why does it bother you that akwa ibom can or should have tree lined streets , golf courses, skating rink and race track? but you like the one in USA, Canada,Sweden,Australia, Norway,Germany ,etc. you think it happened by chance? that's why Nigeria is a shithole because you oppose progressive visions for no good reason.
Funny enough uyo has tree lined streets in place already, it's nothing new

The trees are nice. They look better than the photoshopped images, your friend Soulsearching posted much earlier. Oya, talk true...how many streets in Uyo, Ikot Ekpene, Eket, Abak etc, have these features? Tell the truth and let the devil be ashamed, o! cheesy

This is not true, except to you, site clearing means the same thing as commencement of building. But to me,except a block is put on a block,or at least foundation is layed or concrete casting of the structure is done, building can not be said to have commenced. In this case, building has not commenced.Lets not promote lies and deceits, they are people who may innocently rely on this information.
Hello learned brother, you sent me a PM but I can't access the email I'm using on Nairaland. Maybe we can talk off here.

THANK YOU FOR THAT COMMENT BUT MOBIL, CHEVRON AND SHELL WILL LEAVE LAGOS BEFORE YOUR EYES, WITH THIS TYPE OF MOVES FROM AKWA IBOM.

1. You are a comedian because Akwa Ibom is vastly richer than Lagos state.

2. For so many years under Akpabio, Akwa Ibom with just 5 million people passed larger budgets than Lagos state with 20 million people and sometimes even over N100 billion larger.

3. For several years under Akpabio, Akwa Ibom budgeted billions for the construction of Ibaka deep seaport, but he did not clear even ordinary bush or build an ordinary fence.

4. By the time Akpabio left office, he completed and commissioned only 1 football stadium, 1 cinema, 1 library, 1 uncompleted hospital, some roads and 1 flyover.

...but Fashola was commissioning major and grand projects left and right.

It's all about leadership qualities, not just money

have u been to Uyo?

It's not impossible with right deal. Tax incentives, saftey and OGFZ could sway their opinion. Building stuff nobody asked for is just dumb. Only Nairaland clowns and Akwa Ibom state governor try to bully people with non existent directives.
you are not from Akwa Ibom as you claimed. From all the words poured on this thread, it is now clear that the Yorubas don't want other states to develop.

The way you guys are defending this thing instead of being happy for Akwa Ibom people speaks volume.
This is sad, so sad.

Oil companies left because of lack of safety and security, violence and kidnappings.

You can not guarantee their safety and security with office building..

Oga but uyo is a big city and very free from militancy. So let the HQ be situated in uyo rather than Lagos, a far city in the west.

NASS HAVE ASKED ALL THE OIL COMPANIES TO RELOCATE TO THE SS.

THEY EITHER RELOCATE OR FACE LEGAL ACTION FOR DIVERTING TAX BELONGING TO THE OIL PRODUCING REGION TO LAGOS AT AN INTERNATIONAL COURT.

THAT MEANS, THEY WILL PAY DOUBLE TAX FROM THEN TILL DATE.
How much be Mobil tax sef? Akwa Ibom is collecting allocation equivalent to about 10 states already, how much 5 million/year from mobil wan add to Akwa Ibom...Beer parlour money

What did he do in uyo apart from the flyover and a few roads?

A after 8 years in office, akapbio completed less than 5 projects and they are all yeye projects.

1 cinema

1 library

1 football field

1 uncompleted hospital

Instead of your irrelevant question, why not dispute any of my assertions with facts.

Prove me wrong.

I repeat you are not from Akwa Ibom. If that pains you to much drink Ota pia pia

Akpabio, during his times, was the only one who worked so much during second term. Mind you, I am not from Akwa Ibom but I don't joke with people from that region.

Akpabio tried and the roads he did were highly standardized. Whether you like it or not, he did well. I don't care what you think or feel.

What is current governor doing? Is it anywhere close to what Akpabio did?

It is people like you that brag only to do worse when given the chance to govern.

I repeat, you are not from Akwa Ibom you mentally derange child.

You are too dumb for this discusdion. Only an idiot determined someone's origin by their opinion. I guess you Nairaland morons have never heard in the no true Scotsman falacy. This is how I know your mentally inept child because you wouldn't be making these idiotic arguments.

I don't care about your origins please. It has no bearing on your argument. Akpabio did next to nothing to further port it was still concept for longest time before Udom took over. Most if the important milestones where crossed in 2017 and 2018. Go to official port website.

Udom is loser so was Akpabio. Akpabio had biggest allocation only delivering stadium, hospital, library and theatre. The international airport has no international flights or cargo operations. The specialist hospital wasn't completed before opening and they hired a bunch of foreigners that managed it.

I ask you how Yoruba stopped development and like mentally challenged individual you are you sure stepped question. Now youre shifting discussion to Udom vs Akpabio. It's funny you guys are like this. Lol stop proving your mental retardation.

ACTUALLY, MYND44 I AM NOT JOKING HERE.

THE SS WANT THEIR OIL COMPANIES AND DEEP SEAPORT.

HAVE THE SS NOT DONE ENOUGH FOR YORUBA?

DONT YORUBA WANT TO CLAIM LAGOS AGAIN?

WAT THEY DEMAND IS THEIR RIGHT AND DEY WILL GET IT WITH THIS MOVE.

And who told you that it's only SS that has oil in Nigeria. Lagos and Ondo States have oil, they are only waiting for Nigeria to split before mining their oil

WE WANT TO HAND LAGOS BACK TO THE YORUBA.

THE YORUBA MUST HAND US BACK OUR COMPANIES.
Did yoruba forced tnose companies to lagos in the first place or why are you so dumb and idiotic? No matter how hard you all try to attract oil companies back to your holes, if your youths does not stop bunkering and kidnapping of foreigners, it's gonna be effort in futility. Tell it to your people and stop living in fantasy.
