Why should I calm down when we have had numerous experiences like that?

You say that was Nov 2006,that was just 4 months ago ,surely if it was in that state then,it can't be finished by now.

Phase 1 is already completed
In Phase 2 the shopping center will be expanded

impressive but why is it commisioned when it's not ready yet nigerians start again, ireally hope they'll finish it before april 2, or maybe it looks like that because of the top view because those wild forset and red road dust is not working for me, well good luck i think i'll love it when it's finished

Those pics aren't the latest, they are just the latest that you can find on the net.
The whole Tinapa Project will be complete in around 5years time and even then there'll be room for expansion

If it is the Will of God, I will visit Tinapa, on my next trip to Naija.

I hope this project sets the milestone for a new, fresh intelligent, cosmopolitan and young Nigeria! I love it and I can´t get enough of such projects being built in Nigeria in particular and in Africa as a whole!

The project is completed. But no pictures have emerged.

Actually, not all of phase 1 will be complete by 2nd April.

What is happening on the ground is the functional completion (and handover) of SUBSTANTIAL portions of phase 1 including most of the line shops and 2 emporia out of 4 (+ nearby parking spaces).  Arguably, the opening ceremony will be ceremonial, and will afford the public the chance to look and inspect what was actually completed.  TINAPA Business Resort said the cinemas will be complete by May, the hotel by June, and the Casino by August.  Judging by their past pledges, I believe them because they have experienced and outstanding engineers + managers.

The Tinapa as a shopping+leisure zone will be managed in its entirey by Broll Nigeria Ltd, a subsidiary of Broll South Africa pvty Ltd. (a renowned SA real estate management firm).  The security was apparently contracted to an Israeli firm, no further commens necessary!

By all measures, it will be a skeletal (yet functional) operation come April 2nd.  Still, an achievment considering the time challenges of Duke and OBJ's outgoing administrations.

In which state is this Tinapa project been built ?

Good Idea but I have not seen how they plan to recover their money by making profits.

1. who will be the customers?

2. how will the customers get there?

3. why should the customers go there?

4. what is the sustainability of the project

Ibadan amusement park was lofty project opened in 1990 I went back in 2001. It has become a ghost!

Lets quit being pessimistic, that one project did not work out does not automatically mean that another one is doomed. By the way, where in CRS is Tinapa located?

Projects in Nigeria are usually bedeviled by same problem. Like of proper planning and understanding.

As I said, it is sure a good idea but is there a sound business plan or just a govt trying to show they can embark on project??

Example: Petronas Tower is much successfuly than NNPC Tower in Abuja; why because they have a solid Business Plan.

Below the Petronas Tower is one of the best shopping mall in Malaysia, the rent alone is used to maintaine the build. Nobody comes to KL without visiting the shopping mail underneath the Tower.
