In civilised countries, life is very precious. The reason is that they know that once you take life away, you can't get it back. That is why the security forces only shoot people as last resort. Police are supposed to use rubber bullets, teargas or water spray to tackle violent protesters. With these methods, you achieve the same results with no loss of life.

But because Nigeria is an uncivilized place where human life means nothing, the Police use live ammunition as first resort.
