Not all marriages of our parents generation were happily ever after. Many adults can attest to the broken homes they grew up in with their parents fighting over anything to the extent of making each other bleed. The only reason most of our parents stuck so long was because our moms were uneducated about alimony, didn't have a degree and were thus housewives or didn't have a means to subsist after a break up. Hence a woman going back to stay with her parents (because she had no other option) was considered a taboo. This generation is different and women will no longer be tied down to a defunct marriage especially when they are independent and can handle themselves which is fast becoming the norm. So let's drop this charade about past generations making better wives.

So very true op, grew up to knowing that the first car, fridge, shelf, some clothes albeit some other stuff was actually bought by mama yet she'll ask us to go and thank dad for all of it. Most times while leaving for school, after saying thank you daddy for the things given, he'll tell me to go say thanks to mama too because she bought most of it. Not because the dude wasn't capable but, he had plans which became successful.

While I never experienced mama raising her voice on papa or papa doing the other way round talk more of physically fighting , I wonder if such individual still exists in our genaration.
Nowadays what we've got are slay midgets forming feminist who and at the end of the day would still go back to their vomits. #hypocrites!!

Op you have a point but not all wives do this shit. A wife who truly loves her husband unconditionally won't give him headache
