PEF, PPPRA and part of DPR would be merged together under an agency called; “Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority “ termed as “The Authority”. While the other part of DPR (upstream operations) would make up the “ Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission “ termed as “The Commission”.

PTDF, NNRA, NCDMB and PTI maintain status quo in terms of objectives and operations, just some changes from here and there while NNPC becomes a fully commercial oil company with even shares sold to public starting from 2024. Staff security is intact, payment upgrade is expected, development and productivity also certain. Redundancies not welcomed.

I'm tired of their recruitment process. Like seriously, another interview. Someone will now start traveling from Lagos to bayelsa over something I'm not even sure of, thereby putting my current job at risk. What excuse will I give them now. Let them just make it virtual abeg

Why were they now told to upload documents first? It's obviously about scores first before anything else.

The shortlisted first batch scored 75% and above.

How exactly are they going to pick people. Because many can score over 75 be below the age limit and have core oil experience with 2:1 or first class. How do they now pick based on merit? I'm just wondering ni oh

What I posted earlier on is a privilege information. I don't speculate here. I can attach names to every information I posted previously. If you really know how these things work, you would agree that even some information directly from the Chief Executive concerning this recruitment in the past has proven not to be sacrosanct. They can always be changes to plans especially in the public service.

Remember what we applied for is for direct and full term staff of NCDMB.

They are contract staff that work for NCDMB too. They have both direct contract staff that they could regularise in future to direct full term staff and indirect contract staff, these ones work for contractor companies to NCDMB.

NCDMB to the best of my knowledge has a few companies they gave contracts to provide certain services for them or help NCDMB perform some of its functions as contained in the NOGIC Act of 22 April, 2010.

To be particular some areas like, Office Security, Facility Management, Front Desk Administration which could be part of FM, aspects of M&E and what have you.

We're doing documentation, medicals and possibly induction & assuming duties this coming month of September by God's grace.

Heard PIB has been approved. I hope it brings about the long awaited development in the industry. Some people even said it's part of what has been holding this recruitment stand still.

The rate at which Nigerian youth are slipping into depression is actually alarming.

I feel your pain guys. It is shameful when qualified graduates who are ready to work are denied their right. Right from the second controversial test, have been unwilling to follow this tread not only because I was not selected for the next stage but also the manner and approach in which the whole recruitment was handled. Even if there is recruitment of saints in heaven it should not reach more 7months or 7days. NCDMD is a type of suspense recruitment wey no dey finish. The country has really messed us up. But I know that there is surely light at the end of the tunnel in this messed up country. In the mean time, find something else doing.

Maybe not for the experience role but I bet you for the GT role scores is gonna be a major pick with experience. The 2:1 or 1 thing doesn't really play out. Check how multinationals like shell, Exxon, total recruit here in Nigeria and tell me if it's by grade alone. Even the just concluded nnpc they considered 2:1, 1 as a degree now the difference for the interviews was the experience you have not your grade for the GT. But what gets you to the interview door first is your score in the test followed by grade. Do your research.

So if you are a recruiter you will ignore someone who spent 4/5 years to make a first-class, and pick a 2.1 candidate because he has about 15 points more in an unsupervised test that lasted for about 1hr?. Or ignore someone with 10 years of experience and good certification over another guy who scored 90 but with less experience?.

We don't know how they will pick candidates but I believe test score will not be the most important factor.

True she...I believe the PIB might be part of what is stalling this recruitment.

That is why scores will be the determinants for picking followed by your grade and experience. They will definitely pick someone that scored 90 over 75 even though 90 is 2:1 and 75 is 1st class. After scores grade and experience next. The minimum was a 2:1 for this recruitment and 2:2 with MSC I think. While for scores the minimum is not a must pick. All recruitment always pick scores from top downward then credentials follow.

Scores will definitely matter, although, qualifications and experience will too. I think people working in the oil industry might have a better advantage coupled with your 2:1 / 1 of course and you score from 75. But the total number of people to be taking is another thing too. I wonder how many people scored above the 75% too. Does anyone know here?

They will probably screen the most qualified from the documents uploaded.

I wonder what the criteria for the so called final list is and if 75% Is enough to make the list. Also, does anyone truly know how many this people want to recruit.

Spoke to someone who works at NCDMB today, and I was informed that the recruitment is still very much alive. For some reasons he didn't want to disclose a lot of information to me.
All he assured me is that we would hear from them after their next seat meeting.
Keep the hope alive team, is coming home.

You should stop looking for ES's number, talkless of paying for it, otherwise, you are completely wasting your time. He will neither pick nor respond to your messages. He didn't help his family members finish talkless of a complete stranger.

The way Nigeria is set up employment wise. Any youth will be tired. Look at how people are calling out so many government parastatals here and no one aside from the connected knows they are recruiting. This country needs to be dissolved if things wont be done differently. They make employment seem like a privilege that is only for the top politicians. The country won't become good until things change. We cant keep doing the same nonsense and expect a good change.

I really hate Nigeria. Why make life so difficult for the younger generation. I feel Nigeria doesn't deserve majority of us. It's just a very useless place. How will you require connect after making good genuine grades to get a reasonable job. It's obvious this generation was never planned for. We were never planned for. All the old pieces of crap in power may God judge them all for destroying everything for the future generation. Prof. (Mrs.) Ayelala is the Human Resources Director. Word on the street is that she'd personally supervise each and everyone during the interview.

The purpose of the second batch email is for those in the first batch that lied about their credentials or didn't meet the standard requirement irrespective of scores. They shall be replaced with those in second batch that meets the requirement and scores also will be considered. Example, people that scored 74, 73 will be screened before the scores below that. If they get the required number from that they wont call anyone below that number. So, its still very much based on scores and credentials.

That’s why in this life one should never conclude or give up in a hurry. Some persons already concluded that there would be no second batch of email sending and that the whole recruitment thing had been concluded.
Now e don shock everybody and no one is saying anything again. Life will always click when it is time. Some persons will get the job even without applying, some will get the job from first group and some will get the Job from second group and so on
