone from your clan who has been there to help you with latest info about secondary schools in Osogbo.

How do you in the first place get good education or have teachers teach school kids without good schools, conducive environment for learning and sound education infrastructures like the ones we are looking at in this thread?

Or you mean we should not build good schools until we have education and teachers or you just think all we need is education/teachers and not a good school building where they go in the first place to teach and get the same education?

I don't know know why some of you criticize with zero basis and sound thoughts.
We still have some buildings that we can mention and use this money to hire more qualified teachers. How many of those they build now can withsttthe what those old buildiaare have withstand

Good development.

What is the state's ranking in education? I hope their teachers receive adequate training and their remunerations as and when due.

You miss the point here Sir. Not bad to build excellent physical school structures. However, it is putting the cart before the horse to do so without having in place sufficiently trained and motivated instructors. Till date, the examination results of Osun students at GCE and SSCE remain unimpressive yet The State Governor sings songs of discord not befitting of State functions recognizing “State Boys” deceiving himself to be the messiah of the State’s educational system.

I've noticed that Aregbesola sincerely values education. Most of his works as state government are aimed towards education, or at least something for the youth. I like that. Fix things from the grassroots and reap the returns years later.

Aregbesola has actually taken schools further away from the location of students contrary to the ideal that Awo canvassed and is building schools that students must travel long distances to access. Unknown to many he has in place “School Managers” who put harried and poorly and irregularly paid teachers under pressure to produce students with excellent exam results! Sadly there is no virile opposition party to take him to the cleaners!

You are wrong, Ilesha grammar school has produced great people way back.. In term of production of great people in Nigeria, Ilegram has produced great people.. u should compare it with Baptist high school in Abeokuta in term of production. .

No state can beat Aregbe to this. However, the government will be running these 'mega schools' as private institutions. Students would need to pay.

You mean the old one like the one in the above picture that Aregbeshola demolished and rebuilt was stronger than the new one in the same above picture. ?
