I'm pained because most of you don't know a thing about the bible.

Someone woke from nowhere, downloaded a Bible App from PlayStore and began to confuse y'all.

Engage me with the above points or shut ya mouth!
....was reading to see where it was quoted by Jesus that if you do not pay your tithe, you would be cursed. The men I respect so much said so. so do you think "a curse" awaits those that do not tithe?

Bro you are talking to a brainwashed human being, comparing Dangote to a non tax paying pastor, cry

PaChukwudi44:

Dangote did not ask people to pay him money to run his business. He worked and made his own money and is free to spend it the way he wants.Pastors live off donations from members. You cannot take donations from indigent church members and live estravagantly. In the US the health sectratary the equivalent of Nigeria's minister of health was forced to resign because he flew in first class. Not even a private jet but for flying in first class.Living off public funds always comes with a responsibility

at op we can also see the story of the widow from another angle .....

The poor widow in the temple truly understood what Jesus was saying in Matthew 6:19-21..
.
“Do not put away riches for yourselves on earth. Moths and rust can destroy them. Thieves can break in and steal them. Instead, put away riches for yourselves in heaven. There, moths and rust do not destroy them. There, thieves do not break in and steal them. Your heart will be where your riches are.”

Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.Mark 12.., luk 21...

They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on” Mark 12 ..43..44

Can all the pastors or true believers give away all they had in the name of the gospel.... cos they always ask people to challenge God in their given.. I do not have enough faith to empty all the money in my bank account ..... do you..

By giving with a generous and pure heart, the poor widow was storing away rewards that would last FOREVER!

Go and sit down oga. From your post and Bible references you lack adept knowledge of Christ Jesus.
The woman in question put her offering and that was her last penny. (freewill offering)
Now christ was looking at d heart not what is left. He said from the bottom of her heart she gave all that she had....... That penny is equivalent to 2 naira now.
So christ was moved by his faith, heart and willingness to give even the little she had.

About buying a private jet for ur pastor.
I see many of u r beclouded by there brainwashing. Instead of u to tlk abt helping the poor with such money, u buy a jet for a pastor to use and fly for pleasure and tourism.
U mentioned apostle Paul saying something about collecting money, that money oga is for those who has nothing amongst the brethren, the widows, orphans and ministry upkeep.

You guys keep mentioning private jets as if all the pastors in Nigeria own one.

I mean, pastors with private jets aren't even up to 50.

1. Apostle Paul requested for money

(1 Corinthians 16:2, NIV)

Apostle Paul particularly instructed the people to set aside a sum of money that is proportionate to their income. This was a convenient way of collecting the money, that has now become a trend among Christians every Sunday. Is Paul a fat-fed and corrupt Apostle?

2. Jesus watched as the "Sheeple" widow dropped money for corrupt religious leaders but He did not free the "Sheeple"

- Mark 12:41-

At the time Jesus observed the widow's offering, the treasury was managed by corrupt religious leaders, but Jesus did not free the sheeple widow. Nowhere was it mentioned that Jesus instructed her not to give her last penny! Instead Christ was interested in blessing her seed. Ask yourself, would Jesus partake in the #freethesheeple movement if He and the Apostles were around today?

3. If your Pastor sow spiritual things to you, it is right and appropriate to give him those material things you can afford, and Yes, that includes a Jet!

- 1 Corinthians 9:9-14

d money apostle asked people 2 set aside every week, was it tithe?what was d money used 4?

A Nigeria with total absolute deviation from reality; Nigerians want their spiritual leaders to pray for them to get rich want the same spiritual leaders to be in total penury and poverty. What an evil world we are.

This is a nonsensical strawman argument. No one wants Pastors to live in poverty. They want Pastors to reflect the immaterial modesty preached by Christ and his followers. Any Pastor that cruises in private jets while most of his flock live in want is a fraud.

Oga leave the messenger and face the message! Was judas wrong in telling the woman to use the money from the oil and help the poor?
You don't support judas because you know he steals? But you support freeze even though you know he flaunts his expensive watches and cars in the face of the poor? How many people has freeze touched their lives before? Trust me he will boast about it if he does so...the point is that even though jesus knew that the woman could have used the money to help the poor, he still accepted it to be poured on his feet..if Jesus did such today you will accuse him of using such expensive oil to waste on his feet while people are hungry..

Baba, do you want me to quote the scripture here for you?

If Jesus knew Judas would steal the money, you expect Jesus to clap for Judas abi?

Only a fool, whose life depends on the manipulation of the gullible would react like you and your fake Daddy GO's.

We are under grace which makes tithing a hogwash. Nothing wrong with a cheerful giving as offering though.

Why am I even responding? Since it doesn't bother you how they've turned churches into a Big business, it could only show your level of maturity.

The only excuse daddy freeze can come up with is . They are not helping the poor, well I'm not surprised Judas Iscariot comes to mind. He wanted Jesus to sell the perfume to help the poor but no it was not because he cared for the poor, the Bible said he was a thief. Even if they sell all their jets, gather all the offering and tithes every Sunday for the poor, it will not end poverty. There will always be the poor in the society.

Every GIVING under the New Covenant is of FREE WILL.

Also GIVING before the LAW was FREEWILL. That is why the SCRIPTURE SAYS ABRAHAM GAVE (not Abraham PAID) tithe. PAYMENT refers to a debt.

Under the LAW Tithe is NOT GIVEN but it is PAID, connoting a debt. This is the reason MALACHI calls non-payment ROBBERY.

Believers should be free to give tithe, fifth, half, all or any percentage they so will to appreciate God, without fear of curses or condemnation. No CURSES or CONDEMNATION accompanies non-giving.

I do not support free the sheeple from TITHE, I support free the sheeple from CONDEMNATION.

JESUS IS LORD. GIVE YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST TODAY.

Reference:

You have heard him but just choose to ignored the points he raised.

One.
There are hundreds of church brands in Nigeria, tens of thousands of pastors, how many of them have corporate jets at their disposal. Are they up to ten. So in the world of jets Nigerian pastors remain in the minority.

What does this have to do with the obscenity of shepherds of the flock (many of whom are impoverished) riding private jets: the ultimate status symbol of the wealthy and privileged? Do you see why many of your fraudulent pastors get in trouble abroad for violating the spirit of non-profit/charity organizations: like Oyedepo and Ashimolowo who have had problems with the UK authorities? Those are sane countries where religious tax-exempt groups are expected to be run in a certain way and conform to a certain expectation.

Two.
Amongst the few who use jets almost all of them have extensive church networks which keep them on the road and in the air week in week out. The have multiple speaking engagements within and outside their church networks, they have extensive administrative responsibilities and do a lot of social responsibility activities. How that is possible using scheduled commercial air services beats me. If corporate executives cannot do it how much more pastors with much bigger responsibilities.

Third.
Security. For a start if such vile remarks can be made on social media you can expect the intent in reality to be much worse. From atheists through fundamentalists to terrorists seeking to do harm (Popes in the past have survived assassination attempts). Today his security is top notch. Even ordinary folks, reporters, church members will not make commercial travel and unsecured access in travel possible. It has been so since the time of Christ.

Granted there is a bit of class/status symbol thing going on with perhaps one or two but most of the ones I know who fly corporate regularly is out of absolute necessity. And if their church members and other Christians in far flung locations felt this was an inhibition they would gladly donate to see their GO's and what have you more frequently.

it's easy to find a list of world leaders, billionaire entrepreneurs, etc who do not have private jets. Anyone deceiving gullible members of such a necessity is a liar.

It's also funny that the same Pastors who pray for the security and divine protection of their flock need private jets for security purposes. And yes, Popes have been assasination targets before. Considering they also preside over the Vatican which is itself considered an independent territory and country, you might understand why they may need a private jet and security (though Pope's have usually chartered Alitalia flights). If British PM's can travel British Airways and even use the London underground tube, you've got to wonder why Nigerian pastors need their own motorcades and jets and move around like politicians.

Oga Oversabi, pls where did it say in that scripture where Paul stated that the money was for widow's, orphans and the poor? When did it become the Apostles' jobs to do the work of deacons? You obviously have not been reading your bible as you should, and that is why you don't know about the fact that the reason the Apostles appointed deacons in the church of which Stephen who was later stoned to death was one of them is simply because the Apostles decided it was inappropriate for them to burden themselves with sharing of food and welfare activities in the church, and as such decided to appoint deacons to handle that so that they themselves can focus on prayer and study of the word and preaching. Read the bible passage on the selection of Stephen and the other deacons in the book of Acts to confirm what I just said. No wonder sheeple freeze can confuse you!

What about the Jewish converts and even the apostles who also observed the Passover even after the death and resurrection of Christ?? What law were they operating under then?? Peter allowed the Jewish converts to circumcise themselves why?

Do you now understand why Paul reprimanded Peter?

Do you now understand why God gave Peter the vision of unclean animals before Peter's visit to Cornelius?

Even Peter struggled to understand the difference between Grace and the Law, however he was open to learning from his errors

Left for Peter alone, he would have thought Christianity was for the Jews alone thus leaving gentiles like you and me in perpetual darkness and ignorance of God's work done through Yeshua.

If not for Paul and some other Apostles...perhaps, we would all be worshipping Sango by now...

You know the Bible like the back of your hands but you don't know that fraudulent Churches have been in existence even before the Ministry of Jesus?

/
Read this your statement again.

So you are implying that fraud must be accommodated because it predates Christ.

Unbelievable!

Daddy freeze said we should not feed corrupt pastors.
If you did not pay tithes but give offerings are you not also giving to the pastor, also remember that we sow seeds for increase.

Are you high on Sapele water?. The total cost of maintaining one of your pastor's private jets in six months is more than a enough to pay the salary of your entire 18,000 church staff. What has been your church contribution to churches in the villages - many pastors in the rural areas are suffering from lack of funds. If you contribute your tithes to NGOs many poor people would benefits.

Tithing works for me and there is nothing anyone would say to change me...i had a personal convinction nd i am tithing till i die by God's grace.

I was once an unbeliever who criticise this...i would say "look at these pple moving around in their legedese benz..funding their GO's to get jets

But now i know better by HIS grace..

I wont say freeze is wrong...but he doesnt have an indepth understanding of giving

He is freeing d "sheepie" on tithing, has he heard of sacrificial given

He shouldnt even bother to know cos he will develop heart attack when he gets to know wat we are parting with to give as sacrifice not to man but to God who has put it in our hands

Tithes and offerings are used to pay salaries of worker i.epastors, acountants..clearners etc

Their are over 18000 working staffs in my church are they not citizens of this country
Does frezze and his followers know how many family that is being fed, housed nd educated with this salary they earn frm f church

Is it not the tithe that is being use to pay them??
Pls i want to know how the pastor is embezzling d moni cos me i am not understanding

Even d private jets is not bought in d pastors name its in d church name nd i know of times delegates av gine on trips with this jet thats on several occassion withiout d GO's

I pay my tithe
I give to my parents
I give to d needy around me
And i touch lives in my little capacity

And i will continue to do so till Jesus come
