Good evening Sir/Ma, I read your last post about a woman whose husband adviced her to sleep with his friend inside of doing an Artificial Insemination, so she can get pregnant, the end result was a disaster.

I am having similar issues with my Husband, Ireti.. Please this should be discreet, I have adviced my husband to let me undergo and artificial Insemination without commiting any form of mortal sin, I cant sleep with his brother or friend, never! Please help me ask your readers if Artificial Insemination is a sin.. I want to know if i am doing the right thing

Whose sperm will be used? And will this be done in a clinic or at home? It’s not just a case of injecting as that will not automatically guarantee anything. How does she know the man has no disease, has viable sperm? Is not carrying some genetic illness he will pass on? Artificial insemination is viewed as having a child out of wedlock and the sperm will have been aquired as a result of masturbation. IVF is not a sin

But then religion is ambiguous over a lot of things.

If you have fertility issues just adopt a kid.

I've gotta give it to sperm donors tho,i can't imagine having a kid out there I know nothing about.

There was a time some people were against using Bible installed on devices in churches. Saying that the hard copy is the ideal. To some then it was a sin.
Now, it is no longer a sin.

Mama, if the semen is coming from your husband I don't see it as a sin. Forget whether it is coming through masturbation or not.

Most barren families cannot afford artificial insemination that's why they are not going for it. Costing between $300-$500 per pregnancy attempt which maybe running close to $10000-$12000 to have it done successfully. Not because it is a sin.

If artificial insemination is a sin, then adopting a child and raising it as yours should also be a sin.

honestly i cant say..
buh for me i just cant the idea of another man sperm in my wife
is unthinkable for me
i would rather adopt
when my child is growing he /she will be asking me daddy why do i look like that man across the street
or daddy my friend say i look like hes father
why don't i look like you..
let me adopt and know that he/she is not my blood

Where is the sin in you and your husband deciding on exploring more options to expand your family? As long as you both agree and are comfortable with it, specifically you the person that will undergo the process. Who cares about other people's opinions.

But you should also look at the options tabled by your husband, sleeping with the ;friend , brother or maybe cousin . You have his permission and encouragement after all .

I beg to differ. I think authentic spirituality frowns against such act of making human life in a laboratory. Isn't it a.k.a test tube babe..

Please OP.. IVF is a great challenge against the divine. Science of this dark and decadent age in which we live is the science of the anti Christ.
Be advised not to take that option in desperation. Please look well and factor in possible consequences before leap.

Yes the sperm maybe medically okayed but there are certain things that we have to listen to our deep conscience.

Considering assisted reproduction is one of my specialisations I have never used a test tube to begin with. I don’t live a life shackled by the ambiguousness of religious texts and even more the human interpretation of those particular texts. Invitro fertilisation did not exist in biblical times how can it be relegated to being a sin? At what stage are oocytes considered life?

Now assisted reproduction can be done in vivo so they way I look at it you are very welcome to have your point of view and beliefs I will stick to mine. There is no attempt at seeking validation from anyone here. Agree or disagree it’s not something that I take personally.
