i hear its compulsory....anybody that i have info about cheap hotel in st petersburg

Insurance is not complusory but it good for you so i will suggest you get an insurance of ur choice and about accomdation you can try booking.com but hostel will be cheaper than hotel abd as a visitor you will spend less time indoor so you just need a simple place to lay ur head at nigth..food is cheap on the street ,burgerking ,macdold ,kfc and many other low cost eating places if you not going to the fancy cafe and resturant ,you will save money and enjoy your stay

You should sort the schegen visa issue before looking for other people in that area , actually getting a schegen visa for ur trip could be tricky because there are other alternative route without the need for passing the schegen zone ..and about renting a car to cross international boarder ,please note russia is a total sperate country from main european country they have a different custom rules so pleaae contact car hire company ahead to be sure you can hire a car to cross international boarder..and from saint peteersburg no need stressing yourself with the long driving because there is a curise boat connecting saint peterburg to helsinki and you will enjoy it ..it travel over nigth from saint petersburg and u arrive helsinki in the morning (https://stpeterline.com) and it has option of trip to stocklum capital of sweden ,tallinn estonia and it return to russia.....if you can get a multi entry visa it will be a nice trip on the boat and it cheap ..you pay the same amount for the room on the curise boat..either you two or 4 people planning to stay together and the boat has eveeything from gym to club swimming pool casino ,you have option of returning same day in the evening or you choose the round trip going further to sweden and estonia and the boat stay in thoes countries till evening so you have option to tour arround..and one more thing you could face some stict checking crossing from russia to europe it due to the fact many illegal immigrant including nigerians use that route so please be calm if you are faced with many questing so far all your documrnt are geniune you will be allowed to pass ..and you can also check https://luxexpress.eu/en it for bus travel too to russia too ,i do not live in helsinki but have travel there more than 10 times and 98% of finland citizen in helsinki speaks english and l often travel around the city centre and then to Hämeentie street where so many africa shop and most of thoes shops have africa event for the week but i hope somebody that actually live there will answer your question but you can also check online for more information because in finland most informatio are online in petersburg you have the state museum ,the winter palace ,and you can also take a day trip to moscow to see the famous red square please this is a faceless forum becareful about ur business transaction ..welcome to russia!!

Wale,

Wow.. thanks so much for the info.
I will settle for the boat cruise and buses to Sweden and finland.

Do you have a similar cruise from Kaliningrad to Warsaw?

Tell me more about the options without the schengen?

Hello house, I have an issue. I have got match tickets and applied for my fanID, I got a notification that it has arrived in Abuja and paid for courier services via vfs website to have the fanID delivered to my address in Lagos. Thing is that it has been about 6 working days since I ordered the courier service and I have not got the fanID. I would like to know how long it takes for the courier service to deliver fanID to Lagos from vfs Abuja and also if there is a way to track the whereabouts of the fanID. Thanks.

Actually the curise boat are two type for the route ,one travel solely to finland overnigth and arrive helsinki finland by 8am and you spend the day in helsinki and you hsve to get back on board by 630pm if you paid for a return trip and the boat return to russia travelling over nigth and arrive next day or you have option of another curise boat that travel from russia to finland onward to stocklum sweden then to tallinn in estonia and it return to russia via finland but from kalimingard you can travel by bus to warsaw or talinn and other major city only if you have schegen visa and if you only aim is to visit russia ..you can actually travel by plane from any part of russia to kallnigard and there is a direct train from moscow to kallingard and it free if you book ahead specially for the world cup provided by the goverment and fastest way is by plane which you can also travel by plane from moscow or saint petersburg to kalingard it about 1 hr 40 minutes by plane and it cost about equvalient of 35usd if the prices do not change during the world cup so you do not need a schegen visa to go to kallingard by plane from any part of russia ,just fly to moscow or saint petersburg and use a connecting fligth to kalingard but if you have the interest to visit other european city then you need a schegen visa

Yes, it not a barrier, you need your fan id to enter russia, and the world cup games is not about nationality , you have the right to decide which games you want to watch no matter your nationality for example many nigerian travel to russia for the confederation cup with a fan id last year but cameroon was the only africa country that qualified for the confederation cup .
definitely be ready to pay more if you want to buy ticket when you arrive russia because it will be from other people planning to resell at a more higher price

It should arrive abuja vfs within 10 to 15 days maximum but do not worry or Panic there have alternative provision by Russia stated on there website

If you apply for a Fan-ID at a later stage in May or even June, they won’t send it over by postal service. Instead, you will receive an electronic version of the Fan-ID by email. You’ll have to print a copy of it which will be good enough to enter Russia visa-free. Then, once you are in Russia, you’ll be required to visit one of the Fan-ID distribution centers where you’ll get an actual Fan-ID. The distribution centers can be found in all of the host cities and they are listed

Officially fifa is the only authorised seller of the world cup ticket and any other source are just reseller at higher price for greater profit

NFF is selling tickets for all nigerian matches to supporters. The catch is they are not selling single tickets. You must buy all three tickets at once at a cost of 450 dollars thereabout for category 3 tickets. This is as at last week sha

I want to know if I can collect a fanID for a friend, since the courier has refused to bring the fanID, I have decided to go to abuja to get it myself so while collecting my own, I want to collect a friend's own also. I want to know if the letter of authority has to be notarized for them to accept it or would just having him sign surffice. Thanks.
