Hello Motorguru, I really appreciate your response to people's questions here.
Please, I need your advice on Honda CR-V 2004, 2.4L engine and 4 cylinders.
Please, how durable and rugged is it? What about it's fuel consumption?
I would appreciate your advice. Thanks.

It is a good car , Although i would ensure the ac compressor is working properly before i purchase.

The front suspension setup drastically reduces the leg pulling problem that plagued the 1st generation

Goodmorning sir, i drive honda EOD 2003. Once i step on the acceleration slight before it gets into full speed i feel some sort of vibration/shaking especially from the leg on the driver side but once it attains full speed it becomes very smooth without any shaking or vibration. What could be the problem

Check your inner CV joints (inner shaft cup)

It may be the cause of your problems

Gud evg i have a 1999 toyota camry whenever i decelerate when the speedometer is at 20km the car do vibrate,i also notice a sounding noise coming from the brake

your brake disc is likely warped.

resurface or replace ( with new brake pads) and you should be fine

two things may be the culprit here...
1. Faulty Torque converter clutch release switch
2. An open circuit ( a break in your wiring harness( poor electrical conncetion or wire may have been eaten by rats

check out the two , repair/replace and you should be fine.

Thanks

Are you in Lag??

I also noticed it is shorting oil but no smoke and it moves very well.

oil shortage can be attributed to factors including:

1. Oil leaks
2.Bad PCV valve
3. Worn Piston rings(Oil control rings)
4. Worn cylinder walls

this can have damaging long term effects on your catalyst.

OK.

Is there a way to pinpoint which it is?

Does mean we have to change the whole engine?

Checkout for points 1 and 2 first

points 3 and 4 would require engine rebuild / replace

check condition of transmission fluid.

If very dark and burnt, prepare for a transmission replacement

camry 06 and camry 07-08 are of different generations
you have the option of having a 4 cylinder of a v6 for the camry.

the lexus ES 330 is V6 only.

the camry 07 and 08 is more modern.

the lexus is more luxurious.

so, it depends on your taste. as there are all very good cars

Good morning boss
Thanks for the prompt reply....

Plz, I will appreciate if u give me the best choice in order of hierarchy..... considering the fact that, I don't know anything abt this 4 cylinder/v6 you just mentioned....

I'm looking at the following as my condition for choice....
Maintenance cost
Less drama

As I intend to use it not more than 3-4 days a week, ....

Thanks

for (1)- It is Electronic power steering, so it eliminates the need for power steering fluid

(2)- A lot of things can cause this. Is your check engine light on?

Good afternoon all,
Kindly help my ignorance on car techinical terms and explanation. My Tayota Camry 2010 model with i4 (2ar-fe) engine developed a gearbox issue during the Xmas season travel. The gearbox wouldn't select gears except gear 1 and 2. The rev will reach 5,6,7 and the car wouldn't select any gear.
I have managed to bring the car back to abuja and i meet my mechanic here and after checking he said the gearbox brainbox (one black small box) wasn't communicating which he said he fix and the car is communicating with the gearbox.and gear oil was changed.
The issue now is the problem haven't be resolved. The car can only select all gears if I am driving slowly like a learner. And at a start the rev shouldn't cross 2 for all the gears to select.

Please help me.

Please scan this vehicle. The check engine light must be on, given your current predicament
was your throttle body (or what they call Injector mouth) ever tampered with? It is to ensure you are not having problems with your throttle position sensor

If the topping off is too frequent, i would suggest you check for coolant leaks

Get a mechanic to check the condition of your brake booster and its vacuum connection
